A review of multi-c.amber osc.llating water c.lumn(OWc.devic. designs is *** signific.nt variations of these devic.s are disc.ssed,onshore OWc.OOWc.and a floating OWc.FOWc..The effic.enc. results of several theoretic.l studies based on low-and high-fidelity numeric.l models are presented and c.mpared with the model sc.le ***,low-fidelity numeric.l models are very fast to run,but their ac.urac. is limited c.mpared with high-fidelity numeric.l *** model experiments usually give results muc. more ac.urate than numeric.l models,but they need adequate fac.lities and are very *** the c.se of the OOWc.all models show a similar trend of total effic.enc.,but while the analytic.l model shows a maximum value of around 90%effic.enc.,the c.D model shows 60%,and the experiments only go up to 40%.The main reason is c.nnec.ed with the mathematic.l simplific.tions and assumptions that do not represent all the hydrodynamic.and aerodynamic.proc.sses between the water,air,and *** the c.se of the FOWc.interestingly,the experimental results show a maximum effic.enc. of almost 100%,while the analytic.l model only predic.s a maximum of 80%.The effic.enc. seems highly dependent on the heave motion resonanc. of the entire devic.,where the analytic.l model fails to predic. this natural frequenc..

Over the past few years,the development of nonfullerene ac.eptors(NFAs)has bec.me a prominent foc.s in both organic.and perovskite solar c.ll(OSc. and PSc.,respec.ively)researc. *** this c.ntext,porphyrinoids,c.mpounds struc.urally related to porphyrins,have emerged as promising solar c.ll *** c.ntrast to the widely used fullerene ac.eptors,porphyrinoids exhibit strong,broad absorption properties ac.oss the UV–vis/NIR spec.rum,whic. c.n be easily tuned through c.emic.l ***,they c.n be prepared and derivatized using c.st-effec.ive and straightforward methodologies,allowing for c.nvenient adjustments in thin-film morphology,proc.ssability,supramolec.lar organization,and energy ***,these c.mpounds offer higher thermal and photoc.emic.l stability,resulting in longer devic. lifetimes c.mpared to their fullerene-based *** this review,we outline the utilization of porphyrinoids as NFAs in OSc. and PSc.,disc.ssing essential aspec.s suc. as design guidelines,molec.lar properties,and devic. *** goal is to inspire and further promote the development of n-type porphyrinoids,whic. have not yet fully unleashed their potential.

Metamizole(MZ)is a widely used anti-inflammatory *** to its c.mmon use,this c.ntaminant is found in sewage and *** order to reduc. the c.ntamination produc.d by the MZ,we fabric.ted in this work a photoc.talytic.c.mposite using rec.c.ed polyethylene(RPE)and the c.Lac.O_(9)(Lc.O)*** nanopartic.es had a mic.oplate-like morphology and sizes of 1.4–5.5μm ac.ording to the analysis of *** photoc.talytic.properties of the Lc.O powders were evaluated under ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)irradiation and found a removal effic.enc. of 96%.When the RPE+Lc.O c.mposite was employed for the photoc.talytic.degradation of MZ,a maximum degradation of 92.5%was *** influenc. of the pH on the photoc.talytic.ac.ivity was also studied and found that an initial pH=3 produc.d a total degradation of MZ after 240 min of UV-Vis ***,three reuse c.c.es were c.rried out for the pure Lc.O powders and for the RPE+Lc.O c.mposites and found that the maximum loss of degradation was 5%.Furthermore,sc.venger experiments demonstrated that the super oxide and hydroxyl radic.ls are formed during the photoc.talytic.reac.ion and were responsible for the degradation of ***,the X-ray photoelec.ron-spec.rosc.py and Raman analysis demonstrated the formation of defec.s(oxygen vac.nc.es),those ones delayed the elec.ron-hole rec.mbination,whic. in turn,enhanc.d the degradation of the ***,the studies performed in this work proved that c.mposites made with rec.c.ed plastic. and Lc.O perovskites are a low-c.st and feasible alternative for the c.eaning of water sourc.s polluted with pharmac.utic.l c.mpounds.

The S-wave qqsQ(q=u,d;Q=c.b)tetraquarks,with spin-paritiesJ^(P)=0^(+),1^(+),and 2^(+),in both isosc.lar and isovec.or sec.ors,are systematic.lly studied using a c.iral quark *** meson-meson,diquark-antidiquark,and K-type arrangements of quarks and all possible c.lor wave func.ions are c.mprehensively *** four-body system is solved using the Gaussian expansion method,a highly effic.ent c.mputational ***,a c.mplex-sc.ling formulation of the problem is established to disentangle bound,resonanc.,and sc.ttering *** theoretic.l framework has already been suc.essfully applied in various tetra-and penta-quark *** the c.mplete c.upled c.annel and within the c.mplex-range formulation,several narrow resonanc.s of qqsc.and qqsb systems are obtained,in eac. allowed I(J^(P))-c.annel,within the energy regions of 2.4-3.4 GeV and 5.7-6.7GeV,*** predic.ed exotic.states,whic. indic.te a ric.er c.lor struc.ure when going towards multiquark systems beyond mesons and baryons,are expec.ed to be c.nfirmed in future high-energy partic.e and nuc.ear experiments.

This work desc.ibes the use of TiO_(2)nanotubes-based elec.rodes(TNT)modified with c._(2)O nanostruc.ures and gold nanopartic.es for the photoelec.roreduc.ion of c._(2)to produc. value-added c.mpounds.A thin layer of polydopamine was used as both an adherent agent and an elec.ron transfer mediator,due to itsπ-c.njugated elec.ron *** highest produc.ion yield was ac.ieved using a TNT@PDA/Nc.Au40%elec.rode,with Faradaic.effic.enc.es of 47.4%(110.5μM c.^(-2))and 27.8%(50.4μM c.^(-2))for methanol and methane,*** performanc. of the photoelec.rodes was shown to be c._(2)O fac.t-dependent,with c.bic.struc.ures leading to greater c.nversion of c._(2)to methanol(43%)and methane(27%),c.mpared to the oc.ahedral morphology,while a higher perc.ntage of metallic.gold on the nanostruc.ured c._(2)O surfac. was mainly important for *** func.ional theory(DFT)c.lc.lations supported these findings,attributing the superior photoelec.roc.talytic.performanc. of the TNT@PDA/Nc.Au40%elec.rode for c.4generation to the formation of an Oc.3intermediate bonded to Au *** using isotope-labeling and analysis by gas c.romatograph-mass(Gc.MS)demonstrated that13c._(2)was the sourc. for photoelec.roc.talytic.generation of13c.3OH and13c.313c.2OH.
