Ultra-high-voltage(UHV)junction field-effect transistors(JFETs)embedded separately with the lateral NPN(JFETLNPN),and the lateral and vertical NPN(JFET-LVNPN),are demonstrated experimentally for improving the electrostatic discharge(ESD)*** ESD characteristics show that both JFET-LNPN and JFET-LVNPN can pass the 5.5-k V human body model(HBM)*** JFETs embedded with different NPNs have 3.75 times stronger in ESD robustness than the conventional *** failure analysis of the devices is performed with scanning electron microscopy,and the obtained delayer images illustrate that the JFETs embedded with NPN transistors have good voltage endurance ***,the internal physical mechanism of the JFETs embedded with different NPNs is investigated with emission microscopy and Sentaurus simulation,and the results confirm that the JFET-LVNPN has stronger ESD robustness than the JFET-LNPN,because the vertical NPN has a better electron collecting *** JFET-LVNPN is helpful in providing a strong ESD protection and functions for a power device.

The settlement of widened highway subgrade in mountainous area is not only affected by the interaction between new and existing subgrade, but also seriously restricted by the external retaining wall. Based on the practical engineering of half-filled and half-cut widened mountainous highway subgrade with external balance weight retaining wall(BWRW), a sophisticated finite element numerical model is established. The evolution law of subgrade settlement is revealed during the whole process of new subgrade filling and BWRW inclination after construction. The settlement component of subgrade is clarified considering whether the existing pavement continues to be used. The results show that the additional settlement caused by the BWRW inclination after construction cannot be ignored in the widening and reconstruction of mountainous highway subgrade. In addition, pursuant to the comprehensive design of subgrade and pavement, the component of subgrade settlement should be determined according to whether the existing pavement continues to be used, while considering the influence of BWRW inclination after construction. When the existing pavement continues to be used, the settlement of the existing subgrade is caused by the new subgrade filling and the BWRW inclination after construction. On the contrary, the settlement is only caused by the BWRW inclination after construction.

BACKGROUND Tuberculous myelitis is a rare manifestation of tuberculosis(TB)that is usually caused by hematogenous spread of Mycobacterium tuberculosis(MTB).Neurosyphilis is a neurological disease that occurs when Treponema pallidum invades the brain or the spinal ***,these two diseases involving the spinal cord are rare and cases of concurrent tuberculous transverse myelitis and asymptomatic neurosyphilis have seldom been *** SUMMARY A 56-year-old man presented with numbness and pain of both lower limbs for 2 wk and dysuria for 1 *** serology and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)analysis supported the diagnosis of neurosyphilis and the patient was treated with intravenous ceftriaxone at first,but symptoms still ***,magnetic resonance images revealed multiple lesions along the cervicothoracic junction,and chest computed tomography showed a typical TB *** DNA was detected in the CSF sample by metagenomic next-generation *** the patient was diagnosed with tuberculous myelitis combined with asymptomatic ***,quadruple anti-TB drug standardized therapy was empirically used and his neurological symptoms improved *** Patients can have coinfection with tuberculous transverse myelitis and asymptomatic *** with neurosyphilis should be examined for other pathogens.

MXene,a novel two-dimensional （2D） multi-layer material,has drawn unusual interest as the microwave absorbers for electromagnetic energy *** MXene-based heterostructure composites via optimizing structure is an effective strategy to endow MXene materials with high-performance microwave *** study reports the fabrication and investigation of the microwave absorption performance of a sandwich-like CuS/Ti3C2TxMXene composites prepared by loading CuS nanoparticles onto 2D Ti3C2Txvia a solvothermal *** morphology and electromagnetic absorption properties of this composite were investigated and the results demonstrated that the CuS/Ti3C2Txcomposite with a heterolayered architecture displayed superior microwave absorption *** a 35 wt%filler loading in the paraffin matrix,the minimum reflection loss value reached-45.3 dB at a frequency of 7.3 GHz and the effective absorption bandwidth achieved a value as high as 5.2 GHz with a thickness of 2.0 *** enhanced microwave absorption performances can be ascribed to the cooperation of the conductive network,interface polarization,dipole polarization,multiple reflection and ***,the synthesized CuS/Ti3C2TxMXene composites offer an efficient foundation for the design and utilization of other lightweight microwave absorbers.

