The authors study rotational hypersurfaces with constant Gauss-Kronecker curvature in R^(n).They solve the ODE associated with the generating curve of such hypersurface using integral expressions and obtain several geometric properties of such *** particular,they discover a class of non-compact rotational hypersurfaces with constant and negative Gauss-Kronecker curvature and finite volume,which can be seen as the higher-dimensional generalization of the pseudo-sphere.

In the field of supercomputing, one key issue for scal-able shared-memory multiprocessors is the design of the directory which denotes the sharing state for a cache block. A good direc-tory design intends to achieve three key attributes： reasonable memory overhead, sharer position precision and implementation complexity. However, researchers often face the problem that gain-ing one attribute may result in losing another. The paper proposes an elastic pointer directory （EPD） structure based on the analysis of shared-memory applications, taking the fact that the number of sharers for each directory entry is typical y smal . Analysis re-sults show that for 4 096 nodes, the ratio of memory overhead to the ful-map directory is 2.7%. Theoretical analysis and cycle-accurate execution-driven simulations on a 16 and 64-node cache coherence non uniform memory access （CC-NUMA） multiproces-sor show that the corresponding pointer overflow probability is reduced significantly. The performance is observed to be better than that of a limited pointers directory and almost identical to the ful-map directory, except for the slight implementation complex-ity. Using the directory cache to explore directory access locality is also studied. The experimental result shows that this is a promis-ing approach to be used in the state-of-the-art high performance computing domain.

Battery production is crucial for determining the quality of electrode,which in turn affects the manufactured battery *** battery production is complicated with strongly coupled intermediate and control parameters,an efficient solution that can perform a reliable sensitivity analysis of the production terms of interest and forecast key battery properties in the early production phase is urgently *** paper performs detailed sensitivity analysis of key production terms on determining the properties of manufactured battery electrode via advanced data-driven *** be specific,an explainable neural network named generalized additive model with structured interaction(GAM-SI)is designed to predict two key battery properties,including electrode mass loading and porosity,while the effects of four early production terms on manufactured batteries are explained and *** experimental results reveal that the proposed method is able to accurately predict battery electrode properties in the mixing and coating *** addition,the importance ratio ranking,global interpretation and local interpretation of both the main effects and pairwise interactions can be effectively visualized by the designed neural *** to the merits of interpretability,the proposed GAM-SI can help engineers gain important insights for understanding complicated production behavior,further benefitting smart battery production.

In the construction of Metaverses,sensors that are referred to as the“bridge of information transmission”,play a key *** functionality and efficiency of today’s sensors,which operate in a manner similar to physical sensing,are frequently constrained by their hardware and *** this research,we proposed the Parallel Sensing framework,which includes background,concept,basic methods and typical application of parallel *** our formulation,sensors are redefined as the integration of real physical sensors and virtual software-defined sensors based on parallel intelligence,in order to boost the performance of the *** sensor will have a parallel counterpart in the virtual world within the framework of parallel *** sensors serve as the brain of sensors and maintain the same properties as physical *** sensing allows physical sensors to operate in discrete time periods to conserve energy,while cloud-based descriptive,predictive,and prescriptive sensors operate continuously to offer compensation data and serve as *** better illustrate parallel sensing concept,we show some example applications of parallel sensing such as parallel vision,parallel point cloud and parallel light fields,both of which are designed by construct virtual sensors to extend small real data to virtual big data and then boost the performance of perception *** results demonstrate the effective of parallel sensing *** interaction between the real and virtual worlds enables sensors to operate actively,allowing them to intelligently adapt to various scenarios and ultimately attain the goal of“Cognitive,Parallel,Crypto,Federated,Social and Ecologic”6S sensing.

