●AIM:To evaluate the role of semaphorin 7A(Sema7A)and its associated regulatory mechanisms in modulating the barrier function of cultured human corneal epithelial cells(HCEs).●METHODS:Barrier models of HCEs were treated with recombinant human Sema7A at concentrations of 0,125,250,or 500 ng/mL for 24,48,or 72h in *** electrical resistance(TEER)as well as Dextran-fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC)permeability assays were conducted to assess barrier *** quantify tight junctions(TJs)such as occludin and zonula occludens-1(ZO-1)at the mRNA level,reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)analysis was *** was used to examine the activity of the nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathway and the production of TJs *** analyses were employed to localize the ***-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and RT-PCR were utilized to observe changes in interleukin(IL)-1β*** investigate the role of NF-κB signaling activation and IL^(-1)βin Sema7A’s anti-barrier mechanism,we employed 0.1μmol/L IκB kinase 2(IKK2)inhibitor IV or 500 ng/mL IL^(-1)receptor(IL-1R)antagonist.●RESULTS:Treatment with Sema7A resulted in decreased TEER and increased permeability of Dextran-FITC in HCEs through down-regulating mRNA and protein levels of TJs in a time-and dose-dependent manner,as well as altering the localization of ***,Sema7A stimulated the activation of inhibitor of kappa B alpha(IκBα)and expression of IL-1β.The anti-barrier function of Sema7A was significantly suppressed by treatment with IKK2 inhibitor IV or IL-1R antagonists.●CONCLUSION:Sema7A disrupts barrier function through its influence on NF-κB-mediated expression of TJ proteins,as well as the expression of IL-1β.These findings suggest that Sema7A could be a potential therapeutic target for the diseases in corneal epithelium.

Nitro-aromatic compounds(NACs)are among the major components of brown carbon(BrC)in the atmosphere,causing negative impacts on regional climate,air quality,and ecological *** to the extensive origins,it is still a challenge to figure out the contributions and originating regions for different sources of atmospheric ***,field observations on fine particulate NACs were conducted at a coastal rural area in Qingdao,China in the winter of 2018 and *** mean total concentrations of fine particulate nitro-aromatic compounds were 125.0±89.5 and 27.7±21.1 ng/m^(3)in the winter of 2018 and 2019,*** the measured eleven NACs,nitrophenols and nitrocatechols were the most abundant *** characteristics and correlation analysis showed that humidity and anthropogenic primary emissions had significant influences on the NAC *** this study,two tracing methods of the improved spatial concentration weighted trajectory(SCWT)model and the receptor model of positive matrix factorization(PMF)were combined to comprehensively understand the origins of NACs in fine particles at coastal *** major sources were identified,including coal combustion,biomass burning,vehicle exhaust,and secondary ***,coal combustion was responsible for about half of the observed nitro-aromatic compounds,followed by biomass burning(~30%).The results by SCWT demonstrated that the coal combustion dominated NACs mainly originated from the Shandong peninsula and the areas to the north and southwest,while those dominated by biomass burning primarily came from local Qingdao and the areas to the west.

目的探讨腰大池置管引流术联合万古霉素鞘内注射治疗开颅术后颅内感染的临床效果。方法选取2017年1月至2023年1月我院收治的80例开颅术后颅内感染患者,随机分为两组各40例。对照组采用盐酸万古霉素静脉滴注治疗,观察组采用腰大池置管引流术联合万古霉素鞘内注射治疗。比较两组的治疗效果、颅内压与脑脊液相关指标。结果观察组的治疗总有效率为95.00%,显著高于对照组的77.50%(P<0.05)。治疗后,观察组的颅内压以及脑脊液中白细胞计数、蛋白质水平均显著低于对照组,脑脊液中葡萄糖水平显著高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论腰大池置管引流术联合万古霉素鞘内注射治疗开颅术后颅内感染效果显著,可明显降低患者颅内压,改善患者的脑脊液指标。

Incorporating geotechnical and geophysical investigations for underground obstruction detection:A case study

Determining the location and boundary of underground obstructions and/or anomalies is a common problem and often a great chal-lenge for tunneling and underground *** this study,geotechnical investigations(penetration tests and borehole drilling/sam-pling)and geophysical investigations(surface wave method and cross-hole seismic method)were conducted with the aim of identifying the location and boundary of rock obstructions in Changi East,*** surface wave method is frequently used in the sites with lateral homogeneity in previous studies,but its application in the sites with rock obstructions is *** experimental results of this study indicate that the surface wave method is also able to determine the upper surface of rock obstructions,but difficult to identify the lateral and bottom boundaries of rock *** improve the precision of detection,the full waveform inversion(FWI)method was used to process the data from the cross-hole seismic *** results indicate that the inversion precision of P-wave is higher than that of *** horizontal and vertical ranges of rock obstructions in the P-wave inversion results are 14–26 m and 7.5–11.0 m respectively,roughly consistent with the results of penetration tests(about 15–25 m)and borehole log(8.85–10.80 m).This result proves that the sequential application of first-arrival time analysis and FWI can effectively delineate the boundary of rock ***,the results of various detection methods were analyzed and compared in this *** the advantages of various methods,we propose a cost-effective and high-precision workflow containing both geotechnical and geophysical investigations.

