Pancreatic paracoccidioidomycosis simulating malignant neoplasia:Case report

Paracoccidioidomycosis is a systemic granulomatous disease caused by fungus,and must be considered in the differential diagnosis of intra-abdominal tumors in endemic *** report a rare case of paracoccidioidomycosis in the pancreas.A 45-year-old man was referred to our institution with a 2-mo history of epigastric abdominal pain that was not diet-related,with night sweating,inappetence,weight loss,jaundice,pruritus,choluria,and acholic feces,without signs of sepsis or palpable *** ultrasonography(Us)showed a solid mass of approximately 7 cm×5.5 cm on the pancreas *** computerized tomography showed dilation of the biliary tract,an enlarged pancreas(up to 4.5 in the head region),with dilation of the major pancreatic *** patient underwent exploratory laparotomy,and the surgical description consisted of a tumor,measuring 7 to 8 cm with a poorly-defined margin,adhering to posterior planes and mesenteric vessels,showing an enlarged bile *** drainage of the biliary tract,Rouxen-Y gastroenteroanastomosis,lymph node excision,and biopsies were performed,but malignant neoplasia was not *** analysis showed chronic pancreatitis and a granulomatous chronic inflammatory process in the choledochal lymph ***-alcohol resistant bacillus and fungus screening were ***-needle aspiration of the pancreas was performed under Us *** smear was compatible with infection by Paracoccidioides *** report a rare case of paracoccidioidomycosis simulating a malignant neoplasia in the pancreas head.

The“oil stain disease”has become a phytosanitary status that involves economic losses for farmers who produce gulupa(Passiflora edulis sims).For this reason,this research aimed to evaluate the biocontrol activity of Bacillus subtilis ATCC 55033 in a culture medium based on fermented millet as a biocontrol product of the ***,metabolite production of seven strains of *** and a reference strain B.s(ATCC 55033)was evaluated;in addition,the in vitro antagonistic ability was evaluated against Xanthomonas *** experiments were performed under in vitro conditions:(1)study of the presence of halos of hemolysis due to metabolite production;(2)analysis of the antagonistic ability by using double *** was observed that concerning the average,a number five times bigger of halos of hemolysis and 10 times bigger halos of inhibition in vitro on the growth of *** in the strains B.s(ATCC 55033)and B.s TB2 over other ***,the evaluation was performed under greenhouse conditions,based on a randomized block design,in which two treatments were applied over the soil:(1)application of the fermented medium based on millet with B.s ATCC 55033,24 h before X.a inoculation;(2)application of 5 d *** was observed that the treatment,previous infective process,obtained an average percentage of severity equal to 42.044%.In addition,after the evaluation month,a foliage restoration was *** conclusion,it is suggested that these products could act as inducers in the plant systemic resistance to trigger defense responses to infection of X.a.

人参芦头抗心律失常活性成分研究

从人参(Panax ginseng ***)芦头中分离得到10个化合物。经理化性质、波谱分析和薄层析分别鉴定为:20(R)-人参皂甙-Rh_1(Ⅰ),人参皂甙-Rg_3(Ⅱ),20(s)-人参皂甙-Rg_2(Ⅲ),-Rg_1(Ⅳ),-B(Ⅴ),-Rd(Ⅵ),-Rc(Ⅶ),-Rb_2(Ⅷ),-Rb_1(Ⅸ),-Ro(Ⅹ).其中化合物Ⅰ,Ⅱ为首次从人参芦头中分离得到的已知成分,并对其中9种主要人参皂甙进行了抗氯化钡诱发大白鼠心律失常作用的研究。

Purpose:This study aims at reporting the experience of a cancer hospital’s multiprofessional team with surgery patients in performing cytoreductive surgeries associated with hyperthermic intraperitoneal ***:It is a reporting about the experience of the multiprofessional team at AC Camargo Cancer Center’s surgery center,which operates in cytoreductive surgeries with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy,thus guaranteeing the surgery patient’s ***:No safety report for the surgery patient subjected to intraperitoneal hypothermic chemotherapy was found in the ***,the surgery center’s multiprofessional team’s practice was based on standards for manipulating chemotherapeutic agents and for safely administering medication.A checklist was elaborated for cytoreductive surgeries with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy based on the surgery patient safety protocol and the institution’s multiprofessional team’s ***:From the multiprofessional team’s experiences in cytoreductive surgeries with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy,the importance of elaborating a checklist to promote the quality of assistance and guarantee patient safety during the entire intraoperative phase became evident.
