Municipal solid waste(MSW)is an important destination for abandoned *** the waste disposal process,large plastic debris is broken down into microplastics(MPs)and released into the ***,current research only focuses on landfill leachates,and the occurrence of MPs in other leachates has not been ***,herein,the abundance and characteristics of MPs in three types of leachates,namely,landfill leachate,residual waste leachate,and household food waste leachate,were studied,all leachates were collected from the largest waste disposal center in *** results showed that the average MP abundances in the different types of leachates ranged from(129±54)to(1288±184)MP particles per liter(particlesl1)and the household food waste leachate exhibited the highest MP abundance(plyethylene(PE)and fragments were the dominant polymer type and shape in MPs,*** characteristic polymer types of MPs in individual leachates were ***,the conditional fragmentation model indicated that the landfilling process considerably affected the size distribution of MPs in leachates,leading to a higher percentage(>80%)of small MPs(20–100 lm)in landfill leachates compared to other *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study discussing the sources of MPs in different leachates,which is important for MP pollution control during MSW disposal.

Slow magnetic relaxation and photoluminescence behaviors of dilanthanide complexes bearing N_(8)O_(2)donor macrocyclic ligand

On account of the complicated magnetic exchange interactions between lanthanide ions,binuclear lanthanide complexes have broad application prospect in the field of single-molecule ***,it is necessary to develop reasonable bridging ligands to manipulate the directional assembly of binuclear lanthanide ***,we selected the macrocyclic ligand l^(N_(8)O_(2))to build up two new dilanthanide complexes[ln_(2)(lN_(8)O_(2))(OpyO)_(2)(H_(2)O)2](NO_(3))_(2)(1-ln,ln=Dy,Tb;lN_(8)O_(2)=hexamethyl-tetraaza-dioxe-dipyrazolacycloicosaphane-2,9,12,19-tetraene;OpyOH=2-pyridinol-1-oxide).Dynamic magnetic studies show that 1-Dy exhibits slow relaxation behavior under a 1 kOe applied *** fitting analysis of relaxation times gives the effective energy barrier of 38.2 cm^(−1),and reveals that the slow magnetic relaxation behavior is dominated by the Orbach and Raman ***-resolution luminescence emission spectrum indicates the energy gap of 36.8 cm^(−1)between the ground state and the first excited state,consistent with the magnetic measurement results.1-Tb exhibits brilliant characteristic green light emission under UV light *** absolute quantum yield of 1-Tb is 44.8%,and its first-order fitted decay lifetime is 779.21μs at room *** study provides the way for directional construction of high-performance molecular materials with magnetic and optical dual-function.

Engineering FeOOH/Ni(OH)_(2) heterostructures on Ni_(3)S_(2)surface to enhance seawater splitting

A Review of Type 1 and Type 2 Intraductal Papillary Neoplasms of the Bile Duct

Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct(IPNB)is a heterogeneous disease similar to intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the *** lesions have been recognized as one of the three major precancerous lesions in the biliary tract since *** 2018,Japanese and Korean pathologists reached a consensus,classifying IPNBs into type l and type 2 *** are more prevalent in male patients in East Asia and are closely related to diseases such as cholelithiasis and *** a molecular genetic perspective,IPNBs exhibit early genetic variations,and different molecular pathways may be involved in the tumorigenesis of type 1 and type 2 *** histological subtypes of IPNBs include gastric,intestinal,pancreaticobiliary,or oncocytic subtypes,but type 1 IPNBs typically exhibit more regular and well-organized histological features than type 2 IPNBs and are more commonly found in the intrahepatic bile ducts with abundant *** to the rarity of these lesions and the absence of specific clinical and laboratory features,imaging is crucial for the preoperative diagnosis of IPNB,with local bile duct dilation and growth along the bile ducts being the main imaging *** resection remains the optimal treatment for IPNBs,but negative bile duct margins and the removal of lymph nodes in the hepatic hilum significantly improve the postoperative survival rates for patients with IPNBs.

