Carbon-based nanomaterials cause toxicity by oxidative stress to the liver and brain in Sprague-Dawley rats

Carbon-based nanomaterials have important research significance in various disciplines,such as composite materials,nanoelectronic devices,biosensors,biological imaging,and drug ***,the human and ecological risks associated with carbon-based nanomaterials have received increasing ***,the biological safety of carbon based nanomaterials has not been systematically *** this study,we used different types of carbon materials,namely,graphene oxide(GO),single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs),and multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs),as models to observe their distribution and oxidative damage in *** results of Histopathological and ultrastructural examinations indicated that the liver and lungs were the main accumulation targets of these ***-μ-XRF analysis revealed that SWCNTs and MWCNTs might be present in the *** shows that the three types of carbon-based nanomaterials could cross the gas-blood barrier and eventually reach the liver *** addition,SWCNTs and MWCNTs could cross the blood-brain barrier and accumulate in the cerebral *** increase in ROS and MDA levels and the decrease in GSH,SOD,and CAT levels indicated that the three types of nanomaterials might cause oxidative stress in the *** suggests that direct instillation of these carbon-based nanomaterials into rats could induce ROS *** addition,iron(Fe)contaminants in these nanomaterials were a definite source of free ***,these nanomaterials did not cause obvious damage to the rat brain *** deposition of selenoprotein in the rat brain was found to be related to oxidative stress and Fe *** information may support the development of secure and reasonable applications of the studied carbon-based nanomaterials.

Integrated Frequency-constrained Scheduling Considering Coordination of Frequency Regulation Capabilities from Multi-source Converters

As the proportion of renewable energy(RE)increases,the inertia and the primary frequency regulation(FR)capability of the power system ***,ensuring frequency security in the scheduling model has become a new technical requirement in power systems with a high share of *** to a shortage of conventional synchronous generators,the frequency support of multi-source converters has become an indispensable part of the system frequency resources,especially variable-speed wind turbine generation(WTG)and battery energy storage(BES).Quantitative expression of the FR capability of multi-source converters is necessary to construct frequency-constrained scheduling ***,the frequency support performance of these converter-interfaced devices is related to their working states,operation modes,and parameters,and the complex coupling of these factors has not been fully exploited in existing *** this study,we propose an integrated frequency-constrained scheduling model considering the coordination of FR capabilities from multi-source *** FR control strategies and variable FR parameters for WTG with or without reserved power are modeled,and multi-target allocation of BES capacity between tracking dispatch instruction and emergency FR is ***,the variable FR capabilities of WTG and BES are embedded into the integrated frequency-constrained scheduling *** nonlinear constraints for frequency security are precisely linearized through an improved iteration-based *** effectiveness of the proposed model is verified in a modified IEEE 24-bus standard *** results suggest that the coordinated participation of BES and WTG in FR can effectively reduce the cost of the scheduling model while meeting frequency security constraints.

Background:Insomnia is a high-incidence complication in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Auricular therapy can effectively improve sleep with few adverse *** selection affects the impact of auricular ***,there is currently a lack of analysis on the standards of acupoint *** study used data mining technology to investigate the acupoint selection principles and characteristics of auricular therapy for the treatment of MHD-related ***:The objective of the study is to explore the standards of acupoint selection in auricular therapy for the treatment of MHD-related insomnia through data mining *** and Methods:We searched three English(PubMed,WOS,and Embase)and four Chinese(CNKI,VIP,Wangfang,and CBM)databases for studies on auricular therapy for MHD-related insomnia from self-establishment to November 14,***:Eighty-one publications were involved,which included 33 *** most common auricular points in patients with MHD-related insomnia were the Shenmen,heart,and kidney *** applications involved the visceral,nervous system,and specific *** effective clusters and two clusters were obtained through cluster analysis,including specific auricular points for insomnia,such as the multi-dream area,neurasthenia area,deep sleep point,and anterior ear *** network analysis showed that the core auricular acupoint combinations for the intervention of MHD-related insomnia were Shenmen with kidney,Shenmen with heart,heart with kidney,heart with Shenmen,and heart and Shenmen with ***:The selection of auricular points for the treatment of MHD-related insomnia was guided by the heart theory of traditional Chinese *** treatment attaches importance to the use of the multi-dream area,neurasthenia area,and other acupoints.

Analysis of sensitivity to hydrate blockage risk in natural gas gathering pipeline

During the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, the formation of hydrates is highly probable, leading to uncontrolled movement and aggregation of hydrates. The continuous migration and accumulation of hydrates further contribute to the obstruction of natural gas pipelines, resulting in production reduction, shutdowns, and pressure build-ups. Consequently, a cascade of risks is prone to occur. To address this issue, this study focuses on the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, where a comprehensive framework is established. This framework includes theoretical models for pipeline temperature distribution, pipeline pressure distribution, multiphase flow within the pipeline, hydrate blockage, and numerical solution methods. By analyzing the influence of inlet temperature, inlet pressure, and terminal pressure on hydrate formation within the pipeline, the sensitivity patterns of hydrate blockage risks are derived. The research indicates that reducing inlet pressure and terminal pressure could lead to a decreased maximum hydrate formation rate, potentially mitigating pipeline blockage during natural gas transportation. Furthermore, an increase in inlet temperature and terminal pressure, and a decrease in inlet pressure, results in a displacement of the most probable location for hydrate blockage towards the terminal station. However,it is crucial to note that operating under low-pressure conditions significantly elevates energy consumption within the gathering system, contradicting the operational goal of energy efficiency and reduction of energy consumption. Consequently, for high-pressure gathering pipelines, measures such as raising the inlet temperature or employing inhibitors, electrical heat tracing, and thermal insulation should be adopted to prevent hydrate formation during natural gas transportation. Cross-Project Software Defect Prediction Based on SMOTE and Deep Canonical Correlation Analysis

Cross-Project Defect Prediction(CPDP)is a method that utilizes historical data from other source projects to train predictive models for defect prediction in the target ***,existing CPDP methods only consider linear correlations between features(indicators)of the source and target *** models are not capable of evaluating non-linear correlations between features when they exist,for example,when there are differences in data distributions between the source and target *** a result,the performance of such CPDP models is *** this paper,this paper proposes a novel CPDP method based on Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique(SMOTE)and Deep Canonical Correlation Analysis(DCCA),referred to as *** Correlation Analysis(CCA)is employed to address the issue of non-linear correlations between features of the source and target projects.S-DCCA extends CCA by incorporating the MlpNet model for feature extraction from the *** redundant features are then eliminated by maximizing the correlated feature subset using the CCA loss ***,cross-project defect prediction is achieved through the application of the SMOTE data sampling *** Under Curve(AUC)and F1 scores(F1)are used as evaluation *** paper conducted experiments on 27 projects from four public datasets to validate the proposed *** results demonstrate that,on average,our method outperforms all baseline approaches by at least 1.2%in AUC and 5.5%in F1 *** indicates that the proposed method exhibits favorable performance characteristics.

This paper proposes a coordinated frequency control scheme for emergency frequency regulation of isolated power systems with a high penetration of wind *** proposed frequency control strategy is based on the novel nonlinear regulator theory,which takes advantage of nonlinearity of doubly fed induction generators(DFIGs)and generators to regulate the frequency of the power *** deviations and power imbalances are used to design nonlinear feedback controllers that achieve the reserve power distribution between generators and DFIGs,in various wind speed *** effectiveness and dynamic performance of the proposed nonlinear coordinated frequency control method are validated through simulations in an actual isolated power grid.
