Dear Editor,This letter addresses the challenge of forecasting the motion of real-world vessels over an extended period with a limited amount of available *** employing stochastic differential equation(SDE)modeling,we integrate both deterministic and stochastic components of the available ***,we establish a recursive prediction methodology based on Bayes’rule to update the model state when new measurements are ***,we develop a stochastic model tailored specifically to vessel dynamics and introduce an approximation method to tackle computational ***,we present an application example and conduct a comparative experiment to validate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

Recently, 3D bioprinting is developed as an emerging approach, increasingly applied to materials for healthcare;while, the precise placement of cells and materials, and the shape fidelity of forming constructs is of great importance for successful application of 3D bioprinting. Research efforts have been made to develop new bioinks as "raw materials" with better biocompatibility and biofunctionality, but the printability of bioinks is largely ignored and still needs to be carefully examined to enable robotic bioprinting. This article aims to introduce a recent published review (Appl. Phys. Rev. 2018, 5, 041304) on the evaluation of bioink printability by Huang's research group from University of Florida. Huang et al. comprehensively reviewed the bioink printability based on the physical point of view during inkjet printing, laser printing, and microextrusion, and a series of self-consistent time scales and dimensi on less quantities were utilized to physically understand and evaluate bioink printability. This article would be helpful to know the trends on physical understanding of bioink printability.

Herein,we report a comparative investigation of the electrochemical lithium diffusion within graphidyne(GDY)based *** transfer kinetic behaviors of lithium ions during the insertion/extraction process are analyzed through different methods including the galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)and the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).GDY with the morphology of nanosheets(GDY NS)shows lithium diffusion coefficients in the orders range of 10^(−12)-10^(−13) cm^(2)/s through the GITT ***,EIS indicates quite a lower value of lithium diffusion coefficients between 10^(−13) and 10^(−15) cm^(2)/s,which indicates that the analysis technique has an influence on the evaluation of GDY-based *** addition,under the same measurement condition of GITT,GDY nanoparticles(GDY NP)exhibit a lower value of Li+diffusion coefficient(10^(−14)-10^(−16) cm^(2)/s)during the charge-discharge process compared to those of GDY NS,which can be ascribed to the wide distributing range of particle size in GDY NP based *** analysis results in this work reveal that the aggregating forms of GDY electrode material have an important effect on the diffusion process of lithium ions,which provides a pathway to optimize the performance of GDY-based energy storage devices.

Identification of the sensitive area for targeted observation to improve vertical thermal structure prediction in summer in the Yellow Sea

The sensitive area of targeted observations for short-term(7 d)prediction of vertical thermal structure(VTS)in summer in the Yellow Sea was *** applied the Conditional Nonlinear Optimal Perturbation(CNOP)method and an adjoint-free algorithm with the Regional Ocean Modeling System(ROMS).We used vertical integration of CNOP-type temperature errors to locate the sensitive areas,where reduction of initial errors is expected to yield the greatest improvement in VTS prediction for the selected verification *** identified sensitive areas were northeast−southwest orientated northeast to the verification area,which were possibly related to the southwestward background ***,we performed a series of sensitivity experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of the identified sensitive *** show that initial errors in the identified sensitive areas had the greatest negative effect on VTS prediction in the verification area compared to errors in other areas(e.g.,the verification area and areas to its east and northeast).Moreover,removal of initial errors through deploying simulated observations in the identified sensitive areas led to more refined prediction than correction of initial conditions in the verification area *** results suggest that implementation of targeted observation in the CNOP-based sensitive areas is an effective method to improve short-term prediction of VTS in summer in the Yellow Sea.

