The conjunction of factors that lead to formation of giant gold provinces and deposits in non-arc settings

It is quite evident that it is not anomalous metal transport,nor unique depositional conditions,nor any single factor at the deposit scale,that dictates whether a mineral deposit becomes a giant or not.A hierarchical approach thus is required to progressively examine controlling parameters at successively decreasing scales in the total mineral system to understand the location of giant gold deposits in non-arc *** giant orogenic,intrusion-related gold systems（IRGS） and Carlin-type gold deposits and iron oxide-copper-gold（IOCG） deposits,there are common factors among all of these at the lithospheric to crustal *** are sited in giant gold provinces controlled by complex fundamental fault or shear zones that follow craton margins or,in the case of most Phanerozoic orogenic giants,define the primary suture zones between tectonic *** provinces of IRGS,IOCG,and Carlin-type deposits require melting of metasomatized lithosphere beneath craton margins with ascent of hybrid lamprophyric to granitic magmas and associated heat flux to generate the giant *** IRGS and IOCG deposits require direct exsolution of volatile-rich magmatic-hydrothermal fluids,whereas the association of such melts with Carlin-type ores is more indirect and *** orogenic gold provinces show no direct relationship to such *** from metamorphic fluids,but show an indirect relationship to lamprophyres that reflect the mantle connectivity of controlling first-order *** contrast to their province scale similarities,the different giant gold deposit styles show contrasting critical controls at the district to deposit *** orogenic gold deposits,the giants appear to have formed by conjunction of a greater number of parameters to those that control smaller deposits,with resultant geometrical and lithostratigraphic complexity as a guide to their *** are few giant IRGS due to their inferior fluid-flux systems relative to orogeni

In vitro Characterization of PBLG-g-HA/PLLA Nanocomposite Scaffolds

The purpose of the present study was to synthesize a new composites scaffold containing poly（γ-benzyl-L-glutamate） modified hydroxyapatite/（poly（L-lactic acid））（PBLG-g-HA/PLLA） and to investigate their in vitro behaviour on bone mesenchymal stromal cells（BMSCs）. The results demonstrated that BMSC proliferation was signifi cantly increased on PBLG-g-HA/PLLA scaffolds after 3 and 7 days post seeding when compared to PLLA and HA/PLLA scaffolds. The in vitro osteogenic differentiation also favoured the composite PBLG-g-HA/PLLA scaffolds when compared to controls by signifi cantly increasing Runx2, ALP or osteocalcin mRNA expression as assessed by real-time PCR. The results illustrate the potential of PBLG-g-HA/PLLA scaffolds for bone tissue engineering applications. And the in vivo testing further confi rms the PBLG-gHA/PLLA scaffolds＇ potentioal for healing critical bone defects.

3-Methoxy-, 3, 5-dimethoxy-, and 3-phenyl-4-hydroxyacetophenones suffered alkyl carbonyl C-C bond scission to yield 4-hydroxybenzoate esters and 4-isopropenylphenols under standard conditions of ethylene ketal formation; the latter underwent in situ dimerization, cyclization, and rearrangement to give substituted indanols. The isopropenylphenol derived from 3,5-ditertbutyl-4-hydroxyacetophenone did not dimerize but condensed with its precursor to yield a substituted diphenylpropanone. 3-nitro-, 3,5-dinitro-, and 3,5-dibromo-4-hydroxyacetophenones on the other hand reacted normally to give ethylene ketals in good yields.

Nearly all inf-sup stable mixed finite elements for the incompressible Stokes equations relax the divergence constraint. The price to pay is that a priori estimates for the ve- locity error become pressure-dependent, while divergence-free mixed finite elements de- liver pressure-independent estimates. A recently introduced new variational crime using lowest-order Raviart-Thomas velocity reconstructions delivers a much more robust modi- fied Crouzeix-Raviart element, obeying an optimal pressure-independent discrete H1 ve- locity estimate. Refining this approach, a more sophisticated variational crime employing the lowest-order BDM element is proposed, which also allows proving an optimal pressure- independent L2 velocity error. Numerical examples confirm the analysis and demonstrate the improved robustness in the Navier-Stokes case.