The mesoscale eddy(ME)has a significant influence on the convergence effect in deep-sea acoustic *** paper use statistical approaches to express quantitative relationships between the ME conditions and convergence zone(CZ)*** on the Gaussian vortex model,we construct various sound propagation scenarios under different eddy conditions,and carry out sound propagation experiments to obtain simulation *** a large number of samples,we first adopt the unified regression to set up analytic relationships between eddy conditions and CZ *** sensitivity of eddy indicators to the CZ is quantitatively ***,we adopt the machine learning(ML)algorithms to establish prediction models of CZ parameters by exploring the nonlinear relationships between multiple ME indicators and CZ *** the research,we can express the influence of ME on the CZ quantitatively,and achieve the rapid prediction of CZ parameters in ocean *** prediction accuracy(R)of the CZ distance(mean R:0.9815)is obviously better than that of the CZ width(mean R:0.8728).Among the three ML algorithms,Gradient Boosting Decision Tree has the best prediction ability(root mean square error(RMSE):0.136),followed by Random Forest(RMSE:0.441)and Extreme Learning Machine(RMSE:0.518).

The profiles of chiral pesticides in peri-urban areas near Yangtze River: Enantioselective distribution characteristics and correlations with surface sediments

Chiral pesticides account for 30% of pesticides. Pesticides are inevitably leached into the groundwater by runoff. At the watershed level, the distribution characteristics of enantiomers in sediments collected from the river network of an agricultural area near the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River were tested, and their potential correlations with the physicochemical properties and microbial communities of the sediments were analyzed. The sediment pollution was serious at sites 8 and 9, with their pollution source possibly being agricultural or industrial sewage. Moreover, there were higher cumulative contents of pesticide residues at sites 4, 8, and 9. Specifically, Cycloxaprid was the most detected chiral pesticide in the study area, followed by Dinotefuran and Diclofop-methyl. Additionally,Ethiprole and Difenoconazole had strong enantioselectivity in the study area. Interestingly,the enantiomers of some chiral pesticides, such as Tebuconazole, had completely different distributions at different sites. Pearson correlation analysis showed that sediment catalase and microbial biomass carbon were important factors for enantioselectivity of chiral pesticides. The effect of sediment physicochemical properties on enantioselective distribution was achieved by influencing the microorganisms in the sediment. Furthermore, the enantioselective distribution of Tebuconazole was closely related to the genus ***, the enantioselective distribution of most of the chiral pesticides was positively correlated with the prokaryotic microbial community. This study provides empirical support for agricultural non-point source pollution caused by chiral pesticides, and also lays a research foundation for exploring the factors that affect the fate of chiral pesticides in the environment.

Effective removal of emerging contaminants(ECs)to minimize their impacts on human health and the natural environment is a global *** the removal of ECs in water,we fabricated a seaweed spherical microsphere catalyst with Cu cation-πstructures by in situ doping of Cu species and ascorbic acid in mesoporous silica(Cu-C-MSNs)via a hydrothermal *** results indicate that bisphenol A(BPA)is substantially degraded within 5 min under natural conditions,with its biological toxicity considerably ***,industrial wastewater could also be effectively purified by Cu-C-MSNs/H_(2)O_(2) *** presence of metal sites and the complexation of ECs via cation-πinteraction andπ-πstacking on the catalyst surface were directly responsible for the polarization distribution of electrons,thus activating H_(2)O_(2) and dissolved oxygen(DO).The removal of contaminants could be attributed primarily to 1)the activation of H_(2)O_(2) into ^(·)OH to attack the contaminants and 2)self-cleavage because of the transfer of electrons from the contaminants to the *** study provides an innovative solution for the effective treatment of ECs and has positive implications for easing global environmental crises.

Sparse felsic microgranitoid enclaves(FMEs)in the Shangshuiquan granite of the Zhangjiakou district,the north margin of the North China Craton,are fine-grained,dark-colored and exhibit subangular to subspherical *** share similar mineral assemblages,chemical compositions,and zircon Hf isotope compositions to the host *** zircon U-Pb geochronology reveals that the FMEs crystallized at 156-153 Ma,while the Shangshuiquan granite formed at ca.146 *** FEMs are,therefore,10 to 7 Ma older than the host *** with petrological evidence,we suggest that the FMEs are fragments of rapidly crystalized magmas,which were captured by the younger Shangshuiquan *** of the FMEs and Shangshuiquan granite originated from the same *** Shangshuiquan granite is the result of small batches of magma being built up incrementally,and the FMEs belong to the earlier batches of *** lifespan of the Shangshuiquan magma reservoir exceeds 10 *** derived from cogenetic fragments have the potential to offer critical information about the formation process and timescale of granitic plutons.
