Geographical origin identification of winter jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Dongzao')by using multi-element fingerprinting with chemometrics

Winter jujube(Ziziphus jujuba'Dongzao')is greatly appreciated by consumers for its excellent quality,but brand infringement frequently occurs in the ***,we first determined a total of 38 elements in 167 winter jujube samples from the main winter jujube producing areas of China by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer(ICP-MS).As a result,16 elements(Mg,K,Mn,Cu,Zn,Mo,Ba,Be,As,Se,Cd,Sb,Ce,Er,Tl,and Pb)exhibited significant differences in samples from different producing *** linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and orthogonal projection to latent structures discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA)showed better performance in identifying the origin of samples than unsupervised principal component analysis(PCA).LDA and OPLS-DA had a mean identification accuracy of 87.84 and 94.64%in the testing set,*** using the multilayer perceptron(MLP)and C5.0,the prediction accuracy of the models could reach 96.36 and 91.06%,*** on the above four chemometric methods,Cd,Tl,Mo and Se were selected as the main variables and principal markers for the origin identification of winter ***,this study demonstrates that it is practical and precise to identify the origin of winter jujube through multi-element fingerprint analysis with chemometrics,and may also provide reference for establishing the origin traceability system of other fruits.

The compressibility of fluids has a profound influence on oscillating bubble dynamics,as characterized by the Mach ***,current theoretical frameworks for bubbles,whether at the first or second order of the Mach number,are primarily confined to scenarios characterized by weak ***,a critical need to elucidate the precise range of applicability for both first-and second-order bubble theories ***,we investigate the suitability and constraints of bubble theories with different orders through a comparative analysis involving experimental data and numerical *** focal point of our investigation encompasses theories such as the Rayleigh–Plesset,Keller,Herring,and second-order bubble ***,the impact of parameters inherent in the second-order equations is *** spherical oscillating bubble dynamics in a free field,our findings reveal that the first-and second-order bubble theories are applicable when Ma≤0.3 and 0.4,*** a single sonoluminescence bubble,we define an instantaneous Mach number,*** second-order theory shows abnormal sensibility when Mai is high,which is negligible when Mai≤*** results of this study can serve as a valuable reference for studying compressible bubble dynamics.

High myopia(HM)is the primary cause of blindness,with the microstructural organization and composition of collagenous fibers in the cornea and sclera playing a crucial role in the biomechanical behavior of these *** a previously reported myopic linkage region,MYP5(17q21-22),a potential candidate gene,LRRC46(c.C235T,p.Q79X),was identified in a large han Chinese ***46 is expressed in various eye tissues in humans and mice,including the retina,cornea,and *** subsequent cell experiments,the mutation(c.C235T)decreased the expression of LRRC46 protein in human corneal epithelial cells(HCE-T).Further investigation revealed that Lrrc46^(-/-)mice(KO)exhibited a classical myopia *** thickness of the cornea and sclera in KO mice became thinner and more pronounced with age,the activity of limbal stem cells decreased,and microstructural changes were observed in the fibroblasts of the sclera and *** performed RNA-seq on scleral and corneal tissues of KO and normal control wild-type(WT)mice,which indicated a significant downregulation of the collagen synthesis-related pathway(extracellular matrix,ECM)in KO *** in vitro studies further indicated that LRRC46,a member of the important LRR protein family,primarily affected the formation of *** study suggested that LRRC46 is a novel candidate gene for HM,influencing collagen protein VⅢ(Col8a1)formation in the eye and gradually altering the biomechanical structure of the cornea and sclera,thereby promoting the occurrence and development of HM.

Physicochemical principles of hydrogen metallurgy in blast furnace

Based on the stoichiometric method and the free energy minimization method,an ideal model for the reduction of iron oxides by carbon and hydrogen under blast furnace conditions was established,and the reduction efficiency and theoretical energy consumption of the all-carbon blast furnace and the hydrogen-rich blast furnace were *** results show that after the reduction reaction is completed at the bottom of the blast furnace,the gas produced by reduction at 1600℃still has a certain excessive reduction capacity,which is due to the hydrogen brought in by the hydrogen-rich blast as well as the excess carbon monoxide generated by the reaction of the coke and the oxygen brought in by the *** the process of the gas with excessive reduction capacity rising from the bottom of the blast furnace and gas reduction process,the excessive reduction capacity of the gas gradually decreases with the increase in the dydrogen content in the *** the all-carbon blast furnace,the excess gas reduction capacity is the strongest,and the total energy consumption per ton of iron reduction is the *** shows that,for the current operation mode of the blast furnace,adding hydrogen in the blast furnace cannot reduce the consumption of carbon required for reduction per ton of iron,but rather increases the consumption of carbon.

Random Raman Fiber Laser as a Liquid Refractive Index Sensor

In this paper,a new concept of forward-pumped random Raman fiber laser(RRFL)-based liquid refractive index sensing is proposed for the first *** liquid refractive index sensing,the flat fiber end immersed in the liquid can act as the point reflector for generating random fiber lasing and also as the sensing *** to the high sensitivity of the output power of the RRFL to the reflectivity provided by the point reflector in the ultralow reflectivity regime,the proposed RRFL is capable of achieving liquid refractive index sensing by measuring the random lasing output *** theoretically investigate the effects of the operating pump power and fiber length on the refractive index sensitivity for the proposed *** a proof-of-concept demonstration,we experimentally realize high-sensitivity half-open short-cavity RRFL-based liquid refractive index sensing with the maximum sensitivity and the sensing resolution of-39.88W/RIU and 2.5075×10^(-5) RIU,*** also experimentally verify that the refractive index sensitivity can be enhanced with the shorter fiber length of the *** work extends the application of the random fiber laser as a new platform for highly-sensitive refractive index sensing in chemical,biomedical,and environmental monitoring applications,etc.
