The lattice strain is considered critical for determining the catalytic activity of metal catalysts such as Pt. However, the dynamic manipulation of Pt lattice strain under reaction conditions to directly examine its catalytic effect has not been achieved. In this study, we realized the reversible manipulation of Pt electrocatalytic properties under electrochemical conditions by tuning the Pt lattice strain with the temperature-controlled Martensite-Austenite phase transition of the shape memory NiTi alloy *** enabled establishing a straightforward relationship between the strain-induced electronic structure transformation and electrocatalytic activity leaping. The binding strength between Pt and surface oxygen species was confirmed as the critical factor that dominated the hydrogen evolution and the oxygen reduction activities. In contrast, the oxygen evolution activity was barely affected by NiTi substrate phase transition.

Background:Aberrant expression of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) has been linked to a variety of diseases, including hematological disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and multiple types of cancer. Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein C (HNRNPC), a member belonging to the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) family, plays a pivotal role in nucleic acid metabolism. Previous studies have underscored the significance of HNRNPC in tumorigenesis; however, its specific role in malignant tumor progression remains inadequately characterized.Methods:We leveraged publicly available databases, including The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), to explore the potential involvement of HNRNPC across various cancers. Additionally, we performed experimental validation studies focused on liver cancer.Results:Our analysis revealed that HNRNPC is overexpressed in a wide range of common malignancies, including liver and lung cancers, and is strongly linked to unfavorable outcomes. Furthermore, HNRNPC was observed to be closely linked to tumor immunity. Through immune checkpoint analysis and immune cell infiltration assessment, HNRNPC emerged as a potential target for modulating tumor immunotherapy. Notably, silencing of HNRNPC markedly inhibited the proliferation, metastasis, and infiltration of liver cancer cells.Conclusion:In summary, our findings highlight HNRNPC as a prognostic marker in various cancers, including liver cancer, and suggest its involvement in shaping the tumor immune microenvironment. These insights offer potential avenues for improving clinical outcomes in tumors with elevated HNRNPC expression, particularly through immunotherapeutic strategies.

Influence of Incomplete Soil Plugs on Bearing Capacities of Bucket Foundations in Clay

Due to the uneven seabed and heaving of soil during pumping,incomplete soil plugs may occur during the installation of bucket foundations,and the impacts on the bearing capacities of bucket foundations need to be *** this paper,the contact ratio(the ratio of the top diameter of the soil plug to the diameter of the bucket)and the soil plug ratio(the ratio of the soil heave height to the skirt height)are defined to describe the shape and size of the incomplete soil ***,finite element models are established to investigate the bearing capacities of bucket foundations with incomplete soil plugs and the influences of the contact ratios,and the soil plug ratios on the bearing capacities are *** results show that the vertical bearing capacity of bucket foundations in homogeneous soil continuously improves with the increase of the contact ***,in normally consolidated soil,the vertical bearing capacity barely changes when the contact ratio is smaller than 0.75,while the bearing capacity suddenly increases when the contact ratio increases to 1 due to the change of failure *** contact ratio hardly affects the horizontal bearing capacity of bucket ***,the moment bearing capacity improves with the increase of the contact ratio for small aspect ratios,but hardly varies with increasing contact ratio for aspect ratios larger than ***,the reduction coefficient method is proposed based on this analysis to calculate the bearing capacities of bucket foundations considering the influence of incomplete soil *** comparison results show that the proposed reduction coefficient method can be used to evaluate the influences of incomplete soil plug on the bearing capacities of bucket foundations.

