Operational reliability evaluation of restructured power systems with wind power penetration utilizing reliability network equivalent and time-sequential simulation approaches

In the last two decades,the wind power generation has been rapidly and widely developed in many regions and countries for tackling the problems of environmental pollution and sustainability of energy ***,the high share of intermittent and fluctuating wind power production has also increased the burden of system operator for securing power system reliability during the operational ***,the power system restructuring and deregulation have not only introduced the competition for reducing cost but also changed the strategy of reliability evaluation and management of power *** conventional long-term reliability evaluation techniques have been well developed,which have been more focused on planning and expansion rather than operation of power *** paper proposes a new technique for evaluating operational reliabilities of restructured power systems with high wind power *** proposed technique is based on the combination of the reliability network equivalent and time-sequential simulation *** operational reliability network equivalents are developed to represent reliability models of wind farms,conventional generation and reserve provides,fast reserve providers and transmission network in restructured power systems.A contingency management schema for real time operation considering its coupling with the dayahead market is *** time-sequential Monte Carlo simulation is used to model the chronological characteristics of corresponding reliability network *** method is also developed in the simulation procedures for improving the computational *** proposed technique can be used to evaluate customers’reliabilities considering high penetration of wind power during the power system operation in the deregulated environment.

A Stochastic Approximation Method with Enhanced Robustness for Crosstalk Cancellation

The objective of acoustic crosstalk cancellation is to use loudspeakers to deliver prescribed binaural signals(that reproduce a particular auditory scene) to a listener’s ears, which is useful for 3-D audio *** practice, the actual transfer function matrix will differ from the design matrix, because of either the listener’s head movement or rotation, etc. Crosstalk cancellation system(CCS) is very non-robust to these perturbations. Generally, in order to improve the robustness of CCS, several pairs of loudspeakers are needed whose position varies continuously as frequency varies. With the help of assumed stochastic analysis, we propose a stochastic robust approximation crosstalk cancellation method based on random perturbation matrix modeling the variations of the transfer function matrix. Under the free-field condition, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Effect of nourishing Yin and purging fire Chinese herbal mixture on delaying light-induced premature puberty in rats

CEMA-LSTM:Enhancing Contextual Feature Correlation for Radar Extrapolation Using Fine-Grained Echo Datasets

Accurate precipitation nowcasting can provide great convenience to the public so they can conduct corresponding arrangements in advance to deal with the possible impact of upcoming heavy *** relevant research activities have shown their concerns on various deep learning models for radar echo extrapolation,where radar echo maps were used to predict their consequent moment,so as to recognize potential severe convective weather ***,these approaches suffer from an inaccurate prediction of echo dynamics and unreliable depiction of echo aggregation or dissipation,due to the size limitation of convolution filter,lack of global feature,and less attention to features from previous *** address the problems,this paper proposes a CEMA-LSTM recurrent unit,which is embedded with a Contextual Feature Correlation Enhancement Block(CEB)and a Multi-Attention Mechanism Block(MAB).The CEB enhances contextual feature correlation and supports its model to memorize significant features for near-future prediction;the MAB uses a position and channel attention mechanism to capture global features of radar *** practical radar echo datasets were used involving the FREM and CIKM 2017 *** quantification and visualization of comparative experimental results have demonstrated outperformance of the proposed CEMA-LSTMover recentmodels,e.g.,PhyDNet,MIM and PredRNN++,*** particular,compared with the second-rankedmodel,its average POD,FAR and CSI have been improved by 3.87%,1.65%and 1.79%,respectively on the FREM,and by 1.42%,5.60%and 3.16%,respectively on the CIKM 2017.

Variation of spatio-temporal distribution of on-road vehicle emissions based on real-time RFID data

High-resolution vehicular emissions inventories are important for managing vehicular pollution and improving urban air quality. This study developed a vehicular emission inventory with high spatio-temporal resolution in the main urban area of Chongqing, based on realtime traffic data from 820 RFID detectors covering 454 roads, and the differences in spatiotemporal emission characteristics between inner and outer districts were analysed. The result showed that the daily vehicular emission intensities of CO, hydrocarbons, PM2.5, PM10,and NO_(x) were 30.24, 3.83, 0.18, 0.20, and 8.65 kg/km per day, respectively, in the study area during 2018. The pollutants emission intensities in inner district were higher than those in outer district. Light passenger cars(LPCs) were the main contributors of all-day CO emissions in the inner and outer districts, from which the contributors of NO_(x) emissions were different. Diesel and natural gas buses were major contributors of daytime NO_(x) emissions in inner districts, accounting for 40.40%, but buses and heavy duty trucks(HDTs) were major contributors in outer districts. At nighttime, due to the lifting of truck restrictions and suspension of buses, HDTs become the main NO_(x) contributor in both inner and outer districts,and its three NO_(x) emission peak hours were found, which are different to the peak hours of total NO_(x) emission by all vehicles. Unlike most other cities, bridges and connecting channels are always emission hotspots due to long-time traffic congestion. This knowledge will help fully understand vehicular emissions characteristics and is useful for policymakers to design precise prevention and control measures.

Identification and validation of a major gene for kernel length at the P1 locus in Triticum polonicum

Kernel size, one of the traits that determine wheat yield, is controlled by multiple quantitative trait *** wheat(Triticum polonicum) has elongated and plump kernel and is a valuable material for breeding high-yielding wheat cultivars. However, genes or loci determining kernel length(KL) in Polish wheat are unknown. We identified and validated a major KL gene, KL-PW, at the P1 locus in Polish wheat. KL-PW is VRT-A2, which encodes a MIKC-type MADS-box protein(MADS55). An insertion/deletion mutation in intron 1 of VRT-A2;led to an alternatively spliced transcript, VRT-A2;. Quantitative PCR analysis showed that VRT-A2;was more highly expressed in developing seeds than was VRT-A2 ***(BR) sensitivity experiment and the expression of BR-related genes indicated that VRTA2;functions as a positive regulator of BR responses. VRT-A2;significantly increased KL of *** findings not only reveal the molecular basis of KL-PW in controlling KL, but also provide a valuable genetic resource for increasing kernel size in wheat.
