Partial channel information feedback mechanism for FFR-based multi-channel systems

This article puts forward a partial channel state information （CSI） feedback scheme for fractional frequency reuse （FFR）-based orthogonal frequency division multiple access （OFDMA） systems. Efficient CSI feedback strategy plays an important role in opportunistic scheduling because base station （BS） can employ adaptive modulation and coding （AMC） technique to adaptively change transmission rates according to CSI feedback, and therefore the spectrum efficiency can be improved significantly. On the other hand, FFR is a simple but effective technique to improve the throughput of users at cell edge. To exploit opportunistic scheduling in FFR-based OFDMA systems, both users and spectrum are divided into multiple groups in this article, and specific feedback pattern is designed for each user group on each spectrum sub-band. Simulations results prove that the proposed algorithm can reduce the feedback load significantly, while maintain nearly the same performance as the system with full feedback.

Chansu has demonstrated adverse reactions in clinical settings,which is associated with its toxicity and limits its clinical *** there are methodological limitations for drug safety *** the current study,ultra-high performance liquid chromatography,lipidomic profiling,and molecular docking were used to systemically assess Chansu-induced acute inflammatory irritation and further identify the underlying drug *** with the EtOAc extract,Chansu water fraction containing indolealkylamines caused acute inflammatory irritation in rats,including acute pain(spontaneous raising foot reaction),and inflammation(paw edema).At the molecular level,lipids analysis revealed significantly higher levels of pro-inflammatory mediators of the COX and LOX ***,anti-inflammatory mediators from the CYP 450,ALA,and DHA pathways markedly decreased after exposure to Chansu water ***,four indolealkylamines from Chansu showed a high theoretical affinity to a known irritation target,5-HT_(2A)*** results suggest that Chansu-induced inflammatory irritation is related to the distinct dysregulation of inflammatory lipids,and peripheral 5-HT_(2A)R is a potential target for irritation *** strategy used in this study can be a crucial approach in the safety evaluation of natural medicinal substances.

Straw return has been strongly recommended in China,whereas applying biochar into soil is considered to provide more benefits for agriculture as well as the *** this study,a five-year(2011-2015) field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of uncharred maize straw amendment(MS) and charred maize straw amendment(charred MS) on organic carbon(C) contents in bulk soil and in various soil aggregate-size and density *** to no amendment(CK),the bulk soil organic C content significantly improved by 9.30% for MS and by 23.4% for charred *** and charred maize straw applied annually at a consistent equal-C dosage resulted in 19.7 and 58.2% organic C sequestration efficiency in soil,respectively,after the five years of the field *** percentages of macroaggregates(>0.25 mm) and occluded microaggregates(0.25-0.053 mm) obviously increased by 7.73 and 18.1% for MS and by 10.7 and 19.6% for charred MS,***,significant incremental increases of 19.4 and 35.0% in macroaggregate-associated organic C occurred in MS and charred MS,*** occluded microaggregates associated organic C significantly increased by 21.7% for MS and 25.1% for charred ***-associated organic C(<0.053 mm) inside the macroaggregates and the occluded microaggregates obviously improved by 24.7 and 33.3% for MS and by 18.4 and 44.9% for charred *** C associated with coarse particulate organic matter(POM) within the macroaggregates markedly increased by 65.1 and 41.2% for MS and charred MS,*** MS resulted in a noteworthy increment of 50.4% for organic C associated with heavy POM inside the occluded microaggregates,whereas charred MS and MS observably improved organic C associated with heavy POM inside the free microaggregates by 36.3 and 20.0%,*** results demonstrate that uncharred and charred maize straw amendments improve C sequestration by physically protecting more organic C in the macroa