Uniqueness and perturbation bounds for sparse non-negative tensor equations

We discuss the uniqueness and the perturbation analysis for sparse non-negative tensor equations arriving from data sciences. By two different techniques, we may get better ranges of parameters to guarantee the uniqueness of the solution of the tensor equation. On the other hand, we present some perturbation bounds for the tensor equation. Numerical examples are given to show the efficiency of the theoretical results.

Single-atom modified graphene cocatalyst for enhanced photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction on halide perovskite

Metal halide perovskite(MHP)has become one of the most promising materials for photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction owing to the wide light absorption range,negative conduction band position and high reduction ***,photoreduction of CO_(2)by MHP remains a challenge because of the slow charge separation and ***,a cobalt single-atom modified nitrogen-doped graphene(Co-ng)cocatalyst is prepared for enhanced photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction of bismuth-based MHP Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9).The optimal Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9)/Co-ng composite exhibits the CO production rate of 123.16μmol g-1 h-1,which is 17.3 times higher than that of Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9).Moreover,the Cs_(3)Bi_(2)Br_(9)/Co-ng composite photocatalyst exhibits nearly 100%CO selectivity as well as impressive long-term *** carrier dynamic characterizations such as Kelvin probe force microscopy(KPFM),single-particle PL microscope and transient absorption(TA)spectroscopy demonstrate the vital role of Co-ng cocatalyst in accelerating the transfer and separation of photogenerated charges and improving photocatalytic *** reaction mechanism has been demonstrated by in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier-transform spectroscopy *** addition,in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy test and theoretical calculation reveal the reaction reactive sites and reaction energy barriers,demonstrating that the introduction of Co-ng promotes the formation of~(*)COOH intermediate,providing sufficient evidence for the highly selective generation of *** work provides an effective single-atom-based cocatalyst modification strategy for photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction and is expected to shed light on other photocatalytic applications.

诺如病毒腹泻患者血清I-FABP、MIP-1α水平检测及诊断价值分析

目的探讨诺如病毒感染性腹泻患者血清肠型脂肪酸结合蛋白(I-FABP)、巨噬细胞炎性蛋白-1α(MIP-1α)水平检测及诊断价值。方法纳入本院收治的诺如病毒感染性腹泻患者90例(诺如组),细菌感染性腹泻患者90例(细菌组)及健康志愿者90例(对照组)。酶联免疫吸附法检测血清I-FABP、MIP-1α水平,比较3组血清I-FABP、MIP-1α水平差异。诺如组根据脱水分型将其分为:无脱水(28例)、轻度脱水(37例)与严重脱水(25例),分析不同脱水分型患者血清I-FABP、MIP-1α及肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、C反应蛋白(CRP)、白介素(IL)-6水平。受试者工作特征(ROC)曲线评价血清I-FABP、MIP-1α对细菌感染性腹泻与诺如病毒感染性腹泻的鉴别价值,Pearson法分析血清I-FABP、MIP-1α水平与炎症因子水平相关性,多元线性回归分析诺如组血清I-FABP或MIP-1α水平的影响因素。结果对照组、诺如组及细菌组患者血清I-FABP[(2.57±0.43)ng/mL、(4.29±0.61)ng/mL、(5.22±0.70)ng/mL]、MIP-1α水平[(109.64±17.88)pg/mL、(173.52±19.05)pg/mL、(201.74±18.46)pg/mL]逐次升高(Png/mL、191.59 pg/mL,AUC分别为0.836、0.884,准确度分别为78.33%、80.00%,而二者联合检测的AUC为0.950,准确度为87.22%,联合检测的AUC优于单独I-FABP、MIP-1α(Z/P=4.453/0.000、3.437/0.001)。与对照组相比,诺如组血清TNF-α、IL-6、CRP水平升高,与细菌组相比,诺如组血清TNF-α、IL-6、CRP水平降低(P<0.05)。无脱水患者血清I-FABP、MIP-1α、TNF-α、IL-6、CRP低于轻度脱水,轻度脱水患者血清I-FABP、MIP-1α及TNF-α、IL-6、CRP水平低于严重脱水(P<0.05)。相关性分析显示,诺如病毒感染性腹泻患者血清I-FABP、MIP-1α水平均与TNF-α、IL-6、CRP呈正相关(P<0.01)。多元线性回归分析,发现血清TNF-α升高、IL-6升高、CRP升高均是I-FABP、MIP-1α的影响因素(P<0.05)。结论诺如病毒感染性腹泻患者血清I-FABP、MIP-1α水平低于细菌性腹泻者,可用于鉴别诺如病毒感染性腹泻与细菌性腹泻,且二者均与炎症因子呈正相关,可能通过调控炎症反应参与诺如病毒感染性腹泻发病过程。
