Existing rechargeable batteries not only fail to meet the demand for high power applications but also cause heavy metal ***-ion capacitors(LICs),which can achieve higher charging speeds and energy densities than supercapacitors,have attracted extensive ***,sluggish Li-ion diffusion of the battery-type anode results in limited rate performance of ***,highperformance LICs using both battery and capacitor type Mn_(2)V_(2)O_(7)-graphene(MVO-G)anodes and hempstem-derivated activated carbon(HSAC)cathodes with a large surface area are first *** addition to high pseudocapacitance,the MVO-G possesses the advantage of fast Li^(+)storage performance making it a suitable choice for advanced LIC *** is employed to enhance overall conductivity and cycling stability leading to enhanced energy *** MVO-G//HSAC LICs exhibit a high energy density of 148.1 Wh kg^(-1) at a power density of 150 W kg^(-1) and 25 Wh kg^(-1) even at15 k W kg^(-1).More importantly,the MVO-G//HSAC LICs also show excellent cycling stability of 90%after15,000 cycles,which is expected for high performance energy storage systems.

AIM:To assess the protective effect of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell exosomes(hucMSC-Exs)in a diabetic rat model by using a variety of retinal ***:hucMSCs were subjected to differential ultracentrifugation for the collection of exosomes,and transmission electron microscopy(TEM),nanoparticle tracking analysis(NTA)using a NanoSight analysis system and Western blotting(WB)were used to analyze the expression of surface marker proteins such as CD63,CD9 and ***(STZ)was injected into the intraperitoneal cavity to establish a diabetic *** were divided into a normal group,diabetic group and hucMSC-Ex *** fluorescein angiography(FFA),optical coherence tomography(OCT)and other live imaging methods were used to observe the fundus of the ***,the eyeballs of rats from each group were collected for hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining to further analyze the retinal ***:Through TEM,NTA and WB,we successfully isolated *** FFA and OCT confirmed that hucMSC-Exs effectively prevented early retinal vascular damage and thickening of the ***,HE staining of rat retinal sections revealed that exosomes effectively alleviated retinal structure disruption caused by ***:hucMSC-Exs have a protective effect on the retina in diabetic rat through FFA,OCT and HE staining.

Follicle-stimulating hormone receptor （FSHR）, which is expressed only on Sertoli cells and plays a key role in spermatogenesis, has been paid attention for its potential in male contraception vaccine research and development. This study introduces a method for the preparation and purification of human FSHR 57-amino acid protein （FSHR-57aa） as well as determination of its immunogenicity and antifertility effect. A recombinant pET-28a（＋）-FSHR-57aa plasmid was constructed and expressed in Escherichia coil strain BL21 StarTM （DE3） and the FSHR-57aa protein was separated and collected by cutting the gel and recovering activity by efficient refolding dialysis. The protein was identified by Western blot and high-performance liquid chromatography analysis with a band of nearly 7 kDa and a purity of 97.4%. Male monkeys were immunized with rhFSHR-57aa protein and a gradual rising of specific serum IgG antibody was found which reached a plateau on day 112 （16 weeks） after the first immunization. After mating of one male with three female monkeys, the pregnancy rate of those mated with males immunized against FSHR-57aa was significantly decreased while the serum hormone levels of testosterone and estradiol were not disturbed in the control or the FSHR-57aa groups. By evaluating pathological changes in testicular histology, we found that the blood-testis barrier remained intact, in spite of some small damage to Sertoli cells. In conclusion, our study demonstrates that the rhFSHR-57aa protein might be a feasible male contraceptive which could affect sperm production without disturbing hormone levels.

Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have great potential for a wide use in various biomedical applications due to their unusual properties. It is critical for many applications that the biological effects of nanoparticles are studied in depth. To date, many disparate results can be found in the literature regarding nanoparticle-biological factors interactions. This review highlights recent developments in this field with particular focuses on in vitro MNPs-cell interactions. The effect of MNPs properties on cellular uptake and cytotoxicity evaluation of MNPs were discussed. Some employed methods are also included. Moreover, nanoparticle-cell interactions are mediated by the presence of proteins absorbed from biological fluids on the nanoparticle. Many questions remain on the effect of nanoparticle surface (in addition to nanoparticle size) on protein adsorption. We review papers related to this point too.

