BACKGROUND Insulin autoimmune syndrome(IAS)is a severe manifestation of spontaneous *** is characterized by elevated levels of immune-reactive insulin and highly potent insulin autoantibodies(IAAs),which are induced by endogenous insulin circulating in the *** is distinguished by recurring instances of spontaneous hypoglycemia,the presence of IAA within the body,a substantial elevation in serum insulin levels,and an absence of prior exogenous insulin ***,recent studies show that both conventional insulin and its analogs can induce IAS episodes,giving rise to the notion of nonclassical ***,more attention should be paid to these *** SUMMARY In this case report,we present a rare case of non-classical IAS in an 83-year-old male patient who present with symptoms of a psychiatric *** symptom onset,the patient exhibited Whipple's triad(including hypoglycemia,blood glucose level less than 2.8 mmol/L during onset,and rapid relief of hypoglycemic symptoms after glucose administration).Concurrently,his serum insulin level was significantly elevated,which contradicted his C-peptide *** a comprehensive examination,the patient was diagnosed with exogenous insulin autoimmune *** that the patient had type 2 diabetes mellitus and a history of exogenous insulin use before disease onset,it was presumed that non classical IAS was induced by this *** PubMed database was used to search for previous cases of IAS and non-classical IAS to analyze their characteristics and treatment *** The occurrence of non-classical IAS is associated with exogenous insulin or its analogs,as well as with sulfhydryl *** can be effectively alleviated through the discontinuation of relevant medications,administration of hormones or immunosuppressants,plasma exchange,and lifestyle adjustments.

Photoacoustic agents combining photodynamic therapy(PDT) and photothermal therapy(PTT) functions have emerged as potent theranostic agents for combating cancer. The molecular approaches for enhancing the near-infrared(NIR)-absorption and maximizing non-radiative energy transfer are essential for effective photoacoustic imaging(PAI) and therapy applications. In addition, such molecules with high specificity and affinity to cancer cells are urgently needed, which would further decrease the side effect during treatments. In this study, we applied a heavy-atom engineering strategy and introduced p-aminophenol,-thio, and-seleno moieties into NIR heptamethine cyanine(Cy7) skeleton(Cy7-X-NH_(2), X = O, S, Se) to significantly increase photothermal conversion efficiency for PTT and promote intersystem crossing for ***, we designed a series of nitroreductase(NTR)-activated photoacoustic probes(Cy7-X-NO_(2),X = O, S, Se), and target hypoxic tumors with NTR overexpression. Our prostate cancer targeting probe,Cy7-Se-NO_(2)-KUE, exhibited specific tumor photoacoustic signals and effective tumor killing through outstanding synergistic PTT/PDT in vivo. These findings highlighted a versatile strategy for cancer photoacoustic diagnosis and enhanced phototherapy.

Extriangulated categories were introduced by Nakaoka and Palu, which unify exact categories and extension-closed subcategories of triangulated categories. In this paper, we develop the relative homology aspect of Auslander bijection in extriangulated categories. Namely, we introduce the notion of generalized ARS-duality relative to an additive subfunctor, and prove that there is a bijective triangle which involves the generalized ARS-duality and the restricted Auslander bijection relative to the subfunctor. We give the Auslander’s defect formula in terms of the generalized ARS-duality, show the interplay of morphisms being determined by objects and a kind of extriangles, and characterize a class of objects which are somehow controlled by this kind of extriangles. We also give a realization for a functor relating the Auslander bijection and the generalized ARS-duality.

BACKGROUND Frey syndrome,also known as ototemporal nerve syndrome or gustatory sweating syndrome,is one of the most common complications of parotid gland *** condition is characterized by abnormal sensations in the facial skin accompanied by episodes of flushing and sweating triggered by cognitive processes,visual stimuli,or *** To investigate the preventive effect of acellular dermal matrix(ADM)on Frey syndrome after parotid tumor resection and analyzed the effects of Frey syndrome across various surgical methods and other factors involved in parotid tumor *** Retrospective data from 82 patients were analyzed to assess the correlation between sex,age,resection sample size,operation time,operation mode,ADM usage,and occurrence of postoperative Frey *** Among the 82 patients,the incidence of Frey syndrome was 56.1%.There were no significant differences in sex,age,or operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).However,there was a significant difference between ADM implantation and occurrence of Frey syndrome(P<0.05).ADM application could reduce the variation in the incidence of Frey syndrome across different operation *** ADM can effectively prevent Frey syndrome and delay its onset.

The anodic oxygen evolution reaction is a well-acknowledged side reaction in traditional aqueous electrochemiluminescence(ECL) systems due to the generation and surface aggregation of oxygen at the electrode, which detrimentally impacts the stability and efficiency of ECL emission. However, the effect of reactive oxygen species generated during water oxidation on ECL luminophores has been largely overlooked. Taking the typical luminol emitter as an example, herein, we employed NiIr single-atom alloy aerogels possessing efficient water oxidation activity as a prototype co-reaction accelerator to elucidate the relationship between ECL behavior and water oxidation reaction kinetics for the first time. By regulating the concentration of hydroxide ions in the electrolyte, the electrochemical oxidation processes of both luminol and water are finely tuned. When the concentration of hydroxide ions in electrolyte is low,the kinetics of water oxidation is attenuated, which limits the generation of oxygen, effectively mitigates the influence of oxygen accumulation on the ECL strength, and offers a novel perspective for harnessing side reactions in ECL systems. Finally, a sensitive and stable sensor for antioxidant detection was constructed and applied to the practical sample detection.