We have conducted a large-field simultaneous survey of 12 CO,13 CO and C18O J=1-0 emission toward the Orion A giant molecular cloud(GMC)with a sky coverage of4.4 deg2 using the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO)-13.7 m millimeter-wavelength *** use the probability distribution function of the column density(N-PDF)to investigate the distribution of molecular hydrogen in the Orion A *** H2 column density,derived from the 13CO emission,of the GMC is dominated by a log-normal distribution in the range from4×1021 to1.5×1023 cm-2 with excesses both at the low-density and high-density *** excess of the low-density end is possibly caused by an extended and low-temperature(10 K)component with velocities in the range of 5-8 km *** with the northern sub-regions,the southern sub-regions of the Orion A GMC contain less gas with column density in NH2>1.25×1022 *** dispersions of the N-PDFs of the sub-regions are found to correlate with the evolutionary stages of the clouds across the Orion A *** structure hierarchy of Orion A GMC is explored with the DENDROGRAM algorithm,and it is found that the GMC is composed of two *** structures except one in the tree have virial parameters less than 2,indicating self-gravity is important on the spatial scales from0.3 to4 *** power-laws and departures from lognormal distributions are found at the high-density end of N-PDFs for active star-forming regions,the N-PDFs of structures in the Orion A GMC are predominantly lognormal on scales from R0.4 to 4 pc.

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)possesses the largest areas of permafrost in the midand low latitude regions on the earth and many large lakes in the permafrost *** on a comprehensive investigation around certain typical lakes,this study found that although the presence of lakes formed different ranges of unfrozen zones in permafrost,the heating effect of lake water on surrounding permafrost is limited to a small *** temperature of permafrost around the lake is closely related to the distance to the lake and the ice content of the *** lakes are ice-rich permafrost zones and permafrost temperature in this area is significantly lower than that far away from the lake,which indicates that the existence of lakes in the QTP has special effect on the permafrost *** on the monitoring results,this study presents the typical distribution pattern of the permafrost around large lakes and discusses the reasons for the distribution *** to the huge area of lakes and the significant impact of lakes on permafrost distribution,it is suggested to re-estimate the total permafrost area and underground ice storage in the QTP.

Effect of nickel segregation on CuΣ9 grain boundary undergone shear deformations

Impurity segregation at grain boundary（GB） can significantly affect the mechanical behaviors of polycrystalline metal. The effect of nickel impurity segregated at Cu GB on the deformation mechanism relating to loading direction is comprehensively studied by atomic simulation. The atomic structures and shear responses of Cu Σ9（114） 110 and Σ9（221） 110 symmetrical tilt grain boundary with different quantities of nickel segregation are analyzed. The results show that multiple accommodative evolutions involving GB gliding, GB shear-coupling migration, and dislocation gliding can be at play, where for the 2ˉ21ˉ shear of Σ9（114） 110 the segregated GBs tend to maintain their initial configurations and a segregated GB with a higher impurity concentration is more inclined to be a dislocation emission source while maintaining the high mechanical strength undergone plastic deformation for the 11ˉ4ˉ shear of Σ9（221） 110. It is found that the nickel segregated GB exerts a cohesion enhancement effect on Cu under deformation： strong nickel segregation increases the work of separation of GB, which is proved by the first-principles calculations.

Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3（STAT3） is a dual functional transcription factor with the functions of signal transduction and transcription regulation. It is reported that the expression of STAT3 in ovarian cancer is significantly higher and STAT3 can facilitate ovarian cancer growth and metastasis. To clarify the definite effect and molecular mechanism of STAT3 involved in ovarian cancer growth and metastasis, STAT3 expression was significantly downregulated by transfecting ovarian cancer model SK-OV-3 cells with the plasmid vector which express specific RNAi that targets human STAT3. The downregulated STAT3 not only decreased the invasion and migration but also inhibited the proliferation of SK-OV-3 cells. Western blot assay shows that the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor（VEGF） and that of Survivin were reduced in the cells with the plasma vector expressing specific RNAi that targets human STAT3. These results demonstrate that STAT3 involved in the invasion and migration of SK-OV-3 regulates the expression of VEGF and Survivin. In addition, VEGF and Survivin could play an important role in ovarian cancer growth and metastasis.
