Stabilization of hexavalent chromium with pretreatment and high temperature sintering in highly contaminated soil

This study explored the effectiveness and mechanisms of high temperature sintering following prereduction with ferric sulfate(FeSO_(4)),sodium sulfide(Na_(2)S),or citric acid(C_(6)H_(8)O_(7))in stabilizing hexavalent chromium(Cr(VI))in highly contaminated *** soil samples had an initial total Cr leaching of 1768.83 mg/L,and Cr(VI)leaching of 1745.13 mg/*** FeSO_(4)or C_(6)H_(8)O_(7)reduction was followed by sintering at 1000℃,the Cr leaching was reduced enough to meet the Safety Landfill Standards regarding general industrial solid *** combined treatment greatly improved the stabilization efficiency of chromium because the reduction of Cr(VI)into Cr(III)decreased the mobility of chromium and made it more easily encapsulated in minerals during ***,XRD,TG-DSC,and speciation analysis indicated that when the sintering temperature reached 1000℃,almost all the chromium in soils that had the pre-reduction treatment was transformed into the residual *** 1000℃,the soil melted and promoted the mineralization of Cr and the formation of new Cr-containing compounds,which significantly decreased subsequent leaching of chromium from the ***,without reduction treatment,chromium continued to leach from the soil even after being sintered at 1000℃,possibly because the soil did not fully fuse and because Cr(VI)does not bind with soil as easily as Cr(III).

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S cm-1and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,exhibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS cm-1and low areal resistance of 1.17Ω***,iodine doping could in-situ form LiI at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6from 0.8 to 1.35 mA *** resultant LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2/Li battery shows excellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g-1and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g-1and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.

Design and Analysis of a 0.01-to-6GHz 31dBm-P1dB 31.5%-PAE Distributed Power Amplifier in 0.25-μm GaAs Technology

This paper presents the design and analysis of a distributed power amplifier with 6-d B bandwidth from 10 MHz to 6 GHz. To meet the stringent targeted specification, the concurrent design and analysis are carefully performed with optimizations in both passive and active devices. The gate capacitive division technique is proposed and proven theoretically of bandwidth extension effect and power efficiency enhancement. To validate the theory, a prototype is designed in a 0.25-μm Ga As technology. The fabricated amplifier chip is packaged in an evaluation cavity of SMA connectors. The measurement shows an average power gain of 15 d B, OP1 d Band PSAT of 31 d Bm and 32.6 d Bm at 3 GHz, and PAE at OP1 d Band PSAT points are 31.5% and 43.7% respectively. To the best of authors’ knowledge, the amplifier achieves the highest Power-added efficiency(PAE) among the similar Ga As amplifiers.

Influence of Tip Clearance on Unsteady Flow in Automobile Engine Pump

Responses of CH_4 Emissions to Nitrogen Addition and Spartina alterniflora Invasion in Minjiang River Estuary, Southeast of China

The nitrogen （N） input and Spartina alterniflora invasion in the tidal marsh of the southeast of China are increasingly serious. To evaluate CH4 emissions in the tidal marsh as affected by the N inputs and S. alterniflora invasion, we measured CH4 emissions from plots with vegetated S. alterniflora and native Cyperus malaccensis, and fertilized with exogenous N at the rate of 0 （NO）, 21 （N1） and 42 （N2） g N/（***）, respectively, in the Shanyutan marsh in the Minjiang River estuary, the southeast of China. The average CH4 fluxes during the experiment in the C. malaccensis and S. alterniflora plots without N addition were 3.67 mg CHa/（m2.h） and 7.79 mg CH4/（m2-h）, respectively, suggesting that the invasion of S. alterniflora into the Minjiang River estuary stimulated CH4 emission. Exogenous N had positive effects on CH4 fluxes both in native and in invaded tidal marsh. The mean CH4 fluxes of NI and N2 treat- ments increased by 31.05% and 123.50% in the C. malaccensis marsh, and 63.88% and 7.55% in the S. alterniflora marsh, respectively, compared to that of NO treatment. The CH4 fluxes in the two marshes were positively correlated with temperature and pH, and nega- tively correlated with electrical conductivity and redox potential （Eh） at different N addition treatments. While the relationships between CH4 fluxes and environmental variables （especially soil temperature, pH and Eh at different depths） tended to decrease with N additions. Significant temporal variability in CH4 fluxes were observed as the N was gradually added to the native and invaded marshes. In order to better assess the global climatic role of tidal marshes as affected by N addition, much more attention should be paid to the short-term temporal variability in CH4 emission.

Molecular simulation study of the microstructures and properties of pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]mixed with acetonitrile

The microstructures and thermodynamic properties of mixed systems comprising pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]and acetonitrile at different mole fractions were studied using molecular dynamics simulation in this *** following properties were determined:density,self-diffusion coefficient,excess molar volume,and radial distribution *** results show that with an increase in the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the self-diffusion coefficient ***,the excess molar volume initially decreases,reaches a minimum,and then *** rules of radial distribution functions(RDFs)of characteristic atoms are *** increasing the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the first peak of the RDFs of HA1-F decreases,while that of CT6-CT6 rises at first and then *** indicates that the solvent molecules affect the polar and non-polar regions of[HPy][BF_(4)]differently.
