Quantum walks (QW) are the quantum counterpart of classical random walks, and portray a natural stochastic process when the walker randomly wanders around. In a discretetime QW system on a circle, when the walker particle generally steps towards two directions, i.e., clockwise and anticlockwise, this kind of QW is called two-direction quantum walks on a circle (TDQWC); and the walker particle always steps towards one direction or stays stationary, this kind of QW is called as one-direction quantum walks on a circle (ODQWC).

Robust, ultra-flexible, and multifunctional MXene-basedelectromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding nanocomposite filmsexhibit enormous potential for applications in artificial intelligence,wireless telecommunication, and portable/wearable electronic *** this work, a nacre-inspired multifunctional heterocyclic aramid(HA)/MXene@polypyrrole (PPy) (HMP) nanocomposite paper withlarge-scale, high strength, super toughness, and excellent tolerance tocomplex conditions is fabricated through the strategy of HA/MXenehydrogel template-assisted in-situ assembly of PPy. Benefiting from the"brick-and-mortar" layered structure and the strong hydrogen-bondinginteractions among MXene, HA, and PPy, the paper exhibits remarkable mechanical performances, including high tensile strength (309.7 MPa),outstanding toughness (57.6 MJ m−3), exceptional foldability, and structural stability against ultrasonication. By using the template effect ofHA/MXene to guide the assembly of conductive polymers, the synthesized paper obtains excellent electronic conductivity. More importantly,the highly continuous conductive path enables the nanocomposite paper to achieve a splendid EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of 54.1 dBat an ultra-thin thickness (25.4 μm) and a high specific EMI SE of 17,204.7 dB cm2g−1. In addition, the papers also have excellent applicationsin electromagnetic protection, electro-/photothermal de-icing, thermal therapy, and fire safety. These findings broaden the ideas for developinghigh-performance and multifunctional MXene-based films with enormous application potential in EMI shielding and thermal management.

The M1/M2 phenotypic shift of microglia after spinal cord injury plays an important role in the regulation of neuroinflammation during the secondary injury phase of spinal cord *** of shifting microglia polarization from M1(neurotoxic and proinflammatory type)to M2(neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory type)after spinal cord injury appears to be *** possesses an anti-inflammatory biological ***,its roles and the underlying molecular mechanisms in spinal cord injury remain *** this study,we found that tryptanthrin inhibited microglia-derived inflammation by promoting polarization to the M2 phenotype in *** promoted M2 polarization through inactivating the cGAS/STING/NF-κB ***,we found that targeting the cGAS/STING/NF-κB pathway with tryptanthrin shifted microglia from the M1 to M2 phenotype after spinal cord injury,inhibited neuronal loss,and promoted tissue repair and functional recovery in a mouse model of spinal cord ***,using a conditional co-culture system,we found that microglia treated with tryptanthrin suppressed endoplasmic reticulum stress-related neuronal *** together,these results suggest that by targeting the cGAS/STING/NF-κB axis,tryptanthrin attenuates microglia-derived neuroinflammation and promotes functional recovery after spinal cord injury through shifting microglia polarization to the M2 phenotype.

Dear Editor, Liver transplantation(LT) is the only curative therapy for patients with endstage liver disease(He et al., 2023; Ling et al., 2022). Post-transplant hypertriglyceridemia(PTHT), which has an incidence of up to 32.8% in 6 months after LT, is one of the major post-transplant complications(Toshima et al., 2020).

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers in the world. Conventional diagnosis and treatment of this malignancy have been dismal and should be complemented by novel tools. The development and progress of HCC are believed to be caused by the accumulation of genetic changes resulting in altered expression of thousands of cancer-related genes, which can be measured by globe genetic analysis. Gene expression profiling of HCC has been employed to elucidate hepatocarcinogenesis and disclose molecular mechanisms underlying complex clinical *** phenotype-associated genes/profiles has impacts on current diagnosis and management strategy of HCC. In spite of some pitfalls of this technology and challenges in improving the research process, scrutinous validation of profiling data of HCC combined with other approaches will eventually benefit the patients.