Chemotherapy remains one of the most prevailing strategies for cancer ***,its treatment effect is hampered by drug resistance,nonspecific tumor targeting,and severe toxic side *** chemotherapy with synergistic effect has become an attractive tumor therapy.N6-methyladenosine(m6A)regulators determine the fate of m6A-modified transcripts and play vital roles in cancer development and drug *** therapy such as small interfering RNA(siRNA)is a promising strategy to reduce the abnormal gene expression of m6A ***,its poor selectivity and high systemic toxicity necessitate the use of delivery vectors to target specific cells and ***,we constructed a dual-functional targeted nanodrug platform for the synergetic m6A-associated epigenetic regulation and chemotherapy of ovarian *** encapsulated siRNA targeting the m6A reader YT521-B homology(YTH)N6-methyladenosine RNA-binding protein 1(YTHDF1)and docetaxel(DTX),the first-line chemotherapeutic agent of ovarian cancer,into mesenchymal stem cell-derived small extracellular vesicles(MsEVs).This nanosystem exhibits significant tumor targeting and endo/lysosomal escape of *** effectively depletes YTHDF1 and suppresses the protein translation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit C(EIF3C)in an m6A-dependent *** combination of YTHDF1-targeting epigenetic regulation significantly enhances the anti-tumor effect of DTX and effectively inhibits ovarian cancer progression without causing significant systemic *** co-delivery nanoplatform offers a promising approach for combinational cancer treatment,showing improved anti-tumor efficacy through the synergistic effects of epigenetic regulation and chemotherapeutic inhibition.

Introduction Gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)in adults are nearly 10%–30%with a potential malignant tendency[1].Colorectal GISTs account for 5%of all cases and have a higher progression risk with a poor prognosis[2,3].Rectal GISTs usually need radical operations such as laparoscopy to obtain tumor-free ***,it is difficult for surgery to preserve the anal function because of the tumor size and ***,we report a case of a 70-year-old female with a giant GIST located in the lower rectum,which was removed by function-preserving endoscopic minimally invasive resection after routine imatinib therapy.

Periodontitis can cause irreversible defects in the periodontal ligament(PDL),the regeneration of which is the major obstacle to the clinical treatment of *** hydrogel for releasing anti-inflammatory drugs is a promising treatment to promote PDL ***,existing hydrogel systems fail to mimic the typical viscoelastic feature of native periodontium,which may have been shown as an important role in tissue ***,the synergistic benefits of mechanical cues and biochemical agents for PDL regeneration remain *** this study,we developed a bi-crosslinking viscoelastic hydrogel(Alg-PBA/Spd)by integrating phenylboronic acid-modified alginate with anti-inflammatory agent(spermidine)through borate ester and B-N coordination bonds,where spermidine will be released with the degradation of the ***-PBA/Spd hydrogel is biocompatible,injectable and can quickly adapt to complex periodontal structures due to the dynamic *** demonstrated in rat models that the viscoelastic Alg-PBA/Spd hydrogel significantly promotes the deposition of periodontal collagen and accelerates the repair of periodontal *** results suggest that the viscoelastic Alg-PBA/Spd hydrogel would be a promising mechano-biochemically synergistic treatment for periodontal regeneration.

Effects of RapidEye Imagery's Red-edge Band and Vegetation Indices on Land Cover Classification in an Arid Region

Land cover classification(LCC) in arid regions is of great significance to the assessment, prediction, and management of land desertification. Some studies have shown that the red-edge band of RapidE ye images was effective for vegetation identification and could improve LCC accuracy. However, there has been no investigation of the effects of RapidE ye images' red-edge band and vegetation indices on LCC in arid regions where there are spectrally similar land covers mixed with very high or low vegetation coverage information and bare land. This study focused on a typical inland arid desert region located in Dunhuang Basin of northwestern China. First, five feature sets including or excluding the red-edge band and vegetation indices were constructed. Then, a land cover classification system involving plant communities was developed. Finally, random forest algorithm-based models with different feature sets were utilized for LCC. The conclusions drawn were as follows: 1) the red-edge band showed slight contribution to LCC accuracy; 2) vegetation indices had a significant positive effect on LCC; 3) simultaneous addition of the red-edge band and vegetation indices achieved a significant overall accuracy improvement(3.46% from 86.67%). In general, vegetation indices had larger effect than the red-edge band, and simultaneous addition of them significantly increased the accuracy of LCC in arid regions.
