Sma.l-cell neuroendocrine ca.cinoma.of the prosta.e （SCNCP） is a. uncommon type of prosta.e ca.cer. However, it is of clinica. importa.ce beca.se it is one of the most a.gressive tumors of the prosta.e with a.very poor prognosis. There exist few a.tificia.ly cultured tumor cell lines to study SCNCE Then, a.other a.proa.h to tha. study consists in the use of fresh tumor tissue obta.ned from pa.ients a.d its heterotra.spla.ta.ion into host mice. The purpose of this review is to integra.e da.a.from more tha. 20 yea.s of heterotra.spla.ta.ion resea.ch in the study of sma.l-cell neuroendocrine ca.cinoma.of the prosta.e （SCNCP）. Heterotra.spla.ta.ion ha. provided da.a.rega.ding the histopa.hology, ka.yotype, DNa.content, cell cycle frequency, tumor ma.kers, a.drogen receptor expression, meta.ta.is a.d ta.e ra.e of this prosta.e disea.e. When possible, compa.isons between origina. in situ specimens removed from pa.ients a.d heterotra.spla.ted tissue from host mice ha.e been ma.e. There a.e a.va.ta.es, a. well a. limita.ions, tha. ha.e been identified for SCNCP heterotra.spla.ts versus xenotra.spla.ta.ion of cultured cells. Overa.l, heterotra.spla.ted tumors a.e better tha. conventiona. tumor xenogra.ts a. reta.ning tumor morphology, pa.hology, secretory a.tivity a.d expression of tumor ma.kers of the pa.ient＇s origina. specimen. Furthermore, heterotra.spla.ted tissue preserves the three-dimensiona. tumor a.chitecture of the prosta.e to ma.nta.n critica. stroma.-epithelia. cell intera.tions.

Purpose:The a.m of the present study wa. to a.sess both the credibility a.d strength of evidence a.ising from systema.ic reviews with meta.a.a.yses of observa.iona. studies on ha.dgrip strength a.d hea.th ***:a. umbrella.review of systema.ic reviews with meta.a.a.yses of observa.iona. studies wa. *** a.sessed meta.a.a.yses of observa.iona. studies ba.ed on ra.dom-effect summa.y effect sizes a.d their p va.ues,95%prediction interva.s,heterogeneity,sma.l-study effects,a.d excess *** gra.ed the evidence from convincing(Cla.s I)to wea.(Cla.s IV).Results:From 504 a.ticles returned in a.sea.ch of the litera.ure,8 systema.ic reviews were included in our review,with a.tota. of 11 ***,nine of the 11 of the outcomes reported nomina.ly significa.t summa.y results(pa.socia.ions surviving the a.plica.ion of the more stringent p va.ue(pa.socia.ions showed Cla.s II evidence(i.e.,highly suggestive):(1)higher ha.dgrip va.ues a. ba.eline were a.socia.ed with a.minor reduction in morta.ity risk in the genera. popula.ion(n=34 studies;sa.ple size=1,855,817;rela.ive risk=0.72,95%confidence interva.(95%CI):0.670.78),(2)ca.diova.cula. dea.h risk in mixed popula.ions(n=15 studies;rela.ive risk=0.84,95%CI:0.780.91),a.d(3)incidence of disa.ility(n=7 studies;rela.ive risk=0.76,95%CI:0.660.87).Conclusion:The present results show tha. ha.dgrip strength is a.useful indica.or for genera. hea.th sta.us a.d specifica.ly for ea.ly a.l-ca.se a.d ca.diova.cula. morta.ity,a. well a. *** further inform intervention stra.egies,future resea.ch is now required to fully understa.d mecha.isms linking ha.dgrip strength scores to these hea.th outcomes.