基于KNN-SVM的混合气体检测方法研究

当今混合气体检测的研究中,针对多组分气体数据进行分类预测的数学算法百花齐放,如何快速且准确的检测出气体的成分和浓度逐渐成为当今研究的热门。然而在一些研究中,气体数据特征难以捕捉和判断,泛化能力不足,对气体数据进行分类预测的精度和效率表现较差。为此,针对一些数据偏差和泛化误差无界的问题,提出了一种K最近邻-支持向量机(KNN-SVM)算法,对一些难以作出分类的模糊气体数据进行二次分类,采用KNN和SVM两种算法共同抉择,更加全面的捕捉数据特征,根据实验确定各自算法的权重比从而提高判别气体类别的准确率,两种算法的集成也能提高算法的效率,对于不同种类的气体也能有良好的适应性的稳定性。该实验气体组分由12 mg·L^(-1)的C_(2)H_(2)、NO_(2)、SF_(6),10 mg·L^(-1)的NO_(2)、SF_(6)和5 mg·L^(-1)的C_(2)H_(2)(背景气体皆为N_(2))以及两瓶纯N_(2)的气瓶组成;通过互相混合和与N_(2)配比制备出实验设定的气体浓度。实验过程通过单一气体的检测可分别对三种气体获得60组训练集,并通过这60组数据可进行线性拟合得到每种气体的拟合线,得到气体浓度与气体吸收峰值的关系,通过实验检测得到的三种气体拟合线,其中C_(2)H_(2)拟合线的调整后R^(2)为0.991,NO_(2)拟合线的调整后R^(2)为0.981,SF_(6)拟合线的调整后R^(2)为0.987,可得气体检测的准确性。再通过互相混合进行检测可分别获得40组训练集,采用KNN-SVM算法对混合气体进行分类和预测,后通过拟合线即可反演出混合气体中每种气体的浓度。将该算法与传统SVM算法进行各种分类指标对比均可显示出该算法的有效性和优越性。实验结果表明,KNN-SVM算法在气体分类预测方面表现出卓越的性能,准确率高达99.167%,AUC(area under curve)值达99.375%。这一算法不仅提高了气体检测的准确性,还增强了泛化能力可适应多样化的气体组分,为实时气体检测系统提供了有力支持。

Deep-seated large-scale toppling failure presents unique challenges in the study of natural slope deformation process in mountainous *** active deep-seated toppling process was identified in the Erguxi slope located in southwest China,which affected a large area and damaged critical transportation infrastructure with the volume of the deforming rock mass exceeding 24×10~6 m^*** poses significant risks to the downstream Shiziping Hydropower Station by damming the Zagunao *** investigation and monitoring results indicate that the deformation of the Erguxi slope is in the advanced stage of deep-seated toppling process,with the formation of a disturbed belt but no identifiable master failure *** was postulated that the alternating tensile and shear strength associated with the hard/soft laminated rock strata of metasandstone and phyllite layers preclude the development of either a tensile or shear failure surface,which resulted in the continuous deformation and displacement without a catastrophic mass *** slope movement is in close association with the unfavorable geological conditions of the study area in addition to the construction of transportation infrastructure and the increase of the reservoir *** the basis of the mechanism and intensity of the ongoing toppling deformation,a qualitative grading system was proposed to describe the toppling process and toevaluate the slope *** paper summarized the field observation and monitoring data on the toppling deformation for better characterizing its effect on the stability of the Erguxi *** qualitative grading system intends to provide a basis for quantitative study of large-scale deep-seated toppling process in metamorphic rocks.

In this work, we have synthesized two polymer-grafted cation exchangers: one via the grafting-from approach, in which sulfopropyl methacrylate (SPM) is grafted through atom transfer radical polymerization onto Sepharose FF (the thus resulting exchanger is referred as Sep-g-SPM), and another via the grafting-to approach, in which the polymer of SPM is directly coupled onto Sepharose FF (the thus resulting exchanger is called as Sep-pSPM). Protein adsorption on these two cation exchangers have been also investigated. At the same ligand density, Sep-g-SPM has a larger accessible pore radius and a smaller depth of polymer layer than Sep-pSPM, due to the controllable introduction of polymer chains with the regular distribution of the ligand. Therefore, high-capacity adsorption of lysozyme and γ-globulin could be achieved simultaneously in Sep-g-SPM with an ionic capacity (IC) of 308 mmol·L^-1. However, Sep-pSPM has an irregular chain distribution and different architecture of polymer layer, which lead to more serious repulsive interaction to proteins, and thus Sep-pSPM has a lower adsorption capacity for γ-globulin than Sep-g-SPM with the similar IC. Moreover, the results from protein uptake experiments indicate that the facilitated transport of adsorbed γ-globulin occurs only in Sep-pSPM and depends on the architecture of polymer layers. Our research provides a clear clue for the development of high-performance protein chromatography.

Numerical modeling investigation on turbulent oscillatory flow over a plane rough bed composed by randomly arrayed particles

A three-dimensional numerical model is established to simulate the turbulent oscillatory boundary layer over a fixed and rough bed composed by randomly arrayed solid spheres based on the lattice Boltzmann method and the large eddy simulation *** equivalent roughness height,the location of the theoretical bed and the time variation of the friction velocity are investigated using the log-fit *** time series of turbulent intensity and Reynolds stress are also *** equivalent roughness height of cases with Reynolds numbers of 1×10^4–6×10^4 is approximately 2.81 d（grain size）.The time variation of the friction velocity in an oscillatory cycle exhibits sinusoidal-like *** friction factor depends on the relative roughness in the rough turbulent regime,and the pattern of solid particles arrayed as the rough bed in the numerical simulations has no obvious effect on the friction factor.