A Catalog and Statistical Analysis for Magnetic Stars

Magnetic fields are significant in the structure and evolution of stars. We present a comprehensive catalog of 1784known magnetic stars, detailing their identifications, HD numbers, precise locations, spectral types and averaged quadratic effective magnetic fields among other important information. The group comprises 177 O-type stars, 551B-type stars, 520 A-type stars, 91 F-type stars, 53 G-type stars, 61 K-type stars, 31 M-type stars and an additional300 stars whose spectral classification remains indeterminate. Our analysis examines the statistical properties of these magnetic stars. The relative integrated distribution function and number distribution function for all magnetic stars of the same spectral type can be effectively approximated using an exponential function of the averaged quadratic effective magnetic field. The analysis further reveals that A and B-type stars possess the strongest mean magnetic fields, indicating an easier detection of their magnetic fields.

Optimizing near-carbon-free nuclear energy systems:advances in reactor operation digital twin through hybrid machine learning algorithms for parameter identification and state estimation

Accurate and efficient online parameter identification and state estimation are crucial for leveraging digital twin simulations to optimize the operation of near-carbon-free nuclear energy *** previous studies,we developed a reactor operation digital twin(RODT).However,non-differentiabilities and discontinuities arise when employing machine learning-based surrogate forward models,challenging traditional gradient-based inverse methods and their *** study investigated deterministic and metaheuristic algorithms and developed hybrid algorithms to address these *** efficient modular RODT software framework that incorporates these methods into its post-evaluation module is presented for comprehensive *** methods were rigorously assessed based on convergence profiles,stability with respect to noise,and computational *** numerical results show that the hybrid KNNlHS algorithm excels in real-time online applications,balancing accuracy and efficiency with a prediction error rate of only 1%and processing times of less than 0.1 ***,algorithms such as FSA,DE,and ADE,although slightly slower(approximately 1 s),demonstrated higher accuracy with a 0.3%relative l_2 error,which advances RODT methodologies to harness machine learning and system modeling for improved reactor monitoring,systematic diagnosis of off-normal events,and lifetime management *** developed modular software and novel optimization methods presented offer pathways to realize the full potential of RODT for transforming energy engineering practices.

A reverse particle grading strategy for design and fabrication of porous SiC ceramic supports with improved strength

Porous ceramics usually require high mechanical strength and maximized porosity simultaneously,while for conventional particle grading strategies,it is highly challenging to meet both *** this end,a reverse particle grading strategy was developed based on the linear packing model by unusually introducing coarse particles(d50=16μm)into a fine particle(d50=5μm)*** the extrusion and sintering process,tubular porous SiC ceramic supports with improved mechanical strength were successfully *** effects of coarse particles on the rheological properties of the ceramic paste and the macroscopic properties and microstructure of the SiC supports were systematically *** an increase in the content of coarse SiC particles to 30 wt%,the pressure generated during extrusion decreased from 5.5±0.2 to 1.3±0.1 ***,the bending strength of the tubular supports increased from 36.6±5.6 to 49.1±4.5 MPa when 20 wt%coarse powder was *** notably improved mechanical strength was attributed to the distribution of coarse particles that prolonged the route of crack ***,the optimized tubular supports had an average pore size of 1.2±0.1μm,an open porosity of 45.1%±1.6%,and a water permeability of 7163±150 l/(m2·h·bar)as well as good alkali and acid corrosion ***,the strategy was proven to be feasible for the scale-up fabrication of 19-channel SiC tubular porous ceramic supports.

