The energy storage system(ESS)as a demand-side management(DSM)resource can effectively smooth the load power fluctuation of a power ***,designing a more reasonable ESS operational strategy will be a prerequisite before incorporating the energy storage device into *** different load levels have different demands for the real-time chargedischarge power of an ESS,this paper proposes a heuristic ESS operation scheduling strategy which can take into account the electrical load demand *** this paper,firstly,two demand degree concepts for charging power and discharging power are defined to describe the differentiated ESS demand under the condition of different electrical load ***,an inverse proportion technique based ESS scheduling strategy,with the consideration of the load demand difference,is proposed in this ***,some evaluating indices are defined in this paper for describing the influence of the proposed strategy on the smoothing degree of the daily load ***,several case studies are designed to verify the validity and correctness of the proposed technique,and the results show that the proposed technique can effectively smooth the load curve and improve the ability of peak shaving and valley filling.

The separation of rutile from apatite by flotation and the mechanism of depressing the apatite of sodium hexametaphosphate were studied. The results showed that rutile and apatite could be separated by using alkyl-imino-bismethylene phosphoric acid and sodium hexametaphosphate as a collector and a regulator, respectively. Sodium hexametaphosphate could selectively dissolve calcium ions on the apatite surface, and make calcium ions break away from lattice binding through combining.

While the traditional geometric design community focuses on the design of curves and surfaces, the advent of isogeometric analysis (IGA)[1] has made the development of methods for designing trivariate B-spline solids (TBSs) imperative. In IGA, a valid TBS should have a positive Jacobian value at every point in its domain. A negative Jacobian value at any point in the domain of the TBS can render the IGA invalid.

Road dust is one of the most common pollutants and causes a series of negative effects on plant physiology. Dust＇s impacts on plants can be regarded as a combination of load,composition and grain size impacts on plants; however, there is a lack of integrated dust effect studies involving these three aspects. In our study, Sophora japonica seedlings were artificially dusted with road dust collected from the road surface of Beijing so that we could study the impacts of this dust on nitrogen/carbon allocation, biomass allocation and photosynthetic pigments from the three aspects of composition, load and grain size. The results showed that the growth characteristics of S. japonica seedlings were mostly influenced by dust composition and load. Leaf N, root–shoot ratio and chlorophyll a/b were significantly affected by dust composition and load; leaf C/N, shoot biomass, total chlorophyll and carotenoid were significantly affected by dust load; stem N and stem C/N were significantly affected by dust composition; while the dust grain size alone did not affect any of the growth characteristics. Road dust did influence the growth characteristics more extensively than loam. Therefore, a higher dust load could increase the differences between road dust and loam treatments. The elements in dust are well correlated to the shoot N, shoot C/N, and root–shoot ratio of S. japonica seedlings. This knowledge could benefit the management of urban green spaces.

The 2014 magnitude 6.5 Ludian earthquake caused a death toll of 617, many landslides and tens of thousands of collapsed buildings. A field investigation to evaluate the damage to buildings was carried out immediately after the occurrence of the earthquake. Severely damaged aseismic buildings, which were basically observed in the downtown of Longtoushan Town, were carefully examined one by one with the aim to improve design codes. This paper summarizes the damage observed to the investigated aseismic buildings in both the structural and local levels. A common failure mode was observed that most of the aseismic buildings, such as RC frame structures and confined masonry structures, were similarly destroyed by severe damage or complete collapse of the first story. The related strong ground motion, which was recorded at the nearby station, had a short duration of less than 20 s but a very large PGA up to 1.0 g. The RC frames based on the new design codes still failed to achieve the design target for ＂strong column, weak beam＂. Typical local failure details, which were related to the interaction between RC columns and infill walls and between constructional columns and masonry walls, are summarized with preliminary analyses.

TRIP980 high-strength steel plate/SPCC low-carbon steel plate were welded by RPW. The key factors such as size and material of filler were studied, and the structure, fusion ratio and mechanical properties of the RPW joint were analyzed. The experimental results show that the calculation formulas of the length and diameter of the filler were designed reasonably. Q235 as a filler for RPW of TRIP980 high-strength steel plate/SPCC low-carbon steel plate is suitable according to schaeffler organization chart. The deposited metal of RPW joint is in the shape of “spool”,and the base metal and cap of deposited metal are alternately combined. The deposited metal has the characteristics of “locking” as rivets, which is beneficial to the improvement of mechanical properties of RPW joint. The nugget of RPW joint is uniform without deviates. TRIP980 high-strength steel plate, SPCC low-carbon steel plate, and filler were metallurgically bonded in the RPW joint.

DNA replication initiation is a complex process involving various genetic and epigenomic *** correct identification of replication origins(ORIs)could provide important clues for the study of a variety of diseases caused by ***,we design a computational approach named iORI-Epi to recognize ORis by incorporating epigenome-based features,sequencebased features,and 3D genome-based *** iORI-Epi displays excellent robustness and generalization ability on both training datasets and independent datasets of K562 cell *** experiments confrm that iORI-Epi is highly scalable in other cell lines(MCF7 and HCT116).We also analyze and clarify the regulatory role of epigenomic marks,DNA motifs,and chromatin interaction in DNA replication initiation of eukaryotic ***,we discuss gene enrichment pathways from the perspective of ORIs in different replication timing states and heuristically dissect the effect of promoters on replication *** computational methodology is worth extending to ORI identification in other eukaryotic species.

We report in this paper the alignment calibration of the STAR pixel detector(PXL) prototype for the RHIC2013 run and performance study of the full PXL detector installed and commissioned in the RHIC 2014 run. PXL detector is the innermost two silicon layers of the STAR heavy flavor tracker aiming at high-precision reconstruction of secondary decay vertex of heavy flavor particles. To achieve the physics goals, the calibration work was done on the detector with high precision. A histogram-based method was successfully applied for the alignment calibration, and the detector efficiency after alignment was studied using both p t p collision data and cosmic ray data.

In this paper,we study how information transmission delays affect the spiking behavior of electrically coupled stochastic Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) neurons on Newman-Watts *** is found that the spiking behavior becomes the most regular at an optimal time delay,indicating the occurrence of delay-induced coherence resonance-like (CR-like) ***,there are different CR-like types,depending on the membrane patch size of the *** a smaller patch size,only single CR-like behavior occurs;while for a larger patch size,coherence bi-resonance-like (CBR) behavior *** findings show that the delay-induced CR-like behavior is closely related to the channel noise strength,and the coupled neurons may exhibit different spiking behaviors under the interplay of the channel noise and time ***,the channel noise should be taken into account in the study of time delay-related spiking activity in stochastic HH *** work provides new insight into the role of channel noise and information transmission delays in realistic neural systems.
