The establishment of a low-cost and facile approach for the assay of acid phosphatase(ACP)and its inhibitor is a research *** this paper,we successfully synthesized NiCo_(2)O_(4)nanosheets with peroxidase-mimicking activity in alkaline deep eutectic solvents(DESs)composed of NaOH and PEG-200,which can catalyze 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)to the oxidation state TMB(ox-TMB)in the presence of *** to L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphate can be hydrolyzed into ascorbic acid by ACP,the peroxidase-like activity of NiCo_(2)O_(4)nanosheets is ***,the addition of malathion,an inhibitor of ACP,can inhibit the activity of ACP and thus limit the production of ascorbic acid(AA).Therefore,a colorimetric approach can be established for highly sensitive and selective detection of ACP and malathion with detection limits of 0.032 U/L and 0.65 nmol/L,*** importantly,this method can be successfully applied to malathion detection in environmental samples tap water and food cucumber juice,indicating that it has potential application prospects in environmental and agricultural fields.

AIM: To investigate the ocular hemodynamic effects of applying a hot compress to the ***: The right eyes of five New Zealand white rabbits, both male and female, were hot-compressed for 18 min. An independently designed novel ocular contacttype temperature measuring device was used to measure the ocular surface temperature before and after the heating. Relevant retrobulbar hemodynamic parameters such as peak systolic velocity(PSV), end diastolic velocity(EDV), and resistance index(RI) of each of the central retinal artery(CRA), long posterior ciliary artery(LPCA), and ophthalmic artery(OA), as well as the mean velocity(V_m) of the central retinal vein(CRV), were measured using a color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) technique and expressed as mean values with standard deviation(mean±SD). A statistical analysis was conducted based on a paired t-test and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. RESULTS: The employed real-time temperature measuring device was able to accurately measure ocular surface temperature during the hot-compress process. The temperature increased after the hot compress was applied. Analysis showed that the PSV and EDV values of the CRA and LPCA significantly increased after the application of the hot compress, as did the V_m of the CRV. There were no significant changes in the EDV of the OA nor the RI of each artery. CONCLUSION: This experiment, which is the first of its kind, confirms that the retrobulbar blood flow velocities can increase upon heating the ocular surface. This simple method may be useful in the future.

AIM:To construct eukaryotic expression plasmids of full-length Hepatitis B Virus(HBV) genotype C genome,which contain lamivudine-resistant mutants(YIDD,YVDD) or wild-type strain(YMDD) ,and to observe the expression of HBV DNA and antigens [hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg) and hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg) ] of the recombinant plasmids in HepG2 cells. METHODS:Three HBV full-length genomes were amplified from the plasmids pMD18T-HBV/YIDD,pMD18T-HBV/YVDD and pMD18T-HBV/YMDD,using PCR. Three recombinant plasmids were generated by inserting each of the PCR products into the eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1(+) ,between the EcoRI and HindⅢ sites. After being characterized by restriction endonuclease digestion,and DNA sequence analysis,the recombinant plasmids were transfected into HepG2 cells. At 48 and 72 h post-transfection,the levels of intracellular viral DNA replication were detected by real-time PCR,and the expression of HBsAg and HBeAg in the cell culture supernatant was determined by EliSA. RESULTS:Restriction endonuclease digestion and DNA sequence analysis confirmed that the threerecombinant plasmids were correctly constructed. After transfecting the plasmids into HepG2 cells,high levels of intracellular viral DNA replication were observed,and HBsAg and HBeAg were secreted into the cell culture supernatant. CONCLUSION:Eukaryotic expression plasmids pcDNA3.1(+) -HBV/YIDD,pcDNA3.1(+) -HBV/YVDD or pcDNA3.1(+) -HBV/YMDD,which contained HBV genotype C full-length genome,were successfully constructed. After transfection into HepG2 cells,the recombinant plasmids efficiently expressed HBV DNA,HBsAg and HBeAg. Our results provide an experimental basis for the further study of HBV lamivudine-resistant mutants.

In this work,we established an exceptionally facile method for the preparation of Ni-CeO_(2)nanorods in a kind of deep eutectic solvents(DESs)composed of l-proline and Ce(NO_(3))_(3)·6H_(2)***,Ni-CeO_(2)nanorods were successfully prepared by adding Ni(NO_(3))_(3)·6H_(2)O to ***,we found that Ni-CeO_(2)nanorods prepared in DESs have more prominent oxidase-like activity than pure CeO_(2).The outstanding catalytic activity of Ni-CeO_(2)could be ascribed to its high Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)*** a proof-of-concept application,the Ni-CeO_(2)nanorods were successfully acted as a colorimetric platform for the sensitive determination of ascorbic acid andα-glucosidase activity,which displays excellent analytical ***,this sensing platform was applied for screening naturalα-glucosidase inhibitors,such as terpenoids from natural *** results indicated that ursolic acid and oleanolic acid had good inhibitory *** strategy not only provides a new way to construct more kinds of nanomaterials from DESs,but also offers a facile and effective tool to screen theα-glucosidase natural inhibitors as potential anti-diabetic drugs.

Optimal intestinal health and functionality are essential for animal health and performance,and simultaneously intestinal nutrient transporters and intestinal peptides are also involved in appetite and feed intake control *** the potential of essential oil(EO)in improving animal performance and improving feed palatability,we hypothesized that dietary supplementation of cinnamaldehyde and carvacrol could improve performance and appetite of nursery pigs by modulating intestinal health and ***(100 mg/kg),carvacrol(100 mg/kg),and their mixtures(including 50 mg/kg cinnamaldehyde and 50 mg/kg carvacrol)were supplemented into the diets of 240 nursery pigs for 42 d,and data related to performance were ***,the influence of EO on intestinal health,appetite and gut microbiota and their correlations were *** supplementation increased(Plity and local *** terms of intestinal development and the mucus barrier,EO promoted intestinal development and increased(P<0.05)the number of goblet ***,we found that piglets in the EO-supplemented group had upregulated(P<0.05)levels of transporters and digestive enzymes in the intestine,which were significantly associated with daily gain and feed *** addition,EO supplementation somewhat improved appetite in nursery pigs,increased the diversity of the gut microbiome and the abundance of beneficial bacteria,and there was a correlation between altered bacterial structure and appetite-related *** findings indicate that EO is effective in promoting growth performance and nutrient absorption as well as in regulating appetite by improving intestinal health and ba

Weighted total least squares(WTLS)have been regarded as the standard tool for the errors-in-variables(EIV)model in which all the elements in the observation vector and the coefficient matrix are contaminated with random ***,in many geodetic applications,some elements are error-free and some random observations appear repeatedly in different positions in the augmented coefficient *** is called the linear structured EIV(LSEIV)*** kinds of methods are proposed for the LSEIV model from functional and stochastic *** the one hand,the functional part of the LSEIV model is modified into the errors-in-observations(EIO)*** the other hand,the stochastic model is modified by applying the Moore-Penrose inverse of the cofactor *** algorithms are derived through the Lagrange multipliers method and linear *** estimation principles and iterative formula of the parameters are proven to be *** first-order approximate variance-covariance matrix(VCM)of the parameters is also derived.A numerical example is given to compare the performances of our proposed three algorithms with the STLS ***,the least squares(LS),total least squares(TLS)and linear structured weighted total least squares(LSWTLS)solutions are compared and the accuracy evaluation formula is proven to be feasible and ***,the LSWTLS is applied to the field of deformation analysis,which yields a better result than the traditional LS and TLS estimations.
