Depression is a common,recurrent mental disorder and one of the leading causes of disability and global burden of disease *** to 15%-40%of cases do not respond to diverse pharmacological treatments and,thus,can be defined as treatment-resistant depression(TRD).The development of biomarkers predictive of drug response could guide us towards personalized and earlier *** evidence points to the involvement of the glutamatergic system in the pathogenesis of ***,the N-methyl-D-aspartic acid receptor(NMDAR)andα-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid receptor(AMPAR),which are targeted by ketamine and esketamine,are proposed as promising pathways.A literature search was performed to identify studies on the genetics of the glutamatergic system in depression,focused on variables related to NMDARs and *** review highlights GRIN2B,which encodes the NR2B subunit of NMDAR,as a candidate gene in the pathogenesis of *** addition,several studies have associated genes encoding AMPAR subunits with symptomatic severity and suicidal *** genes encoding glutamatergic receptors could,therefore,be candidate genes for understanding the etiopathogenesis of TRD,as well as for understanding the pharmacodynamic mechanisms and response to ketamine and esketamine treatment.

This paper deals with a stochastic representation of the rainfall process. The analysis of a rainfall time series shows that cumulative representation of a rainfall time series can be modeled as a non-Gaussian random walk with a log-normal jump distribution and a time-waiting distribution following a tempered a-stable probability law. Based on the random walk model, a fractional Fokker-Planck equation （FFPE） with tempered a-stable waiting times was obtained. Through the comparison of observed data and simulated results from the random walk model and FFPE model with tempered a-stable waiting times, it can be concluded that the behavior of the rainfall process is globally reproduced, and the FFPE model with tempered a-stable waiting times is more efficient in reproducing the observed behavior.

介绍了西班牙在高放废物深地质处置中用于缓冲回填材料的泥岩的筛选及其特性的研究成果,这项研究在西班牙核废料管理委员会资助下进行,始于 20 世纪 80 年代,且在开始阶段主要是开展泥岩沉积层及黏土供应商的筛选工作。黏土这些特性与标准已被国际社会广泛接受,但进一步的研究主要涉及到泥岩的矿物纯度、持水特性、可塑性、低渗透性、较高的膨胀压力和热导性。经初步研究,确定两种膨润土沉积层被选中,并在实验室中对其特性进行了研究,主要包括:热–水–力特性的确定、预加热和温度的影响以及石英添加剂的作用。由于膨润土具有较高的膨胀性以及低渗透性,因而必须对传统的试验技术进行改进,并设计出新的试验设备。最终确定Cortijo de Archidona(Almería)选为西班牙膨润土的供应区,其开采的膨润土已在近期结束的数个研究课题中得到了应用。无论是从矿物学、热学、水力学、力学和地质化学,还是从可变性等方面看来,该区膨润土的特性都是最好的;另外,处置库中膨润土的变化特征在实验室以及现场都已经作了相应的研究。

Background:The grazing behaviour of herbivores and their grazing personalities might in part be determined genetically,but there are few studies in beef cattle illustrating *** this study,we investigated for first time the genetic variation within a candidate‘grazing gene',the glutamate metabotropic receptor 5 gene(GRM5),and tested associations between variation in that gene and variation in grazing personality behaviours(GP-behaviours)displayed by free-ranging cows during winter grazing in the steep and rugged rangelands of New *** beef cows(n=303,from 3 to 10 years of age)were tracked with global positioning system(GPS)and,with 5-minutes(min)relocation frequency,various GP-behaviours were *** included horizontal and vertical distances travelled,mean elevation,elevation range,elevation gain,slope,home range and movement tortuosity,variously calculated using daily relocation trajectories with repeated measurements(i.e.,7 to 24 days(d))and satellite-derived digital elevation models(DEM).The different GP-behaviours were fitted into mixed models to ascertain their associations with variant sequences and genotypes of ***:We discovered three GRM5 variants(A,B and C)and identified the six possible genotypes in the cattle *** mixed models revealed that A was significantly associated with elevation range,home range and movement ***,GRM5 genotypes were associated(P<0.05)to home range and movement tortuosity,while trends suggesting association(P<0.1)were also revealed for elevation range and horizontal distance *** GP-behaviour models were improved by correcting for cow age-class as a fixed *** analysis of GP-behaviours averaged per cow age-class suggests that grazing personality is fully established as beef cows reached 4 years of *** range and movement tortuosity were not only associated with GRM5 variation,but also negatively correlated with each other(r=-0.27,P<0.001).Conclusions:There se

AIM: To evaluate insulin resistance, cytolysis and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) score (NAS) using the Kleiner and Brunt criteria in 54 patients with NASH and mild-to-moderate hypertension, treated with telmisartan vs valsartan for 20 mo. METHODS: All patients met the NCEP-ATP TM(standard dose 20 mg o.d., n = 28). Treatment had to be taken daily at the same hour with no concomitant medication or alcohol consumption allowed. Neither the patient nor the medical staff was aware of treatment group allocation. Paired liver biopsies obtained at inclusion (visit 1) and end of treatment (EOT) were assessed by a single blinded pathologist, not aware of patient or treatment group. Blood pressure, BMI, ALT, AST, HOMA-IR, plasma triglycerides (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) were evaluated at inclusion and every 4 mo until EOT (visit 6). RESULTS: At EOT we noticed a significant decrease in ALT levels vs inclusion in all patients and this decrease did not differ significantly in group T vs group V. HOMA-IR significantly decreased at EOT vs inclusion in all patients but in group T, the mean HOMA-IR decrease per month was higher than in group V. NAS significantly diminished at EOT in all patients with a higher decrease in group T vs group V. CONCLUSION: Angiotensin receptor blockers seem to be efficient in hypertension-associated NASH. Telmisartan showed a higher efficacy regarding insulin resistance and histology, perhaps because of its specific PPAR-gamma ligand effect.
