This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in continuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-concrete composite slabs caused by concrete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was conducted on continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs,and a calculation method based on the conjugate beam method was *** composite slabs were formed by combining GFRP profiles with a concrete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span continuous composite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud connection,were used to connect the composite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen connected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:concrete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** contrast,the composite slab connected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the concrete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFRP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced compressive failure of concrete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs.

Surface topography is an important factor in evaluating the surface integrity and service performance of milling *** dynamic characteristics of the manufacturing system and machining process parameters significantly influence the machining precision and surface quality of the parts,and the vibration control method is applied in high-precision milling to improve the machine *** this study,a novel surface topography model based on the dynamic characteristics of the process system,properties of the cutting process,and active vibration control system is theoretically developed and experimentally *** dynamic characteristics of the process system consist of the vibration of the machine tool and piezoelectric ceramic clamping *** dynamic path trajectory influenced by the processing parameters and workpiece-tool parameters belongs to the property of the cutting process,while different algorithms of active vibration control are considered as controller *** milling surface topography can be predicted by considering all these factors.A series of experiments were conducted to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the prediction model,and the results showed a good correlation between the theoretical analysis and the actual milled surfaces.

Effects of Sub-zero Celsius Treatment and Tempering on the Stability of Retained Austenite in Bearing Steel

In this work, the influence of sub-zero Celsius treatment and tempering on the mechanical and thermal stability of retained austenite in beating steel were assessed by tensile test and DSC. Compared with traditional quenched and tempered treatment, sub-zero Celsius treatment obviously decreases the volume fraction of retained austenite. Moreover, the mechanical stability of retained austenite was enhanced due to the accumulation of compressive stresses in retained austenite after sub-zero Celsius treatment and tempering. Meanwhile, the morphology of retained austenite changed from film-like to blocky with austenitization temperature increasing, and the mechanical stability of film-like retained austenite is higher than that of blocky one. The DSC results showed that the activation energy of retained austenite decomposition slightly increased through sub-zero Celsius treatment and tempering. This result may probably be ascribed to partitioning of carbon during tempering. However, the temperature at which retained austenite starts to decompose is unchanged.

Influence of Annealing on Properties of ZnO Films Grown via Plasma-enhanced MOCVD

The structural and the optical properties of ZnO films with high quality grown via plasma-enhanced metal\|organic chemical vapour deposition(MOCVD) on C-plane sapphire substrate were studied. The crystallinity and the optical properties of the films are greatly improved having been annealed in oxygen plasma atmosphere. The structure, the band gap and the binding energy of O 1s electrons, and the molar ratio of O to Zn were determined by X-ray diffraction(XRD), photoluminescence(PL) and X-ray photoelectron scan methods. For both the annealed and the as-grown films, the exciton peak features were observed at room temperature. The band-edge photoluminescence of the annealed film is much stronger than that of the as-grown film, and the exciton peak relating to the deep level at 439 nm disappears. The molar ratio of O to Zn in the annealed film is 0 91, while it is 0 78 for the as-grown film.

La_((1-x))Mg_xNi_(4.25)Al_(0.75)(x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3)alloys for tritium storage were prepared by a method of electromagnetic induction melting. The crystal structure and hydrogen storage performance of the as-cast alloys were investigated. The results showed that a single phase of La Ni_4Al was in the alloys with x = 0.0 and 0.1 and that LaNi_4Al and second phase of(La,Mg)Ni)_3 and AlNi_3 were in the alloys with x = 0.2 and 0.3. On the other hand, the plateau pressures of P–C isotherms of the alloys were increased with the rise of the x value from 0.2 to 0.3 and the hydrogen storage capacity was obviously degraded simultaneously. It was found that the alloy had faster absorption kinetics as the proportion of Mg increased from 0.1 to 0.3.

The widespread interest in layered P2-type Mn-based cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)stems from their cost-effectiveness and abundant ***,the inferior cycle stability and mediocre rate performance impede their further development in practical ***,we devised a wet chemical precipitation method to deposit an amorphous aluminum phosphate(AlPO_(4),denoted as AP)protective layer onto the surface of P2-type Na_(0.55)Ni_(0.1)Co_(0.7)Mn_(0.8)O_(2)(NCM@AP).The resulting NCM@5AP electrode,with a 5 wt%coating,exhibits extended cycle life(capacity retention of78.4%after 200 cycles at 100 mA g^(-1))and superior rate performance(98 mA h g^(-1)at 500 mA g^(-1))compared to pristine ***,our investigation provides comprehensive insights into the phase stability and active Na^(+)ion kinetics in the NCM@5AP composite electrode,shedding light on the underlying mechanisms responsible for the enhanced performance observed in the coated electrode.

Side-chain engineering plays a significant role in the design of conjugated materials. In this work, a series of conjugated polymers PBDB-T-R with functionalized groups at the end of side units were developed as electron donor for organic solar cells(OSCs). The donor polymers PBDB-T-I and PBDB-T-OAc with iodine and acetate end groups exhibited similar absorption and energy levels, but showed much improved PCEs in OSCs compared to the polymer PBDB-T-H without substitutions at the end groups. Additionally, we found that PBDB-T-I and PBDB-T-OAc based cells exhibited optimized performance when using chloroform as solution-processed solvent without any additives. These results indicate that these conjugated polymers can act as self-additive to fabricate photoactive layers via solution process in OSCs.

The tropical Asian and Australasian floras have a close relationship,and is a vital distribution pattern of seed plants *** estimated,more than 81 families and 225 genera of seed plants distributed between tropical Asia and ***,the evolutionary dynamics of two floras were still ***,a total of 29 plant lineages,represented the main clades of seed plants and different habits,were selected to investigate the biotic interchange between tropical Asia and Australasia by integrated dated phylogenies,biogeography,and ancestral state *** statistics indicated that 68 migrations have occurred between tropical Asia and Australasia since the middle Eocene except terminal migrations,and the migration events from tropical Asia to Australasia is more than 2 times of the *** 12 migrations occurred before 15 Ma,whereas the remaining56 migrations occurred after 15 *** number of potential dispersal events(MDE) analysis also shows obvious asymmetry,with southward migration as the main feature,and indicates the climax of bi-directional migrations occurred after 15 *** speculate that the formation of island chains after the Australian-Sundaland collision and climate changes have driven seed plant migrations since the middle ***,biotic dispersal and stable habitat may be crucial for floristic interchange between tropical Asia and Australasia.

The topological Hall effect(THE) as a powerful probe for the experimental observation of topological spin textures, such as magnetic skyrmions, has been observed in a wide variety of distinct material systems. However, limited experimental observations have been reported for antiferromagnetic(AFM) materials. Here, the THE signals in the AFM state were observed in compensated ferrimagnetic thin films interfaced with heavy metals at the magnetization compensation temperature(TM).Ferrimagnetic CoTb thin films grown on Pt thin films were used in the experiments. The Co Tb films exhibited a magnetization compensation point at which the moments of Co and Tb sublattices canceled each other, giving rise to the AFM state. The temperature(T)-dependent Hall measurements showed anomalous Hall effect(AHE) and THE responses at T≠T_(M) but pure THE responses at T=T_(M). Control measurements and analyses suggest that the THE responses are associated with interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction(DMI) rather than the overlapping of different AHE signals in the structure. This work presents the first-ever observation of interfacial DMI-induced THE in AFM metal trilayered systems and demonstrates a new approach for electrical reading of chiral spin textures in AFM thin film-based heterostructures.