The dust deposits in the Yangtze River Basin(YRB)have been widely distributed along the Yangtze River *** studies mainly concentrated in its provenance of each loess site,however,the differences in provenance of loess among different sites in this area have rarely been ***,the geochemical characteristics of thejiang,Xuancheng and Nanjing sites were *** result shows that the loess in Jiujiang and Nanjing sites,near Yangtze River riverway,share similar geochemical characteristics that may commonly derived from the detrital materials of Yangtze ***,both sites have significantly different elemental compositions compared with Xuancheng site,which is^60 km away from the Yangtze River *** sites share different geochemical characteristics with Eastern Qinling Mountains and Xifeng section on the Chinese Loess Plateau,North *** the distribution of the aeolian.sand hills and the loess in this area published by previous studies,we suggest that the exposed river valley floodplain caused by weak summer monsoon provided abundant materials to form local dust cells controlled by strong winter monsoon during the glacial ***,those local loess deposits should be identified as the“valley-sourced loess”.These reveal the inherent connection between the monsoon system and the loess deposits in Yangtze River Basin.

The influence of process control agents （PCAs） on the mechanical properties of Ni3AI intermetallic compounds by mechanical alloying was investigated in order to develop oxide deposition reinforced intermetallics. The PCAs in mechanical alloying were pure ligroin, 75 vol.% ligroin ＋ 25 vol.% alcohol, 50 vol.% ligroin ＋ 50 vol.% alcohol, 25 vol.% ligroin ＋ 75 vol.% alcohol, and pure alcohol. The normal composition is Ni-22.9at.%Al-0.5at.%B, the ball-to-powder weight ratio is 10：1, and the milling time is 30 min. Then, the powders were sintered by spark plasma sintering under 40 MPa for 5 min at 1000℃. The results show that a higher bending strength and a higher hardness were obtained when the PCAs were 75% ligroin ＋ 25% alcohol in mechanical alloying. The bending strength is about 2700 MPa and the hardness （HV） is more than 6 GPa.

The XENON IT excess of keV electron recoil events may be induced by the scattering of electrons and long-lived particles with an MeV mass and high *** consider a tangible model composed of two scalar MeV dark matter(DM) particles,S_(A) and S_(B),to interpret the XENON IT keV excess via boosted S_(B).A small mass splitting m_(S_(A))-m_(S_(B))>0 is introduced,and the boosted S_(B) can be produced using the dark annihilation process of S_(A)S_(A)^(■)→φ→S_(B)S_(B)^(■) via a resonant scalar φ.S_(B)-electron scattering is intermediated by a vector boson *** the constraints from Big Bang nucleosynthesis,cosmic microwave background(CMB),and low-energy experiments set the X-mediated S_(B)-electron scattering cross section to be≤10^(-35)cm^(2),the MeV scale DM with a resonance enhanced dark annihilation today can still provide sufficient boosted S_(B) and induce the XENON1 T keV *** relic density of S_(B) is significantly reduced by the s-wave process S_(B)S_(B)^(■)→XX,which is permitted by the constraints from CMB and 21-cm absorption.A very small relic fraction of S_(B) is compatible with the stringent bounds on un-boosted S_(B)-electron scattering in DM direct detection,and the S_(A)-electron scattering is also allowed.

The long-standing Galactic center gamma-ray excess could be explained by GeV dark matter(DM)annihilation,but the DM interpretation seems to conflict with recent joint limits from different astronomical scale observations such as dwarf spheroidal galaxies,the Milky Way halo,and galaxy groups/*** by ^(8)Be and ^(4)He anomalous transitions with possible new interactions mediated by a vector boson X,we consider a small fraction of DM mainly annihilating into a pair of on-shell vector bosons followed by in this *** Galactic center gamma-ray excess is explained by this DM cascade *** gamma rays are mainly from inverse Compton scattering emission,and the DM cascade annihilation could be compatible with joint astrophysical limits and meanwhile be allowed by AMS-02 positron *** direct detection of this model is also discussed.
