Pentylenetetrazole（PTZ）is a widely-used convulsant used in studies of epilepsy;its subcutaneous injection generates an animal model with stable ***,we compared the ability of PTZ via the intravenous and subcutaneous routes to evoke progressive epileptiform activity in the hippocampal CA1 neurons of anesthetized *** involvement of the BDNF-TrkB pathway was then *** PTZ was given intravenously,it induced epileptiform bursting activity at a short latency in a dose-dependent ***,when PTZ was given subcutaneously,it induced a slowly-developing pattern of epileptogenesis;first,generating multiple population-spike peaks,then spontaneous interictal discharge-like spike,leading to the final ictal discharge-like,highly synchronized bursting firing in the CA1 pyramidal layer of the hippocampus.K252a,a TrkB receptor antagonist,when given by intracerebroventricular injection,significantly reduced the probability of multiple population spike peaks induced by subcutaneous injection of PTZ,delayed the latency of spontaneous spikes,and reduced the burst *** results indicate that PTZ induces a progressive change of neuronal epileptiform activity in the hippocampus,and the BDNF-TrkB signaling pathway is mainly involved in the early phases of epileptogenesis,but not the synchronized neuronal burst activity associated with epileptic seizure in the PTZ animal *** results provide basic insights into the changing pattern of hippocampal neuronal activity during the development of the PTZ seizure model,and establish an in vivo seizure model useful for future electrophysiological studies of epilepsy.

The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of macrophage migration inhibitory factor （MMIF）, hypoxia-inducible factor- 1 α（HIF- 1α ）and vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） in the serum and endometrial tissues of patients with endometriosis （EM） and the clinical significance. Eighty EM patients [American Reproductive Association stage Ⅰ （n=20）, stage Ⅱ （n=22）, stage Ⅲ （n=21） and stage Ⅳ （n=17）] were enrolled and divided into mild （10- 14 points, n=28）, moderate （16-24 points, n=27） and severe （26-30 points, n=25） dysmenorrhea groups. The control group included 40 healthy women of childbearing age who underwent routine healthcare examinations in the enrolment period. The expression of MMIF, HIF- 1α and VEGF in the serum and endometrial tissues was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Western blotting, respectively. Meanwhile, the sensitivity and specificity of serum MMIF, HIF-1α, and VEGF when separately used as single indexes or jointly used as one index were examined as well. The results showed that serum concentrations of MMIF, HIF-1α, and VEGF were significantly higher in EM patients than in controls （P〈0.05）. The expression of all three proteins in both serum and endometrial tissues increased significantly with the R-AFS stage （P〈0.05） and with dysmenorrheal severity （P〈0.05）. The sensitivity and specificity of the combined detection of serum MMIF, HIF-1α, and VEGF levels were significantly higher than those of single index detection （P〈0.05）. In conclusion, the expression of MMIF, HIF-1α, and VEGF in the serum and endometrial tissues may be used to assess the stage of EM and the severity of dysmenorrhea. Combined evaluation of MMIF, HIF-1α, and VEGF significantly improves the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity.

Reaction of polystyrene-supported lithium selenide with 3-acetoxy-2-methylene-alkanoates afforded the corresponding allyl selenide resins and subsequent cleavage from the polymer by treating with methyl iodide to furnish （Z）-allyl iodides in good yields and high purities. The polymeric selenium reagent can be regenerated and reused. So it is a environmentally benign reagent.

Objective To study the interaction between polymorphisms of estrogen receptor （ER） gene and puberty on bone mineral density （BMD）. Methods One hundred and forty-six boys aged 13-17 years were divided into two groups according to their first sperrnorrhea. DNA was analyzed for Xba I and Pvu 1/genotypes by PCR-RFLP. BMD of the total body, forearm and lumbar spine was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry （DXA）. The relationship between polymorphisms of ER gene and BMD in these two groups was analyzed. Results The BMD at all sites in the sperrnorrhea group was significantly higher than that in the un-sperrnorrhea group. The independent contribution of ER genotypes to BMD at two pubertal stages was analyzed after adjusting co-variables. In the un-sperrnorrhea group, the BMD at distal 1/10 and 1/3 forearm of those carrying pp genotype was significantly higher than that of the non-carries, whereas in the sperrnorrhea group BMD in those carrying the same genotype was significantly lower than that in the non-carriers. Similar results were obtained by haplotype analysis. Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that body weight, age and the first sperrnorrehea were the dominant determinants for BMD. BMD at forearm might be influenced by interaction between ER genotype and the first spermorrehea. Conclusion The polymorphisms of ER gene play a different role in BMD influenced by the first spermorrhea. Chinese boys carrying p or x allele should pay more attention to their bone mass.

Hyperuricemia (HUA) is characterized by elevated levels of uric acid (UA) in the bloodstream， resulting from either excessive production or insufficient excretion of UA within the body. If left untreated， progressive or persistent HUA can lead to gout， causing significant harm to human health. Lactic acid bacteria (LAB)， generally recognized as safe (GRAS) probiotics， have been shown to alleviate symptoms associated with gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease while supporting overall bodily functions and health. Recently， LAB has emerged as a potentially safe， cost-effective and efficient treatment for HUA. This comprehensive review aims to explore the current literature on the mechanisms through which LAB controls HUA. These mechanisms include suppressing purine metabolism， absorbing purine compounds， modulating microbiota to maintain host global purine homeostasis， reducing intestinal permeability， producing metabolites that alleviate HUA symptoms， promoting the expression of urate excretory proteins and inhibiting the expression of urate reabsorption proteins. The findings presented in this review provide a framework for further investigation into how probiotic LAB can alleviate HUA by influencing UA metabolism and elucidating their underlying action mechanisms.

BACKGROUND Extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma(EES)is a rare and highly malignant small round cell tumor associated with a poor clinical *** sarcoma(ES)involving the stomach is an uncommon presentation and can be easily confused with other small round cell *** herein present a rare case of ES involving the gastric *** SUMMARY We report a case of gastric ES in a 19-year-old female patient who initially presented with a complaint of a tender epigastric mass for 5 ***-enhanced abdominal computed tomography revealed a soft-tissue-density mass with a diameter of 8.5 cm between the liver and stomach;the mass was connected to the gastric ***,the mass was surgically excised *** histopathological,immunophenotype and molecular analysis,the mass was identified to be a primary gastric *** EES is an aggressive tumor with poor ***,early diagnosis and timely intervention are essential for a good *** is imperative for us to raise awareness about this rare *** resection is still the best treatment option.
