Objective To investigate whether Naoxueshu Oral Liquid(NXS)could promote hematoma absorption in post-craniotomy hematoma(PCH)*** This is an open-label,multicenter,and randomized controlled trial conducted at 9 hospitals in *** aged 18–80 years with post-craniotomy supratentorial hematoma volume ranging from 10 to 30 mL or post-craniotomy infratentorial hematoma volume less than 10 mL,or intraventricular hemorrhage following cranial surgery were *** were randomly assigned at a 1:1 ratio to the NXS(10 mL thrice daily for 15 days)or control groups using a randomization code *** medical care was administered in both *** primary outcome was the percentage reduction in hematoma volume from day 1 to day *** secondary outcomes included the percentage reduction in hematoma volume from day 1 to day 7,the absolute reduction in hematoma volume from day 1 to day 7 and 15,and the change in neurological function from day 1 to day 7 and *** safety was closely monitored throughout the ***,subgroup analysis was performed based on age,gender,history of diabetes,and etiology of intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH).Results A total of 120 patients were enrolled and randomly assigned between March 30,2018 and April 15,*** patient was lost to follow-up in the control ***,there were 119 patients(60 in the NXS group and 59 in the control group)included in the *** the full analysis set(FAS)analysis,the NXS group had a greater percentage reduction in hematoma volume from day 1 to day 15 than the control group[median(Q1,Q3):85%(71%,97%)vs.76%(53%,93%),P0.05).furthermore,no adverse events were reported during the *** the FAS analysis,the NXS group exhibited a higher percentage reduction in hematoma volume on day 15 in the following subgroups:male patients,patients younger than 65 yea

Genetic polymorphisms of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in Chinese patients with end-stage renal disease secondary to IgA nephropathy

Background Genetic variability in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system may modify renal responses to injury and disease progression. The angiotensin I-converting enzyme （ACE） gene insertion/deletion （I/D）, the angiotensinogen （AGT） gene, M235T, the aldosterone synthase （CYP11B2） gene, C-344T, and the angiotensin II type 1 receptor （AT1R） gene, Al166C, have been shown to be associated with IgA nephropathy （IgAN） and its progression. We determined the presence of these polymorphisms in 130 Chinese patients with IgAN, including 47 patients with end-stage renal disease （ESRD） and 120 healthy Chinese subjects, to assess their impact on the susceptibility to disease and the liability of progression to ESRD. Methods Genotyping was performed with DNA isolated from peripheral leucocytes using polymerase chain reaction amplification of the polymorphic sequence, restriction enzyme digestion, and separation and identification of DNA fragments. Clinical data from renal biopsies were collected. Results ACE, AGT, CYP and AT1R genotype distributions were similar in patients with IgAN and in controls. Comparing patients with ESRD （IgAN-ESRD） and those without ESRD （IgAN-non ESRD）, there was a significant increase only in the ACE DD genotype （P 〈0.05） among the four gene polymorphisms. There was significant dominance of the male （P 〈0.05）, more marked hypertension （P 〈0.01）, proteinuria （P 〈0.01） and increased serum creatinine during renal biopsy （P〈0.01） in the IgAN-ESRD group. Conclusion Among the ACE, AGT, ATIR and CYP gene polymorphisms, only the DD genotype may predispose the individual to increased risk of progression to ESRD in the Chinese population.

The exploitation of new green polymerization avenues for the effective synthesis of polymers by reversible-deactivation radical polymerization plays a critical role in pursuing the development of polymeric *** this work,serials of deep eutectic solvents(DES)with intermolecular-hydrogen-bonding interaction were constructed as catalysts and medium for actuating reversible complexation-mediated polymerization(RCMP)for the first time,yielding methacrylate polymers with high monomer conversion and narrow dispersion molecular weight in both water and oil *** mechanism and elementary reaction of RCMP were explored deeply,revealing that the complexation of initiator with DES to generate radicals was a ratecontrolling step and intermolecular-hydrogen-bond was primary factor to influence polymerization ***,the insights of density functional theory calculations revealed that negative electrostatic potential ensured nucleophilic *** investigation demonstrated the considerable potential of DES for RCMP,which is anticipated for other polymerization applications as a novel medium mode.