A functional hydrogenase mimic that catalyzes robust H_(2) evolution spontaneously in aqueous environment

Although great progress has been made in improving hydrogen production,highly efficient catalysts,which are able to produce hydrogen in a fast and steady way at ambient temperature and pressure,are still in large ***,we report a[NiCo]-based hydrogenase mimic,NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanozyme,that can catalyze robust hydrogen evolution spontaneously in water without external energy input at room *** hydrogenase nanozyme facilitates water splitting reaction by forming a three-center Ni-OH-Co bond analogous to the[NiFe]-hydrogenase reaction by using aluminum as electron donor,and realizes hydrogen evolution with a high production rate of 915 l·h^(-1) per gram of nanozymes,which is hundreds of times higher than most of the natural hydrogenase or hydrogenase ***,the NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanozyme can robustly disrupt the adhesive oxidized layer of aluminum and enable the full consumption of electrons from *** contrast to the often-expensive synthetic catalysts that rely on rare elements and consume high energy,we envision that this NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanozyme can potentially provide an upgrade for current hydrogen evolution,accelerate the development of scale-up hydrogen production,and generate a clean energy future.

Photometric Properties and Stellar Parameters of the Rapidly Rotating Magnetic Early-B Star HD 345439

We first present the multicolor photometry results of the rapidly rotating magnetic star HD 345439 using the Nanshan One-meter Wide-field *** the photometric observations,we derive a rotational period of 0.7699±0.0014 *** light curves of HD 345439 are dominated by the double asymmetric S-wave feature that arises from the magnetic *** behaviors are not observed in Sector 41 of the Transiting Exoplanet Survey *** evidence is found of the occurrence of centrifugal breakout events neither in the residual flux nor in the systematic variations at the extremum of the light *** on the hypothesis of the Rigidly Rotating Magnetosphere model,we restrict the magnetic obliquity angleβand the rotational inclination angle i so that they satisfy the approximate relationβ+i≈105°.The color excess,extinction,and luminosity are determined to be E_((B-V))=0.745±0.016 mag,A_(V)=2.31±0.05 mag,and log(l/l_(⊙))=3.82±0.1 dex,***,we derive the effective temperature as T_(eff)=22±1 kK and the surface gravity as log g=4.00±*** mass M=-7.24_(-1.24)^(+1.75)M_(⊙),radius R=4.44_(-1.93)^(+2.68)R_(⊙),and age τ_(age)=23.62_(-21.97)^(+4.24) Myr are estimated from the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram.

Background:The masses of-2500 nuclei have been measured experimentally;however,>7000 isotopes are predicted to exist in the nuclear landscape from H(Z=1)to Og(Z=118)based on various theoretical *** the mass of the remaining isotopes is a popular topic in nuclear *** learning has served as a powerful tool for learning complex representations of big data in many ***:We use light Gradient Boosting Machine(lightGBM),which is a highly efficient machine learning algorithm,to predict the masses of unknown nuclei and to explore the nuclear landscape on the neutron-rich side from learning the measured nuclear ***:Several characteristic quantities(e.g.,mass number and proton number)are fed into the lightGBM algorithm to mimic the patterns of the residual δ(Z,A)between the experimental binding energy and the theoret-ical one given by the liquid-drop model(lDM),Duflo–Zucker(DZ,also dubbed DZ28)mass model,finite-range droplet model(FRDM,also dubbed FRDM2012),as well as the Weizsacker–Skyrme(WS4)model to refine these mass ***:By using the experimental data of 80%of known nuclei as the training dataset,the root mean square devia-tions(RMSDs)between the predicted and the experimental binding energy of the remaining 20%are approximately 0.234±0.022,0.213±0.018,0.170±0.011,and 0.222±0.016 MeV for the lightGBM-refined lDM,DZ model,WS4 model,and FRDM,*** values are approximately 90%,65%,40%,and 60%smaller than those of the corresponding origin mass *** RMSD for 66 newly measured nuclei that appeared in AME2020 was also significantly *** one-neutron and two-neutron separation energies predicted by these refined models are consistent with several theoretical predictions based on various physical *** addition,the two-neutron separation energies of several newly measured nuclei(e.g.,some isotopes of Ca,Ti,Pm,and Sm)pre-dicted with lightGBM-refined mass models are also in good agreement with
