Two novel quadrupolar organic compounds, 3-(4-((E)-2.(9-butyl-9H-carbazol-6-yl) vinyl)styryl)-9-propyl-9H-carbazole (BCSPC) and 3-(3-(3-((1.)-2.(4-((E)-2.(3-(3,5-bis(9-butyl-9H-carbazol-6-yl)phenyl)-9-butyl-9H-carbazol-6-yl)vinyl)phenyl) vinyl)-9-butyl-9H-carbazol-6-yl)-5-(9-butyl-9H-carbazol-6-yl)phenyl)-9-butyl-9H-carbazole (BCPBC), with different conjugated arms, have been designed and synthesized. Their one-and two-photon absorption (TPA) and excited fluorescence properties have been experimentally investigated. The two-photon absorption cross-sections of two compounds were estimated by two-photon excited fluorescence technique using 2.0 fs, 76 MHz, Ti:sapphire laser, which are 2. and 1.4 GM for BCSPC and BCPBC, respectively. The optimal excitation wavelengths are 780 nm for both BCSPC and BCPBC. A data recording experiment proved the potential application of the materials.

The time-dependence bilinear mixed-regression deformation model and time-dependence bilinear dynamic system deformation model are established for deformation observation series. According to the multi- level recursive method, the time-dependence parameters are first traced and predicted, and then the dynamic system states. Due to the method considering time-dependence of deformation and having stronger adaptability to time-dependence system, it can improve forecast’s precision. It is very effective for data processing of nonlinear dynamic deformation monitoring to make multi-step forecasting.

The issue on water environmental degradation in the source area of the Yellow River has been one of very serious ecological and socially economic problems. The temporal-spatial changes of water environment led to the decreasing of land capacity and river disconnecting. The status of water environmental degradation in this paper was analyzed based on the data and field investigation. The results indicated that the surface water area in the region has obviously decreased owing to the climate changes and human irrational use of water resources and the continuous lowering of the regional groundwater table and the steadily decreasing tendency of the flow rate in the source areas of the Yellow River.

Pulsed thermography(PT) as a non-contact non-destructive evaluation(NDE) technique was employed to examine as-sprayed air plasma spray(APS) thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) for quality *** and micro-structural characteristics play a vital role in determining the *** this paper,PT logarithmic peak second-derivative method was adopted to measure the thickness of top *** dependent thermal images were used to characterize the microstructure which was confirmed by scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results showed that there was relationship between the temperature distribution of the surface and microstructure change in *** distribution in thermal images and measurement results of thickness were in fairly good agreement with the microstructure *** can be concluded that it was possible to employ these NDE methods as quality evaluation for as-sprayed TBCs.

Optical waveguides in linbO_3 and stoichiometric linbO_3 crystals by proton exchange

The formation of optical planar waveguides in linbO3 and stoichiometric linbO3 crystals by proton exchange was reported. The prism-coupling method was used to characterize the dark-line spectroscopy at the wavelength of 633 and 1.39 nm, re-spectively. The mode optical near-field outputs from proton-exchanged linbO3 and SLN waveguides at 633 nm were presented. The mode field from stoichiometric linbO3 (SLN) waveguide is lighter and more uniform than that from linbO3 waveguide, which means the quality of the waveguide in SLN crystal is better than that of the linbO3 waveguide. For proton-exchanged linbO3 waveguides, the evo-lution of the refractive index profile with annealing was presented. The disorder profiles of Nb atoms in proton-exchanged linbO3 waveguides were obtained by Rutherford backscattering/channeling technique. It is shown that the longer the exchange time, the larger the displacement of Nb atoms.

