This paper studied the thermal physical properties of foundation materials in the molten salt tank of thermal energy storage system after molten salt leakage by Transient plane source experiment and X-ray computed microtomography simulation *** microstructure,thermal properties and pressure resistance with different particle diameters were *** measured heat conductivities from Transient plane source experiment for three cases are 0.49 W/(m·K),0.48 W/(m·K),and 0.51 W/(m·K),and the porosity is 3..1%,3..7%,and 3..2% *** heat conductivity simulating results of three cases are 0.471 W/(m·K),0.482W/(m·K),and 0.513.W/(m·K).The ratio of difference between the results of simulation and Transient plane source measurement is as low as 1.2%,verifying the reliability of experimental and simulation results to a certain *** with the heat conductivity of 0.097-0.129 W/(m·K) and porosity of 71.6%-78.9% without leaking salt,the porosity is reduced by more than 50% while the heat conductivity increased by 4 to 5 times after molten salt *** significant increase in heat conductivity has a great impact on security operation,structure design,and modeling of the tank foundation for solar power plants.

Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions from the cement industry account for 26%of the total industrial emissions,and the need to develop low-carbon techniques within the cement industry is extremely ***-carbon projects and technologies for the cement industry in different regions and countries have been thoroughly reviewed in this manuscript,and the low-carbon development concept for each county has been *** developing countries such as china and India,energy saving and efficiency enhancement are currently the key points,while for developed countries and regions such as Europe,more efforts have been focused on carbon capture,uti{3.zation,and storage(CCUS).Global CCUS projects have been previously conducted,and the majority of CCUS projects are currently performed in Europe where major projects such as the CEMCAP,CLEANKER,and IEILAC projects represent the latest research progress in cement production technologies and low-carbon technologies for the global cement *** development of low-carbon cement technologies has changed from focusing on the end point to instead focusing on the source and process through the exploration of hydrogen and solar energies,and more disruptive and original technologies are expected to be developed,particularly in the cement industry in china.

The thermal evolution of the Earth’s interior and its dynamic effects are the focus of Earth ***,the commonly adopted grid-based temperature solver is usually prone to numerical oscillations,especially in the presence of sharp thermal gradients,such as when modeling subducting slabs and rising *** phenomenon prohibits the correct representation of thermal evolution and may cause incorrect implications of geodynamic *** examining several approaches for removing these numerical oscillations,we show that the Lagrangian method provides an ideal way to solve this *** this study,we propose a particle-in-cell method as a strategy for improving the solution to the {3. equation and demonstrate its effectiveness in both one-dimensional and three-dimensional thermal problems,as well as in a global spherical simulation with data *** have implemented this method in the open-source finite-element code CitcomS,which features a spherical coordinate system,distributed memory parallel computing,and data assimilation algorithms.

Selective oxidation of alkanes to produce highvalue chemicals is an essential strategy and means to realize efficient utilization of *** this work,a strategy of lanthanum manganese mixed metal oxides(LMMO)regulated via a facile ionic liquid(IL)-assisted hydrothermal method was proposed to construct the multifunctional catalysts,which exhibited excellent catalytic performance in the selective aerobic oxidation of *** 8.9%cyclohexane conversion with 90%KA oi(cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone)selectivity was achieved over the optimal LMMO catalyst under mild *** effects of anion type,carbon chain length and concentration of ILs on the structure and properties of catalysts were investigated through various characterizations,indicating the structure-directing and template effect of ILs on the multifunctional *** formation of self-assembled spherical nanoparticles followed the"dissolution-nucleation-proliferation"mechanism with the introduction of 1-butyl-3.methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate,ascribing the synergistic effect between the microenvironment of ILs and the hydrothermal ***,the high reactive oxygen concentration redox capacity,and suitable basic sites of LMMO catalysts mediated by ILs enhance the activation of C-H bonds and molecular oxygen,simultaneously influencing the adsorption and desorption of the substrate.A comprehensive understanding of the high KA oil selectivity and radical reaction mechanism was elucidated based on in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)and radical trapping *** recycling and regeneration experiments further illuminated that the removal of adsorbed cyclohexanone acting on the LMMO catalyst was the key to achieve high KA oil selectivity.