A two-field-scan harmonic Hall voltage analysis for fast, accurate quantification of spin-orbit torques in magnetic heterostructures

We report on the development of a “two-field-scan” harmonic Hall voltage(HHV) analysis, which collects the second HHVas a function of a swept in-plane magnetic field at 45° and 0° relative to the excitation current, for the determination of the spin-orbit torques of transverse spins in magnetic heterostructures without significant perpendicular spins, longitudinal spins, and longitudinal/perpendicular Oersted fields. We demonstrate that this two-field-scan analysis is as accurate as the well-established but time-consuming angle-scan HHV analysis even in the presence of considerable thermoelectric effects but takes more than a factor of 7 less measurement time. We also show that the fit of the HHV data from a single field scan at 0°, which is commonly employed in the literature, is not reliable because the employment of too many free parameters in the fitting of the very slowly varying HHV signal allows erroneous conclusion about the spin-orbit torque efficiencies.

Present situation and prospect of immunotherapy for unresectable locally advanced esophageal cancer during peri-radiotherapy

Four major studies(Checkmate577,Keynote-590,Checkmate649 and Attraction-4)of locally advanced esophageal cancer published in 2020 have established the importance of immunotherapy,represented by anti-programmed death protein(PD)-1 in postoperative adjuvant treatment and advanced first-line treatment of locally advanced or advanced esophageal cancer and esophagogastric junction cancer,from the aspects of proof of concept,long-term survival,overall survival rate and progression-free *** unresectable or inoperable nonmetastatic esophageal cancer,concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy is the standard treatment recommended by various *** its curative effect is still not ideal,it is necessary to explore radical radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the future,and it is considered to be promising to combine them with immunotherapeutic drugs such as *** paper mainly discusses how to combine radical concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy with immunotherapy for unresectable local advanced esophageal cancer.

Effect of hot isostatic pressure on the microstructure and tensile properties of γ'-strengthened superalloy fabricated through induction-assisted directed energy deposition

The microstructure characteristics and strengthening mechanism of Inconel738LC(IN-738LC) alloy prepared by using induction-assisted directed energy deposition(IDED) were elucidated through the investigation of samples subjected to IDED under 1050℃ preheating with and without hot isostatic pressing(HIP,1190℃,105 MPa,and 3 h).Results show that the as-deposited sample mainly consisted of epitaxial columnar crystals and inhomogeneously distributed γ’ phases in interdendritic and dendritic core *** HIP,grain morphology changed negligibly,whereas the size of the γ’ phase became increasingly *** further heat treatment(HT,1070℃,2 h + 845℃,24 h),the γ’ phase in the as-deposited and HIPed samples presented a bimodal size distribution,whereas that in the as-deposited sample showed a size that remained *** comparison of tensile properties revealed that the tensile strength and uniform elongation of the HIP + HTed sample increased by 5% and 46%,respectively,due to the synergistic deformation of bimodal γ’phases,especially large cubic γ’ ***,the relationship between phase transformations and plastic deformations in the IDEDed sample was discussed on the basis of generalized stability theory in terms of the trade-off between thermodynamics and kinetics.

The welding arc,as a carrier for the conversion of electrical energy to thermal energy,has a direct impact on the quality of welding by its properties and *** the tungsten inert gas(TIG)welding process under the condition of Ar-He alternating gas supply,the arc is alternately converted between Ar arc and He arc with an alternating gas supply cycle,which has obvious arc change *** FLUENT software was used to numerically simulate the characteristics of the TIG arc under the condition of alternating gas supply,and the arc temperature field,arc pressure,electric potential and current density distribution under the condition of alternating gas supply were *** with the real-time data of arc pressure measured by the water-cooled copper plate with holes,it is proved that the TIG arc has obvious dynamic characteristics under the condition of Ar-He alternating gas *** unique dynamic TIG arc acts on the 5A06 aluminum alloy weld,causing the molten pool to stir,resulting in uniform microstructure and grain refinement at the weld,and thereby improving the mechanical properties of the welded joint.