EFFECT OF CARBON MIGRATION ON CREEP PROPERTIES OF Cr5Mo DISSIMILAR WELDED jOINTS WITH Ni-BASED AND AUSTENITIC WELD METAL

In this paper, the effect of carbon migration on creep properties of Cr5Mo dissimilar welded joints with Ni-based (Inconel 182) and Cr23Nil3 (A302) austenitic weld metal was investigated. Carbon migration near the weld metal/ferritic steel interface of Cr5Mo dissimilar welded joints was analyzed by aging method. Local creep deformations of the dissimilar welded joints were measured by a long-term local creep deformation measuring technique. The creep rupture testing was performed for Cr5Mo dissimilar welded joints with Inconel 182 and A302 weld metal. The research results show that the maximum creep strain rate occurs in the decarburized zone located on heat affect zone (HAZ) of Cr5Mo ferritic steel. The creep rupture life of Cr5Mo dissimilar welded joints with A 302 weld metal decreases due to carbon migration and is about 50% of that welded with Inconel 182 weld metal.

This paper analyses and summarizes the natural radionuclide contents of soil and building materials, radon concentrations and the penetrating radiation levels in Hong Kong. From these, a thorough and objective assessment for the terrestrial background irradiation level of Hong Kong was made. Finally, the annual effective dose equivalent received by Hong Kong people due to the natural background irradiation was calculated to be 3.2 mSv.

Predicting and Curing Depression Using Long Short Term Memory and Global Vector

In today’s world, there are many people suffering from mentalhealth problems such as depression and anxiety. If these conditions are notidentified and treated early, they can get worse quickly and have far-reachingnegative effects. Unfortunately, many people suffering from these conditions,especially depression and hypertension, are unaware of their existence until theconditions become chronic. Thus, this paper proposes a novel approach usingBi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) algorithm and GlobalVector (GloVe) algorithm for the prediction and treatment of these *** and fitness bands can be equipped with these algorithms whichcan share data with a variety of IoT devices and smart systems to betterunderstand and analyze the user’s condition. We compared the accuracy andloss of the training dataset and the validation dataset of the two modelsnamely, Bi-LSTM without a global vector layer and with a global vector *** was observed that the model of Bi-LSTM without a global vector layer hadan accuracy of 83%,while Bi-LSTMwith a global vector layer had an accuracyof 86% with a precision of 86.4%, and an F1 score of 0.861. In addition toproviding basic therapies for the treatment of identified cases, our model alsohelps prevent the deterioration of associated conditions, making our methoda real-world solution.

CH_4 Oxidation Potentials of Diferent Land Uses in Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Central Subtropical China

To compare the CH4 oxidation potential among different land uses and seasons, and to observe its response to monsoon precipi- tation pattern and carbon and nitrogen parameters, a one-year study was conducted for different land uses （vegetable field, tilled and non-tilled orchard, upland crops and pine forest） in central subtropical China. Results showed significant differences in CH4 oxidation potential among different land uses （ranging from -3.08 to 0.36 kg CH4 ha-1 year-l）. Upland with corn-peanut-sweet potato rotation showed the highest CH4 emission, while pine forest showed the highest CH4 oxidation potential among all land uses. Non-tilled citrus orchard （-0.72 ~ 0.08 kg CHa ha-1 year-1） absorbed two times more CH4 than tilled citrus orchard （-0.38 ~ 0.06 kg CH4 ha-1 year-l）. Irrespective of different vegetation, inorganic N fertilizer application significantly influenced CH4 fluxes across the sites （R2 ： 0.86, P -- 0.002）. Water-filled pore space, soil microbial biomass carbon, and dissolved nitrogen showed significant effects across different land uses （31% to 38% of variability） in one linear regression model. However, their cumulative interaction was significant for pine forest only, which might be attributed to undisturbed microbial communities legitimately responding to other variables, leading to net CH4 oxidation in the soil. These results suggested that i） natural soil condition tended to create win-win situation for CH4 oxidation, and agricultural activities could disrupt the oxidation potentials of the soils; and ii） specific management practices including but not limiting to efficient fertilizer application and utilization, water use efficiency, and less soil disruption might be required to increase the CH4 uptake from the soil.