The rise in breast cancer diagnoses among chinese women has necessitated the use of X-ray breast screening,which carries a radiation *** study aimed to provide a dosimetry protocol for the chinese female population to replace the traditional standard that utilizes simplified breast models,for the accurate estimation of the mean glandular dose of a patient undergoing digital breast tomosynthesis(DBT).The first set of detailed chinese female breast models and representative breast parameters was *** backscatter radiation and computational efficiency,we improved the combination of these models and the chinese reference adult female whole-body voxel *** acquisition for four commercial DBT systems that are widely employed in china was simulated using the Monte Carlo method to obtain the normalized glandular dose coefficients of DBT(D_(gN)^(DBT))and the glandular depth dose(D_(g)^(dep)(z))for different breast characteristics and X-ray *** calculated a series of D_(gN)^(DBT) values for breasts with different percentage mass glandularities(5%,25%,50%,75%,and 100%)and compressed breast thicknesses(2,3.4,5,6,and 7 cm)at various tube potentials(25,28,3.,3.,3.,and 49 kV)and target/filter combinations(W/Rh,W/Al,Mo/Mo,Rh/Rh,and Rh/Ag).The parameter dependence of the breast characteristics and beam conditions on D_(gN)^(DBT) in detailed breast models was *** D_(gN)^(DBT) results were 14.6-51.0%lower than those of the traditional dosimetry standard in *** difference in D_(gN)^(DBT) was mainly due to a decrease in the depth of the main energy deposition area caused by the glandular distribution along the depth *** results obtained in this study may be used to improve breast dosimetry in china and provide more detailed information on risk assessment during DBT.

To minimize instrumentally the induced systematic errors,cosmic microwave background(CMB)anisotropy experiments measure temperature differences across the sky using pairs of horn antennas, temperature map is recovered from temperature difference obtained in sky survey through a map-making *** inspect and calibrate residual systematic errors in the recovered temperature maps is important as most previous studies of cosmology are based on these *** analyzing pixel-ring coupling and latitude dependence of CMB temperatures,we find notable systematic devia- tion from CMB Gaussianity in released Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe(WMAP)*** detected deviation cannot be explained by the best-fit LCDM cosmological model at a confidence level above 99%and cannot be ignored for a precision cosmology study.

Boosting the interfacial stability between electrolyte and li-rich cathode material at high operating voltage is vital important to enhance the cycling stability of li-rich cathode materials for high-performance li-ion *** this work,vinyltrimethylsilane as a new type of organic silicon electrolyte additive is studied to address the interfacial instability of li-rich cathode material at high operating *** cells using vinyltrimethylsilane additive shows the high capacity retention of 73.9%after 3.0 cycles at 1 C,whereas the cells without this kind of additive only have the capacity retention of 58.9%.The improvement of stability is mainly attributed to the additive helping to form a more stable surface film for li-rich cathode material,thus avoiding direct contact between the electrolyte and the cathode material,slowing down the dissolution of metal ions and the decomposition of the electrolyte under high operating *** findings in this work shed some light on the design of stable cycling performance of li-rich cathode toward advanced li-ion batteries.

A digitalized temperature map is recovered from the first light sky survey image published by the Planck team, from which an angular power spectrum of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) is derived. The amplitudes of the low multipoles (low-l) measured from the preliminary Planck power spectrum are significantly lower than those reported by the WMAP team. Possible systematical effects are far from enough to explain the observed low-l differences.

Transparent photoresists with a high refractive index(RI)and high transmittance in visible wavelengths have promising functionalities in optical *** work reports a kind of tunable optical material composed of titanium dioxide nano{3.s embedded in acrylic resin with a high RI for ultraviolet(UV)-imprint *** hybrid film exhibits a tunable RI of up to 1.67(589 nm)after being cured by UV light,while maintaining both a high transparency of over 98%in the visible light range and a low haze of less than 0.05%.The precision machining of optical microstructures can be imprinted easily and efficiently using the hybrid resin,which acts as a light guide plate(LGP)to guide the light from the side to the top in order to conserve the energy of the display *** preliminary studies based on both {13. and commercial experiments pave the way for exploiting the unparalleled optical properties of nanocomposite resins and promoting their industrial application.
