An adaptive dual Kalman filtering algorithm for Locata/GPS/INS integrated navigation

In this paper, we study stabilizing problems for networked control systems in the presence of Denial-of-Service（DoS） attacks. DoS attacks may prevent signal transmissions over the network communication channels. The control objective is to save communication resources as many as possible while closed-loop stability is not destroyed under DoS attacks. By constructing a predictor-based periodic event-triggered control framework, we provide a stabilizing condition. The condition is up to the maximum unstable eigenvalue of the dynamic matrix of the plant and the parameters of DoS attacks. Through the event-triggered scheme, the transmission interval is extended, and the communication resources are saved. Simulations are done to confirm the bit rate under event-triggered control is lower than that under periodic sampling control.

Identification and Characterization of Brown Spot Disease on Fruit of Chinese Torreya

In modern navigation applications, Inertial Navigation System （INS） is attractive for integrating with Global Positioning System （GPS）. Although traditional GPS/INS integrated systems can bridge the GPS gaps, the navigation capability is strongly dependent on the performances of standalone INS. As an important complementary, a new terrestrial, Radio-Frequency （RF） based, distance measurement technology "Locata" can provide continuously time-synchronised ranging signals even in many GPS challenged environments e.g. poor satellite geometry, signal blockage in suburban, tunnels, high rise buildings canyon. This paper investigates the integration of Locata, GPS, and INS with a focus on the loosely-coupled triple integration algorithm. Firstly, the Conventional Kalman Filtering （CKF） based triple integration of Locata/GPS/INS architecture is described and briefly discussed. Secondly,to overcome the pitfalls of conventional Locata/GPS/INS integration algorithm, an Adaptive Dual KalmanFiltering （ADKF） algorithm is proposed and developedin three stages: （1） to（To） enhance the reliability of position and velocity （PV） quantities generated from Locata/GPS integrated sensors, the 1st KF is additionally constructed to reliably estimate the PV solution before fusing INS sensor. （2）Combining the 15-stateINS error model and the measurements which are the differences between PV solution from the 1st KF and INS sensor, the 2nd KFis subsequently employed to correct the INS navigation errors. （3） The final integration solution is reversely used as the feedback for precisely estimating the stochastic model （i.e. variance of dynamic and observation model noise） of the 1st KF. Finally, the real flight experiment is carried out to demonstrate the efficiency and validity of Locata/GPS/INS integration algorithms. The results show that: （1） ConventionalGPS/INS integration performs well but its accuracy dramatically decreases when GPS signals are unavailable for a short period. （2） Augmented

Background Cortical spreading depression can cause migraine attack, and up-regulate matrix metalloproteinase-9 （MMP-9） expression in animal. This study aimed to determine the impact on the structure and function of the blood-brain barrier by measuring plasma MMP-9 levels in patients at the acute and late stages of migraine attacks in order to elucidate the pathological mechanisms involved. Methods We recruited a case-control cohort of 38 adult migraine patients and 20 age- and gender-matched healthy control subjects. Five milliliter blood samples were collected at the acute and late stages of migraine （days 1-7）, and also from the control subjects. Solid phase double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to determine plasma MMP-9 levels. Statistical analysis was performed using the SAS version 9.1. Results Initial plasma MMP-9 levels of migraine patients were significantly higher than those of controls （（12.612±0.016） μg/L vs. （6.069±0.023）μg/L, respectively, P 〈0.05）. High MMP-9 expression was observed during days 1-6 of migraine attacks, with highest expression occurring on day 3 （（17.524±0.035） μg/L）. During attacks, MMP-9 levels were similar in migraine patients with and without aura （P 〉0.05）; in addition, levels were not correlated with degree of headache pain （P 〉0.05）. Conclusions We hypothesize that migraine could lead to increased plasma MMP-9 levels resulting in blood-brain barrier damage. MMP-9 levels increase during days 1-6 of migraine attacks, peaking on day 3. Therefore, MMP-9 could be used as a biological marker to guide treatment of migraine attacks.

Background： The accuracy of nasopharyngeal aspirate （NPA） specimens in detecting lower respiratory pathogens remains controversial. The objective of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of aspirates （NPAs） specimen in lower respiratory tract infections （LRTIs） in children. Methods： The prospective study was designed to collect the data of paired NPAs and bronchoalveolar lavage fluids from children with acute LRTIs from January 2013 to December 2015. All specimens were subjected to pathogen detection： bacterial detection by culture, Mvcoplasma pneumoniae （Mp） detection by polymerase chain reaction assay and virus （influenza A and B viruses, parainfluenza virus [PIV] Types 1 and 3, respiratory syncytial virus, and adenovirus） detection by immunofluorescence assay. The diagnostic accuracy analysis of NPAs was stratified by age ≤3 years （n = 194） and 〉3 years （n = 294）. Results： We collected paired specimens from 488 children. The positive rate of pathogen was 61.6%. For Streptococcus pneumoniae, NPA culture had the specificity of 89.9% and negative predictive value of 100% in age ≤3 years, the specificity of 97.2% and negative predictive value of 98.9% in age 〉3 years. For Mp, the positive predictive values of NPA was 77.4% in children ≤3 years, and 89.1% in children 〉3 years. For PIV III, NPA specimen had the specificity of 99.8% and negative predictive value of 96.5% in children ≤3 years. For adenovirus, NPA had the specificity of 97.8% and negative predictive value of 98.4% in age ≤3 years, the specificity of 98.9% and negative predictive value of 99.3% in age 〉3 years. Conclusions： NPAs are less invasive diagnostic respiratory specimens, a negative NPA result is helpful in ＂rule out＂ lower airway infection; however, a positive result does not reliably ＂rule in＂ the presence of pathogens.

Background Myotonic dystrophy type 1(DM1) is an autosomal dominant multisystem disease caused by abnormal expansion of cytosine-thymine-guanine(CTG) repeats in the myotonic dystrophy protein kinase gene. The clinical manifestations of DM1 are multisystemic and highly variable, and the unstable nature of CTG expansion causes wide genotypic and phenotypic presentations, which make molecular methods essential for the diagnosis. So far, very few studies about molecular diagnosis in Chinese patients with DM1 have been reported. Therefore, we carried out a study using two different methods in molecular diagnosis to verify the validity in detecting CTG expansion in Chinese patients showing DM *** A total of 97 Chinese individuals were referred for molecular diagnosis of DM1 using conventional polymerase chain reaction(PCR) accompanied by Southern blotting and triplet primed PCR(TP-PCR). We evaluated the sensitivity and limitation of each method using *** By conventional PCR 65 samples showed only one fragment corresponding to the normal allele and 62 out of them were correctly diagnosed as DM1 by TP-PCR and three homologous non-DM1 samples were ruled out; Southern blotting analysis successfully made 13 out of 16 correct diagnoses with a more sensitivity using α-32P-labeled probes than dig-labeled *** Molecular analysis is necessary for the diagnosis of DM1 and TP-PCR is a reliable, sensitive, and easily performed method in molecular diagnosis which is worthy to be popularized.
