While the structures of plant primary metabolic pathways are generally well defined and highly conserved across species,those defining specialized metabolism are less well characterized and more highly variable across *** this study,we investigated polyphenolic metabolism in the lycopersicum complex by characterizing the underlying biosynthetic and decorative reactions that constitute the metabolic network of polyphenols across eight different species of *** this purpose,GC-MS-and LC-MS-based metabolomics of different tissues of Solatium lycopersicum and wild tomato species were carried out,in concert with the evaluation of cross-hybridized microarray data for MapMan-based transcriptomic analysis,and publicly available RNA-sequencing data for annotation of biosynthetic *** combined data were used to compile species-specific metabolic networks of polyphenolic metabolism,allowing the establishment of an entire pan-species biosynthetic framework as well as annotation of the functions of decoration enzymes involved in the formation of metabolic diversity of the flavonoid *** combined results are discussed in the context of the current understanding of tomato flavonol biosynthesis as well as a global view of metabolic shifts during fruit *** results provide an example as to how large-scale biology approaches can be used for the definition and refinement of large specialized metabolism pathways.

Virtual anthropology:a preliminary test of macroscopic observation versus 3D surface scans and computed tomography(CT)scans

Virtual anthropology(VA)is based on applying anthropological methods currently used to analyse bones to 3D models of human *** great advances have been made in this endeavour in the past decade,several interrogations concerning how reliable these models are and what their proper use should be remain *** this research,a fundamental assumption of VA has been investigated:if the way we perceive and apply an anthropological method is truly similar when looking at bones macroscopically and through various 3D *** order to answer,10 skulls of known age and sex were scanned using a computed tomography(CT)scanner and a 3D surface *** observers separately applied a defined staging method to eight suture sites on these skulls,first looking at the bone macroscopically,then at the 3D surface scan,and finally on the CT *** rounds of observation were carried out by each ***-and inter-observer error were evaluated,and two sample t-tests used to evaluate if the different types of medium used yielded significantly different *** results show a high degree of inter-observer error,and that data obtained from 3D surface scans differ from macroscopic observation(confidence level 95%,P≤0.05).CT scans,in these settings,yielded results comparable to those obtained through macroscopic *** results offer many possibilities for future research,including indications on the kind of anthropological methods and anatomical landmarks that might be reliably transferable to the virtual *** current methods used in traditional anthropology should be tested,and if they prove unreliable,new techniques to analyse bones from virtual models should be developed.

本研究的目的在于通过探讨意大利天然气系统中可使用的灵活性手段间所存在的关系,建立理论背景,以解释当使用可选择性储存容量分配时,该产业在具体活动中体现的动态性和竞争性。本研究对意大利等受地理因素局限的国家具有十分重要的意义。因为自然资源的匮乏,使得这些国家不仅要依靠外国的天然气供应以维持社会和经济稳定,同时也需要适当的灵活性设备来确保能源供应的安全性。这意味着天然气系统必须时刻准备解决可预知与不可预知的波动。由此,本文通过实证研究的手段,介绍了意大利的天然气需求特点、对灵活性的需要以及为满足这种灵活性的可行性手段。因此,本次研究的目标是多方面的。首先,我们探讨了目前对灵活性的需求以及这种需求是如何随着时间改变的。其次,以意大利市场两个主要的灵活性手段(存储和进口)为重点,分析了意大利系统对灵活性手段的需求是如何作出反应的、灵活性手段的相对有效性,以及二种灵活性手段之间的关系。特别是我们探究不同用户类型(住宅型、工业型、供热型),与季节性和高峰调整对意大利天然气的需求的波动性。此外,我们还分析了供应系统针对短期失衡的反应能力。法律框架,不仅是历史趋势和目前状态的核心决定因素之一,也是最近监管改革的可能影响需要考虑的内容。本次研究结果证明,这两种灵活性手段不仅是不完全的替代品,而且周期性表现出相互替代和相互补充。本文将在实证中观察到的一系列程式化特点,包括供应方的集中,整合成一个模型。不同于传统文献中(静态的,将两种灵活性手段作为完美替代品)的模式,该模型通过紧密联系实际数据,包含了动态需求表(季节性),考虑了不同灵活性手段的替代性和互补性路径。毫不奇怪,与传统的看法相反,动态模式信号的引入代表着灵活性输入的单独分配,导致了次优市场的均衡,因为它并不能保证系统成本的最小化。本论文结构设置如下：第一部分介绍了主体。第二部分的目的在于阐述欧洲和其他成员国为能建立非常完善的立法框架来调节天然气储存所投入的相当多的政策努力的理论依据。第三部分概述了欧盟在天然气市场自由化以及为建立一个统一、连贯的监管框架基础而采取的实际行动。第四部分专门分析了意大利的案例。首先,在4.1部分中描述了意大利对欧洲规则的应用、资源调节的相关法律及其采用的灵活性手段。其次,对意大利的天然气市场进行了深入的实证分析,特别侧重分析了面对天然气需求急剧变化时,储存和进口手段所能发挥的作用。第五部分探讨了模式的建立,以实证研究结果与实际需要进行匹配为重点,力求创建一个符合现实的程式化模型。最后,第六部分对本研究所获的基本结果进行总结。