Effect of physiological heterogeneity of E. coli population on antibiotic susceptivity test

According to the instantaneous growth rate (dN/dt) of E. coli CVCC2.9 growing in batch culture, the entire growth progress was distinguished into four phases: accelerating growth phase, constant growth phase, decelerating growth phase; declining phase, in each of which obvious variation in physiological; biochemical properties was detected, including total DNA, total protein,; MTT-dehydrogenase activity, etc., that led to difference in their antibiotic susceptivity. Antibiotic susceptivity of the population sampled from each phase was tested by Concentration-killing Curve (CKC) approach following the formula N=N 0/{2.exp[r·(x-BC 50)]}, showing as normal distribution at the individual cell level for an internal population, in which the median bactericidal concentration BC 50 represents the mean level of susceptivity, while the bactericidal span BC 1.9=(2.nN 0)/r indicates the variation degree of the antibiotic susceptivity. Furthermore, tested by CKC approach, the antibiotic susceptivity of E. coli CVCC2.9 population in each physiological phase to gentamicin or enoxacin was various: susceptivity of the population in the constant growth phase; declining phase all increased compared with that in the accelerating growth phase for gentamicin but declined for enoxacin. The primary investigations revealed that the physiological phase should be taken into account in the context of antibiotic susceptivity; research into antimicrobial mechanism. However there are few reports concerned with this study. Further research using different kinds of antibiotics with synchronized continuous culture of different bacterial strains is required.

In this paper we propose an optimized seam-carving approach for anti-shearing image *** image/video seam-carving strategy only focuses on deleting the pixels along 8-connected seams,which may lead to the obvious information loss during *** the traditional seam-carving methods,our approach can construct a seamlet to handle the discontinuous pixels and further achieve an optimized image resizing results with *** particular,to suppress zigzag artifacts,we introduce the anti-shearing energy into the seamlet generation,which includes two steps:1. the energy map is formalized by using Gabor filtering and the saliency map;2. The energy computation is optimized in Gabor feature space to obtain the resizing results without the connectivity *** experimental results and comparisons show the effectiveness of our method.

Extraction of LUCC with different methods and threshold value

The research of land use and land cover (LUCC) is an important aspect in the global change research. The goal of this study is to find methods of extraction of LUCC’s change outlined and change type from remotely sensed data. Take the country of Fengxian in Shanghai as an example, it was supposed two steps to finish extraction of LUCC information: the first step was to use different methods, which is used to outline change areas; the second step include methods of false composing of two-temporal and threshold value. Through combining two methods, a model rule is built and the LUCC product is obtained, four kinds of change type within the study area are given, and the results are obvious. Finally, the results support the application of the high resolution image and tasseled cap composition (greenness and wetness) in the specific regional too.

The oxalato-bridged dicopper(II) complexes [Cu2.μ-ox)(LRR)2.H2.)2.ClO4)2. (1.,[Cu2.μ-ox)(LRR)2.CH3COCH3)2.ClO4)2.(1.),[Cu2.μ-ox)(LSS)2.H2.)2.ClO4)2. (2. and [Cu2.μ-ox)(LRR)(LSS)2.CH3COCH3)2.ClO4)2. (3) [LRR = (8R,1.R)-(-)-[4,5]-pineno2.2.-bipyridine,LSS = (8S,1.S)-(+)-[4,5]-pineno-2.2.-bipyridine;ox2. oxalate] were first prepared.A possible mechanism for the formation of the chial dicopper(II) complexes was *** on elemental analysis,conductance measurement,UV-Vis spectra,CD spectra and X-ray single-crystal diffraction,the oxalato-bridged structures of 1.and 2.were deduced to adopt two Cu(II) ions and the bridged oxalate lying in the nearly same *** crystal structures of 1. and 3 reveal that the coordination geometry around each Cu(II) ion is an elongated and distorted octahedron and two axial solvent molecules and two perchlorate ions are anti to each other respectively in both binuclear *** solution CD spectra of 1.and 2.in the visible d-d range show very weak Cotton effects with peaks at 588 and 779 nm,which are approximately of mirror image,suggesting the optical activities may be derived from the vicinal effects of the chiragenic centers at the pinene group of LRR and LSS,*** 1.has been characterized by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility and the data was least-square fitted to the Blenaey-Bowers *** exchange integral J was found to be -338.41.4) cm-1.indicating a strong antiferromagnetic interaction between two copper(II) ions.