Liquefaction of sandy soils is a big threat to the stability and the safety of an earth embankment laid on saturated soils.A large number of liquefaction-induced damages on embankment due to different types of earthquakes have been reported *** this research,the dynamic behaviors of earth embankment and the reinforcement effects of grouting as remediation method,subjected to moderate earthquake EQ1 and strong earthquake EQ2,were numerically *** seismic behaviors of ground composed of cohesionless sandy soil and cohesive clayey soil were uniformly described by the cyclic mobility(CM)model,which is capable of describing accurately the mechanical property of the soil due to monotonic and cyclic loadings by accounting for stress-induced anisotropy,over-consolidation,and soil *** is known from the numerical investigation that the embankment would experience destructive deformation,and that the collapse mode was closely related to the properties of input seismic motion because high intensities and long durations of an earthquake motion could lead to significant plastic deformation and prolonged soil *** the strong seismic loading of EQ2,a circular collapse surface,combined with huge settlement and lateral spread,occurred inside the liquefication zone and extended towards the embankment *** contrast,in moderate earthquake EQ1,upheaval was observed at each toe of the embankment,and instability occurred only in the liquefied *** anti-liquefaction remediation via grouting was determined to significantly reduce liquefaction-induced deformation(settlement,lateral spreading,and local uplift)and restrain the deep-seated circular sliding failure,even though the top sandy soil liquefied in both *** the structure was subjected to EQ2 motion,local failure occurred on the embankment slope reinforced with grouting,and thus,an additional appropriate countermeasure should be implemented to further strengthen the slope.

Numerical simulation and analysis of periodically oscillating pressure characteristics of inviscid flow in a rolling pipe

Floating liquefied natural gas （LNG） plants are gaining increasing attention in offshc,re energy exploitation. The effects of the periodically osciUatory motion on the fluid flow in all processes on the oil＂shore plant are very complicated and require detailed thermodynamic and hydrodynamic analyses. In this paper, numerical simula- tions are conducted by computational fluid dynamics （CFD） code combined with user defined function （UDF） in order to understand the periodically oscillating pressure characteristics of inviscid flow in the rolling pipe. The computational model of the circular pipe flow is established with the excitated rolling motion, at the excitated frequencies of 1-4rad/s, and the excitated amplitudes of 3^-15~, respectively. The influences of flow velocities and excitated conditions on pressure characteristics, including mean pressure, frequency and amplitude are systematically investigalted. It is found that the pressure fluctuation of the inviscid flow remains almost constant at different flow velocities. The amplitude of the pressure fluctuation increases with the increasing of the excitated amplitude, and decreases with the increasing of the excitated frequency. It is also found that the period of the pressure fluctuation varies with the excitated frequency. Furthermore, theoretical analyses of the flow in the rolling circular pipe are conducted and the results are found in qualitative agreement with the numerical simulations.

Background:None of study mentioned about contrast-induced acute kidney injury(CI-AKI)in people who have received contrast agents twice within in a short period of *** study is trying to identify the ***:We enrolled 607 patients between Oct.2010 and Jul.2015 who received contrast agents twice within 30 days in the Department of Cardiology of the General Hospital of Shenyang Military *** primary outcome was CI-AKI within 72 h after contrast agent *** were divided into groups A(n=559)and group B(n=48)according to whether CI-AKI occurred after the second ***:Patients in group B(CI-AKI occurred after the second agent)had a more rapid heart rate and more usage of diuretics and *** group B,CI-AKI occurred more frequently after the first *** logistic regression showed that diuretic(P=0.006)and intra-aortic balloon pump(IABP)usage(P=0.012)were independent predictors of CI-AKI after the first ***-converting enzyme inhibitor/AngiotensinⅡreceptor antagonist(ACEI/ARB)usage(P=0.039),IABP usage(P=0.040)and CI-AKI occurring after administration of the first agent(P=0.015)were independent predictors of CI-AKI after the ***,dividing the patients into tertiles of the time interval between the two agents showed that CI-AKI occurred more frequently when the second agent was administered within 1–3 days after the first exposure than within 4–6 days(12.4%vs.5.0%,P=0.008)or≥7 days(12.4%vs.6.4%,P=0.039).Conclusions:Diuretic and IABP usage are independent predictors of CI-AKI following exposure to a first contrast *** major predictors of CI-AKI after exposure to a second agent are time since the first contrast exposure,ACEI/ARB usage,and IABP *** importantly,a three-day interval between the two agents is associated with a higher incidence of CI-AKI following the second administration.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of herb-partitioned moxibustion(HPM) at Qihai(CV6), Tianshu(ST25) and Shangjuxu(ST37) acupoints in relieving symptoms and the immune regulation of HPM on the toll-like receptors 4(TLR4) signaling pathway in ulcerative colitis(UC) ***: A randomized, single-blind study was conducted 63 patients to receive HPM or sham HPM treatment. The efficacy outcomes included scores of the Mayo, Baron, inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire(IBDQ), self-rating depression scale(SDS), self-rating anxiety scale(SAS). HE staining was used to observe the histopathological changes of the colon. The expression of inflammatory cytokines and TLR4 signaling pathway related molecules were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and ***: Baron, SDS, SAS scores were significantly decreased in moxibustion group(P gulation of HPM on TLR4 signaling pathway.