Dear Editor, y-Aminobutyric acid （GABA） is a non-protein amino acid （AA） metabolized via the GABA shunt; a three-enzyme pathway that includes glutamate decarboxylase （GAD）, GABA transaminases （GABA-T）, and succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase （SSADH）（Bown and Shelp, 1997; Bouch~ and Fromm, 2004）. The majority of work on GABA, to date, has focused on its role as an inhibitory neurotransmitter in mammals. In plants, however, due to its intermediate posi- tion between carbon （C） and nitrogen （N）, the metabolism of GABA has been suggested as a modulator of C-N balance （Fair et al., 2008）. In addition, the numerous observations of a rapid accumulation of GABA in response to （a）biotic stresses has prompted different hypotheses to be postu- lated on its role including a regulator of cytosolic pH and a herbivore deterrent （Bouche and Fromm, 2004; Roberts, 2007）. Additionally, a signaling role has been hypothesized in plants, though evidence remains elusive and the debate on the dual function of GABA as a signaling molecule and as a metabolite in plants remains ongoing. In the present work, we report changes in the metabolite and transcript profiles in Arabidopsis seedlings exposed to exogenous GABA. Liquid-grown seedlings were cultured under C and N limitation to reveal a possible role of GABA as either C or N substrate and to ascertain its influence on transcriptional programs.

用Eoehringer Mannheim Biochemica的pAV401探针,以分子杂交的方法鉴定了马铃薯和番茄中的马铃薯纺锤块茎类病毒(PSTV)。试验表明当用探针浓度为200ng/ml, β-半乳糖苷酶为100 mU/ml,即酶结合物稀释至1:100时,可以测定出提纯PSTV—RNA最低浓度为390pg/斑点,感染PSTV的马铃薯和番茄叶片汁液最高稀释浓度为1:128。样品提取方法试验表明,以酚法教果为最佳。健康马铃薯汁液对提纯PSTV—RNA鉴定效果无明显影响。样品汁液在稀释前予先变性对提高杂交效果无明显作用。本文对Boehringer pAV401探针检测PSTV的灵敏度,所用探针浓度以及显色系统进行了讨论和评价。

Abscess in Primary Tuberculosis of Breast: Case Report

Purpose: To highlight the diagnostic challenges of breast tuberculosis. Mammary tuberculosis is a rare disease. Its clinical and radiological characteristics are similar to other breast diseases in young women, such as granulomatous mastitis and breast carcinoma. Materials and Methods: We report a case of primary tuberculosis of a 34 years old woman who presented bilateral abscess with refractory secretion of blood and pus drainage to previous treatment with conventional antibiotic therapy of granulomatous mastitis. Results: A tuberculous mammary was observed and confirmed in the case. The diagnosis was based on imaging tests and complementary tests. Anti-tuberculosis treatment was prescribed during 6 months, and the evolution was favorable for one patient. Conclusion: Tuberculosis continued to present diagnostic difficulties, particularly in its breast tuberculosis form.

Survival of living organisms is fully dependent on their maintenance of genome integrity,being permanently threatened by replication stress in proliferating *** the plant DNA damage response(DDR)regulator SOG1 has been demonstrated to cope with replication defects,accumulating evidence points to other pathways functioning independent of ***,we report the roles of the Arabidopsis E2FA and EF2B transcription factors,two well-characterized regulators of DNA replication,in plant response to replication *** a combination of reverse genetics and chromatin immunoprecipitation approaches,we show that E2FA and E2FB share many target genes with SOG1,providing evidence for their involvement in the *** of double-and triple-mutant combinations revealed that E2FB,rather than E2FA,plays the most prominent role in sustaining plant growth in the presence of replication defects,either operating antagonistically or synergistically with ***,SOG1 aids in overcoming the replication defects of E2FA/E2FB-deficient ***,our data reveal a complex transcriptional network controlling the replication stress response in which E2Fs and SOG1 act as key regulatory factors.