We investigate rigidity problems for odd-dimensional compact *** show that if Mn（n 5） is an odd-dimensional compact submanifold with parallel mean curvature in Sn＋p,and if RicM ＆gt;（n- 2-1n）（1 ＋ H2） and H ＆lt; δn,where δn is an explicit positive constant depending only on n,then M is a totally umbilical *** H is the mean curvature of ***,we prove that if Mn（n 5） is an odd-dimensional compact submanifold in the space form Fn＋p（c） with c 0,and if RicM ＆gt;（n-2-εn）（c＋H2）,where εn is an explicit positive constant depending only on n,then M is homeomorphic to a sphere.

Cooperative Localization of AUVs Using Moving Horizon Estimation

This paper studies the localization problem of autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs) constrained by limited size, power and payload. Such AUVs cannot be equipped with heavy sensors which makes their underwater localization problem difficult. The proposed cooperative localization algorithm is performed by using a single surface mobile beacon which provides range measurement to bound the localization error. The main contribution of this paper is twofold: 1) The observability of single beacon based localization is first analyzed in the context of nonlinear discrete time system, deriving a sufficient condition on observability. It is further compared with observability of linearized system to verify that a nonlinear state estimation is necessary. 2) Moving horizon estimation is integrated with extended Kalman filter(EKF) for three dimensional localization using single beacon, which can alleviate the computational complexity,impose various constraints and make use of several previous range measurements for each estimation. The observability and improved localization accuracy of the localization algorithm are verified by extensive numerical simulation compared with EKF.

The localized method of fundamental solutions(LMFS)is a relatively new meshless boundary collocation *** the LMFS,the global MFS approxima-tion which is expensive to evaluate is replaced by local MFS formulation deﬁned in a set of overlapping *** LMFS algorithm therefore converts differential equations into sparse rather than dense matrices which are much cheaper to *** paper makes theﬁrst attempt to apply the LMFS,in conjunction with a domain-decomposition technique,for the numerical solution of steady-state heat con-duction problems in two-dimensional(2D)anisotropic layered ***,the layered material is decomposed into several subdomains along the layer-layer inter-faces,and in each of the subdomains,the solution is approximated by using the LMFS *** the subdomain interface,compatibility of temperatures and heatﬂuxes are *** numerical experiments illustrate that the proposed domain-decomposition LMFS algorithm is accurate,stable and computationally efﬁcient for the numerical solution of large-scale multi-layered materials.

The method of combining a physical model with a mathematical model is described to study the concentration profile of pollutant dispersion in the yangtze Estuary. the Experiments are described regarding a jet in a tidal physical model and two-dimensional calculations of diffusion using momentum and mass conservation equations of unsteady flow. The feature of dispersion in the tidal flow, which is different from that in the steady flow such as rivers, is explained. Dilution and dispersion mainly depend on the volume of runoff and tidal range. The results of the measurement and calculation are presented, and it can be seen that they are in good agreement.

In this paper,a high-accuracy numerical scheme is developed for long-time dynamic simulations of 2D and 3D wave propagation *** the derivation of the present approach,the second order time derivative of the physical quantity in the wave equation is treated as a substitution *** on the temporal discretization with the Krylov deferred correction(KDC)technique,the original wave problem is then converted into the modified Helmholtz *** transformed boundary value problem(BVP)in space is efficiently simulated by using the meshless generalized finite difference method(GFDM)with Taylor series after truncating the second and fourth order *** developed scheme is finally verified by four numerical experiments including cases with complicated domains or the temporally piecewise defined source *** results match with the analytical solutions and results by the COMSOL software,which demonstrates that the developed KDC-GFDM can allow large time-step sizes for wave propagation problems in longtime intervals.
