Due to the high structural flexibility and controllable thermal expansion,cubic double ReO_(3)-type negative thermal expansion(NTE)fluorides provide a solution for solving the prominent phenomenon of thermal expansion mismatch between ***,the expensive raw materials and complex synthesis steps limit its practical *** this work,we have designed a more advantageous method for the synthesis of NTE material CaZrf_(6),and it is expected to be generalized to the synthesis of other double ReO_(3)-***,a new orthorhombic phase CaZrf_(6) has been synthesized via this method in a lower *** the strong isotropic NTE of the cubic phase CaZrf_(6),the orthorhombic phase shows the strong anisotropic positive thermal expansion(PTE).The combined analysis of temperature-dependent X-ray diffraction(XRD),Raman spectra,and first-principles calculations shows that the low frequency phonon vibration mode with negative Grüneisen parameter in cubic CaZrf_(6) are strongly correlated with the transverse thermal vibration of f atoms and dominates the NTE of the material.

OBJECTIVE The inhibitory effect of active ingredients of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook.f.(TWHf)(celastrol,triptolide,triptonide,wilforlide A,wilforgine and wilforine)on human carboxylester⁃ase 1(CES1)and CES2 was detected to investigate the herb-drug interactions(HDIs)of *** Human liver microsomes catalysed hydrolysis of 2-(2-benzoyl-3-methoxyphenyl)benzothi⁃azole(BMBT)and fluorescein diacetate(fD)were used as the probe reaction to phenotype the activity of CES1 and CES2,*** residual activities of CES1 and CES2 were detected by ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)after intervention with celastrol,triptolide,triptonide,wilforlide A,wilforgine and wilforine(100μmol·L^(-1)).Kinetics analysis,involving half inhibitory concentra⁃tion(IC_(50)),inhibition type and kinetic parameter(Ki),and in vitro-in vivo extrapolation(IVIVE),was carried out to predict the HDIs between these compounds and CES-metabolizing *** docking was performed to analyze the ligand-enzyme *** Out of the six main con⁃stituents of TWHf,only celastrol exhibited strong inhibition towards both CES1 and CES2,with the inhibitory rates of 97.45%(Py,and the types of inhibition were all non-competitive *** on the kinetics analysis,the Ki values were calculated to be 5.10 and 10.55μmol·L^(-1)for the inhibition of celastrol on CES1 and CES2,*** indicated that celastrol might disturb the metabolic hydrolysis of clinical drugs in vivo by inhibiting *** docking results showed that hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic contacts contributed to the interaction of celastrol and *** The inhibitory effect of celastrol on CES1 and CES2 might cause HDIs with clinical drugs hydrolysed by CESs.

Optical singularity is pivotal in nature and has attracted wide interest from many disciplines nowadays,including optical communication,quantum optics,and biomedical *** vortex lines formed by phase singularities and fabricating chiral nanostructures using the evolution of vortex lines are of great *** this paper,we introduce a promising method based on two-photon polymerization direct laser writing(2PP-DLW)to record the morphology of vortex lines generated by tightly.f.cused multi-vortex beams(MVBs)at the *** to Gouy phase,the singularities of the MVBs rotate around the optical axis and move towards each other when approaching the focal *** propagation dynamics of vortex lines are recorded by 2PP-DLW,which explicitly exhibits the evolution of the phase ***,the MVBs are employed to fabricate stable three-dimensional chiral nanostructures due to the spiral-forward property of the vortex *** of the obvious chiral features of the manufactured nanostructures,a strong vortical dichroism is observed when excited by the light carrying orbital angular momentum.A number of applications can be envisioned with these chiral nanostructures,such as optical sensing,chiral separation,and information storage.

