A new approach for vehicle detection is proposed in this ***,fast wavelet transform(FWT)designed for discrete signal is proposed to extract image texture,while grey level co-occurrence matrix(GLCM)is employed to measure and analyze the extracted ***,vehicles can be extracted since the vehicle sections and the shadow sections have different textures in the combined foreground ***,we put forward in this work the state and observation matrixes of Kalman filter which has been employed to track vehicles under complicated traffic *** results in real traffic scenes reveal that the proposed techniques are effective and efficient for vehicle detection and tracking.

BACKGROUND Although acute pancreatitis associated with hyperparathyroidism has occasionally been reported,acute pancreatitis with metabolic encephalopathy caused by hyperparathyroidism combined with paraneoplastic syndrome is an extremely rare entity and poorly described in the *** SUMMARY We present a case of a 56-year-old female with upper abdominal discomfort and intermittent nausea and vomiting for 1 wk,without apparent abdominal pain or bloating,no jaundice and decreased blood pressure at the *** patient was ultimately diagnosed with moderately severe acute pancreatitis(according to the revised Atlanta classification of acute pancreatitis)combined with metabolic encephalopathy secondary to hypercalcemia caused by primary hyperparathyroidism associated with paraneoplastic *** active treatment of acute pancreatitis,massive fluid resuscitation,resection of parathyroid and uterine malignant tumors,neoadjuvant chemotherapy and other treatments,her serum calcium eventually returned to the normal *** patient was successfully discharged from *** This is the first case of acute pancreatitis caused by primary hyperparathyroidism associated with paraneoplastic syndrome.

This study aims to discriminate between leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1(LGI1)antibody encephalitis and gammaaminobutyric acid B(GABAB)receptor antibody encephalitis using a convolutional neural network(CNN)model.A total of 81 patients were recruited for this ***18,VGG16,and ResNet50 were trained and tested separately using 3828 positron emission tomography image slices that contained the medial temporal lobe(MTL)or basal ganglia(BG).Leave-one-out cross-validation at the patient level was used to evaluate the CNN *** receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and the area under the ROC curve(AUC)were generated to evaluate the CNN *** on the prediction results at slice level,a decision strategy was employed to evaluate the CNN models’performance at patient *** ResNet18 model achieved the best performance at the slice(AUC=0.86,accuracy=80.28%)and patient levels(AUC=0.98,accuracy=96.30%).Specifically,at the slice level,73.28%(1445/1972)of image slices with GABAB receptor antibody encephalitis and 87.72%(1628/1856)of image slices with LGI1 antibody encephalitis were accurately *** the patient level,94.12%(16/17)of patients with GABAB receptor antibody encephalitis and 96.88%(62/64)of patients with LGI1 antibody encephalitis were accurately *** of the image slices extracted using gradient-weighted class activation mapping indicated that the model focused on the MTL and BG for *** general,the ResNet18 model is a potential approach for discriminating between LGI1 and GABAB receptor antibody *** in the MTL and BG is important for discriminating between these two encephalitis subtypes.

Traditional laparoscopic radical prostatectomy is a treatment choice in many developing countries and regions for most patients with localized prostate cancer; however, no system for predicting surgical difficulty and risk has been established. This study aimed to propose a simple and standard preoperative classification system of prostate cancer using preoperative data to predict surgical difficulty and risk and to evaluate the relationship between the data and postoperative complications. We collected data from 236 patients and divided them into three groups to evaluate and validate the relationships among preoperative, operative, and postoperative data. This new scoring system is based on the body mass index, ultrasonic prostate volume, preoperative prostate-specific antigen level, middle lobe protrusion, and clinical stage. In the scoring group, we classified 89 patients into two groups： the low-risk group （score of 〈4） and high-risk group （score of ~4）, and then compared the postoperative data between the two groups. The positive surgical margin rate was higher in the high-risk group than low-risk group. The results in validation Groups A and B were similar to those in the scoring group. The focus of our scoring system is to allow for preliminary assessment of surgical difficulty by collecting the patients＇ basic information. Urologists can easily use the scoring system to evaluate the surgical difficulty and predict the risks of a positive surgical margin and urinary incontinence in patients undergoing laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.
