In recent decades,fog computing has played a vital role in executing parallel computational tasks,specifically,scientific workflow *** cloud data centers,fog computing takes more time to run workflow ***,it is essential to develop effective models for Virtual Machine(VM)allocation and task scheduling in fog computing *** task scheduling,VM migration,and allocation,altogether optimize the use of computational resources across different fog *** process ensures that the tasks are executed with minimal energy consumption,which reduces the chances of resource *** this manuscript,the proposed framework comprises two phases:(i)effective task scheduling using a fractional selectivity approach and(ii)VM allocation by proposing an algorithm by the name of Fitness Sharing Chaotic Particle Swarm Optimization(FSCPSO).The proposed FSCPSO algorithm integrates the concepts of chaos theory and fitness sharing that effectively balance both global exploration and local *** balance enables the use of a wide range of solutions that leads to minimal total cost and makespan,in comparison to other traditional optimization *** FSCPSO algorithm’s performance is analyzed using six evaluation measures namely,Load Balancing Level(LBL),Average Resource Utilization(ARU),total cost,makespan,energy consumption,and response *** relation to the conventional optimization algorithms,the FSCPSO algorithm achieves a higher LBL of 39.12%,ARU of 58.15%,a minimal total cost of 1175,and a makespan of 85.87 ms,particularly when evaluated for 50 tasks.

Surgical resection and neoadjuvant therapy in patients with gastric cancer and ovarian metastasis: A real-world study

Research on thermal insulation materials properties under HTHP conditions for deep oil and gas reservoir rock ITP-Coring

Deep oil and gas reservoirs are under high-temperature conditions, but traditional coring methods do not consider temperature-preserved measures and ignore the influence of temperature on rock porosity and permeability, resulting in distorted resource assessments. The development of in situ temperaturepreserved coring(ITP-Coring) technology for deep reservoir rock is urgent, and thermal insulation materials are key. Therefore, hollow glass microsphere/epoxy resin thermal insulation materials(HGM/EP materials) were proposed as thermal insulation materials. The materials properties under coupled hightemperature and high-pressure(HTHP) conditions were tested. The results indicated that high pressures led to HGM destruction and that the materials water absorption significantly increased; additionally,increasing temperature accelerated the process. High temperatures directly caused the thermal conductivity of the materials to increase; additionally, the thermal conduction and convection of water caused by high pressures led to an exponential increase in the thermal conductivity. High temperatures weakened the matrix, and high pressures destroyed the HGM, which resulted in a decrease in the tensile mechanical properties of the materials. The materials entered the high elastic state at 150.C, and the mechanical properties were weakened more obviously, while the pressure led to a significant effect when the water absorption was above 10%. Meanwhile, the tensile strength/strain were 13.62 MPa/1.3%and 6.09 MPa/0.86% at 100.C and 100 MPa, respectively, which meet the application requirements of the self-designed coring device. Finally, K46-f40 and K46-f50 HGM/EP materials were proven to be suitable for ITP-Coring under coupled conditions below 100.C and 100 MPa. A Corpus-Based Comparative Multidimensional Analysis of the Two English Translations of Luoyang Jialan Ji

By using the MD approach, this study aims at making a comparison between the lexical features in W. J. F. Jenner’s and Wang Yitong’s translations of Luoyang Jialan Ji (547 AD) from a multidimensional perspective. Statistics show that both the two translations belong to the General Narrative Exposition Register. However, there are significant discrepancies between the two versions in Dimension 1 “Involved versus Informational Production”, Dimension 4 “Overt Expression of Persuasion” and Dimension 5 “Abstract versus Non-Abstract Information”. The differences in Dimension 2 “Narrative versus Non-Narrative Concerns” and Dimension 3 “Explicit versus Situation-Dependent Reference” are not that significant. It is found that in Dimension 1, the information density of Wang’s version is much higher than that of Jenner’s. In Dimension 4, Wang’s version contains more overt persuasive effort than Jenner’s. In Dimension 5, the positive and negative contrast between the two versions indicates that Wang’s version provides information in a more abstract way, whereas Jenner’s in a relatively non-abstract way. Combined with typical examples in the two translation versions, this study is hoped to help better understand the translations of Luoyang Jialan Ji and conduct future studies on the translation styles of the two translators.

A Polarization Control Operator for Polarized Electromagnetic Wave Designing

To describe and control the polarization state of electromagnetic waves, a polarization control operator of the complex vector form is proposed. Distinct from traditional descriptors, the proposed operator employs an angle parameter to configure the polarization state of the polarized wave. By setting the parameter in the proposed operator,the amplitude of the field components can be modified, resulting in changes in the magnitude and direction of the field vector, and thus realizing control of the polarization state of the electromagnetic wave. The physical meaning,orthogonal decomposition, and discrete property of the proposed operator are demonstrated through mathematical derivation. In the simulation examples, the polarization control operator with fixed and time-varying parameters is applied to the circularly polarized wave. The propagation waveform, the trajectory projection and the waveform cross section in different reception directions of the new electromagnetic waves are observed. The simulation results indicate that complex electromagnetic waves with more flexible polarization states can be obtained with the aid of the polarization operator.

Immunomodulatory Function of Pien Tze Huang in T Cell-Mediated Anti-tumor Activity against B16-F10,MC38 and Hep1-6 Tumor Models

Objective To investigate the anti-tumor effects of Pien Tze Huang(PZH)in mouse models of B16–F10 melanoma,MC38 colorectal cancer,Hep1-6 hepatocellular carcinoma and chemically induced hepatocellular carcinoma *** Various tumor models,including B16–F10,MC38 and Hep1-6 tumor hypodermic inoculation models,B16–F10 and Hep1-6 pulmonary metastasis models,Hep1-6 orthotopic implantation model,and chemically induced hepatocellular carcinoma model,were utilized to evaluate the anti-tumor function of *** growth was assessed by measuring tumor size and weight of solid tumors isolated from C57BL/6 *** cell proliferation and death of tumor cells in vitro,as well as T cell activation markers,cytokine production and immune checkpoints analysis,single-cell suspensions were prepared from mouse spleen,lymph nodes,and tumors after PZH *** PZH demonstrated significant therapeutic efficacy in inhibiting tumor growth(P0.05).Nevertheless,PZH exhibited a remarkable ability to enhance T cell activation and the production of interferon gamma,tumor necrosis factor alpha,and interleukin 2 in CD4^(+)T cells in vitro(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Importantly,PZH substantially inhibited T cell exhaustion and boosted cytokine production by tumor-infiltrating CD8^(+)T cells(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion This study has confirmed a novel immunomodulatory function of PZH in T cell-mediated anti-tumor immunity,indicating that PZH holds promise as a potential therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.

“刑徒从军”,即动用刑徒直接参与军事行动或屯垦戍边活动,乃秦汉时期军事动员制度的一大特色。汉初至武帝,刑徒作为补充兵力主要被用作平叛,乃紧急情况下的权宜之计;“施刑士”产生于昭帝初期,后被重点用于屯田,在居延、河湟及西域屯田中扮演着重要角色,为汉王朝经营河西、平定羌乱及维护西域稳定发挥了积极作用;“施刑士”还作为“长罗侯军”的主体参与西域战事并参与塞外“海廉渠”的修建。“施刑士”政策既是汉代罪人役使政策的一次重要调整,也是后武帝时代解决西北边疆开发过程中劳动力不足问题的一次有益探索。