ChinaMu is the largest sequence-indexed Mutator(Mu)transposon insertional library in maize(Zea mays).In this study,we made significant improvements to the size and quality of the ChinaMu *** developed a new Mu-tag isolation method Mu-Tn5-seq(MuT-seq).Compared to the previous method used by ChinaMu,MuT-seq recovered 1/3 more germinal insertions,while requiring only about 1/14 of the sequencing volume and 1/5 of the experimental *** MuT-seq,we identified 113,879 germinal insertions from 3,168 Mu-active f1 *** also assembled a high-quality genome for the Mu-active line Mu-starter,which harbors the initial active MuDR element and was used as the pollen donor for the mutation *** the Mu-starter genome,we recovered 33,662(15.6%)additional germinal insertions in 3,244(7.4%)genes in the Mu-starter *** Mu-starter genome also improved the assignment of 117,689(54.5%)germinal *** newly upgraded ChinaMu dataset currently contains 215,889 high-quality germinal *** insertions cover 32,224 pan-genes in the Mu-starter and B73Ref5 genomes,including 23,006(80.4%)core genes shared by the two *** a test model,we investigated Mu insertions in the pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR)superfamily,discovering insertions for 92%(449/487)of PPR genes in ChinaMu,demonstrating the usefulness of ChinaMu as a functional genomics resource for maize.

Single crystallization is an important strategy to resolve intergranular cracks and unnecessary side reactions with electrolytes in layered transition metal oxide cathodes LiNi_(0.8)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.1)O_(2)(NMC811).Due to the limitations of high-temperature sintering and multi-step calcination,single crystal NMC811 generally shows irregular particles with a size of 2-3μ***,the prolonged Li-ion diffusion pathway and the stress generated by the uneven de-/intercalation sluggish Li-ion diffusion kinetics,what is more,cause structural damage such as intragranular cracks.A slow Li extraction rate or particle size reduction will ameliorate the structural damage and improve the cycling *** the most promising cathodes for next-generation power batteries,NMC811 required fast charge performance and cycle *** size reduction appears to be the displacement *** is an effective strategy to mitigate intragranular cracks of single crystal ***,the serious aggregation and increased specific surface area become new *** this article,we synthesized monodisperse nanoscale single crystal NMC811 by molten salt method and modified the surface by LiNbO3 *** electrochemical performance shows that nanoscale single crystal NMC811 has faster kinetic and higher capacity retention,so the strategy of combining nanonization and surface coating is an alternative way to prepare high specific capacity and cycle stable single crystal NMC811.

Two-line hybrid rice with excellent quality is preferred in the Chinese ***,there is a trade-off between reducing costs for hybrid seed production and lowering the outcrossing rate of the sterile line,which is largely determined by the stigma exsertion rate(SER).In this study,we constructed mutants of male sterility lines with improved grain length(GL)and SER in three elite early-season indica rice varieties through targeted manipulation of the TMS5 and GS3 genes using CRISPR/Cas9-mediated multiplex *** obtained a series of marker-free gs3 single mutants and gs3tms5 double mutants with significantly higher SER,longer grains,and increased 1000-grain weight compared with the wild type(WT).Importantly,the typically thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(TGMS)trait with a higher SER was observed in gs3tms5 mutants,and their f1 hybrids exhibited remarkable improvements in grain shape and yield-related *** findings provided an efficient method to generate new valuable TGMS germplasm with improved SER through the mutagenesis of GS3 and TMS5 synergistically,and demonstrated that GS3 had pleiotropic effects on grain size,SER,and grain quality in early-season indica rice.

This study aimed to explore the effect of Bifidobacterium animalis f1-7 on the improvement of atherosclerotic *** model ApoE^(-/-)mice were orally administered with *** f1-7 for 12 *** probiotic intervention reduced the plaque areas in aorta and the accumulation of macrophages,and downregulated the expression of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factorκB(Nf-κB)pathway to reduce the levels of inflammatory *** widely-targeted metabolomics analysis showed that acetyl-L-carnitine(ALC)in the intestine of atherosclerotic mice was significantly increased after *** f1-7 *** analysis proved that ALC was associated with atherosclerotic inflammatory *** using oxidized low density lipoprotein induced macrophage foam cells,we further verified that ALC could reduce lipid accumulation and inflammatory response in foam cells by downregulating the TLR4/Nf-κB ***,our results revealed that *** f1-7 upregulated the metabolite ALC to downregulate the inflammatory responses,leading to the reduction of plaque accumulation of atherosclerosis.
