Sparse Polynomial Chaos Expansion(PCE)is widely used in various engineering fields to quantitatively analyse the influence of uncertainty,while alleviating the problem of dimensionality ***,current sparse PCE techniques focus on choosing features with the largest coefficients,which may ignore uncertainties propagated with high order ***,this paper proposes the idea of selecting polynomial chaos basis based on information entropy,which aims to retain the advantages of existing sparse techniques while considering entropy change as output uncertainty.A novel entropy-based optimization method is proposed to update the state-of-the-art sparse PCE *** work further develops an entropy-based synthetic sparse model,which has higher computational *** benchmark functions and a computational fluid dynamics(CFD)experiment are used to compare the accuracy and efficiency between the proposed method and classical *** results show that entropy-based methods can better capture the features of uncertainty propagation,improving accuracy and reducing sparsity while avoiding over-fitting problems.

Conjugated linear polymers are promising metal-free photocatalysts for visible-light-driven photocatalytic water disinfection,but it was still bottlenecked by the insufficient photogenerated charge separation and transport(CST)***,we obtained the highly crystalline imine-linked conjugated linear poly-mer(ODA-BPAH)with a greatly enhanced CST *** highly crystalline ODA-BPAH exhibited excel-lent broad-spectrum water disinfection efficiency up to 99.99999%in 1 h,which is among the reported highest of state-of-the-art *** crystallinity of ODA-BPAH was regulated by simply turn-ing the solvent and the experiment results revealed that the ODA-BPAH with high crystallinity exhibited higher internal electric field strength and photocatalytic performance than that with low crystallinity,which indicates that higher crystallinity in linear conjugated polymers contributes to superior CST ef-ficiency as well as the generation of reactive oxygen *** work highlights the impact of poly-mer crystallinity on the internal electric field and proves that linear poly-imine could be a new type of promising metal-free photocatalyst for water treatment.

BACKGROUND Immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)are a new class of antitumor drugs that have been approved to treat a variety of malignant ***,the occurrence of immune related adverse events(irAEs)has become an important reason for terminating *** sometimes lead to diarrhea and colitis,with severe enterocolitis potentially causing the hemorrhage of the lower gastrointestinal tract and colonic ***-associated colitis is primarily treated with glucorticosteroids and/or agents targeting tumor necrosis factor-α.Here,we describe a case of severe ICI-associated colitis due to anti-programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)(durvalumab)treatment for small cell lung cancer with liver *** patient exhibited a poor response to rescuable therapy,and eventually received a laparoscopic subtotal colectomy and *** data presented here will contribute to optimizing current treatment strategies for patients with severe ICI-associated *** SUMMARY A 71-year-old man was admitted for a second course of anti-PD-L1+IP(durvalumab+irinotecan+cisplatin)treatment to manage lung cancer with liver metastasis,diagnosed 1 mo *** days after the second dose,the patient developed abdominal pain and bloody *** to the anti-PD-L1 medication history and colonoscopy findings of the patient,he was diagnosed with a colitis associated with ICI *** treatment with sufficient glucocorticoids and two courses of infliximab,the patient developed severe lower gastrointestinal *** adequate assessment,the patient was treated by laparoscopic surgery,and was discharged in stable *** The early screening and hierarchical management of irAEs need the joint participation of a multidisciplinary *** ICI-related colitis with ineffective medical treatment,timely surgical intervention could prevent the death of patients.

The formation mechanism of intragranular ferrites with acicular morphology was *** ferrites were characterized by scanning electron *** results showed that the ferrites had an acicular structure with radial,symmetrical,and acicular laths,and that the inclusions were the nucleation sites of the intragranular acicular *** electron microscopy（TEM）was used to characterize the *** results of TEM with energy dispersive spectroscopy and TEM-selected area electron diffraction indicated that the complex inclusions consisted of Ti-Al complex oxides and *** jagged edges of the complex inclusions can be ascribed to the effects of the crystal *** stabilization energy U of the coordination polyhedron growth units varies with the type of connection according to the calculation results.A larger Ucorresponds to more stable growth units,which induces the preferentially oriented growth of inclusions,at which point acicular ferrites are formed.

Arabidopsis Transcription Factor Genes NF-YA 1, 5, 6, and 9 Play Redundant Roles in Male Gametogenesis, Embryogenesis, and Seed Development

Nuclear factor Y （NF-Y） is a highly conserved transcription factor presented in all eukaryotic organisms, and is a heterotrimer consisting of three subunits： NF-YA, NF-YB, and NF-YC. In Arabidopsis, these three subunits are encoded by multigene families. The best-studied member of the NF-Y transcription factors is LEAFY COTYLEDON1 （LEC1）, a NF-YB family member, which plays a critical role in embryogenesis and seed maturation. However, the function of most NF-Y genes remains elusive. Here, we report the characterization of four genes in the NF-YA family. We found that a gain- of-function mutant of NF-YA1 showed defects in male gametogenesis and embryogenesis. Consistently, overexpression of NF-YA1, 5, 6, and 9 affects male gametogenesis, embryogenesis, seed morphology, and seed germination, with a stronger phenotype when overexpressing NF-YA1 and NF-YA9. Moreover, overexpression of these NF-YA genes also causes hypersensitivity to abscisic acid （ABA） during seed germination, retarded seedling growth, and late flowering at different degrees. Intriguingly, overexpression of NF-YA1, 5, 6, and 9 is sufficient to induce the formation of somatic embryos from the vegetative tissues. However, single or double mutants of these NF-YA genes do not have detectable phenotype. Collectively, these results provide evidence that NF-YA1, 5, 6, and 9 play redundant roles in male gameto- phyte development, embryogenesis, seed development, and post-germinative growth.

In this study,we report the fabrication of a sensitive deep ultraviolet(DUV)photodetector by using CsPbBr_(3) nanosheets synthesized through confined-space growth at room *** peak pho-toresponse of the device upon illumination blueshifts with decreasing thickness and a 68 nm CsPbBr_(3) nanosheet based device displays a peak response to 265 nm illumination,showing responsivity and spe-cific detectivity of 85 mA/W and 4.05×1011 Jones at 3 V bias,*** simulation re-veals that the blueshift is associated with the wavelength-dependent absorption coefficient of CsPbBr_(3) nanosheet:incident light with shorter wavelengths can be absorbed on the superficial surface,while long-wavelength light has a larger penetration depth,leading to dominant DUV absorption in thinner CsPbBr_(3) *** work will shed light on the facile and cost-effective fabrication of DUV photode-tectors from non-ultrawide bandgap(UWBG)all-inorganic perovskite materials.

The intertwined ferroelectricity and band topology will enable the non-volatile control of the topological states,which is of importance for nanoelectrics with low energy costing and high response ***,the principle to design such system is unclear and the feasible approach to achieve the coexistence of two parameter orders is ***,we propose a general paradigm to design 2D ferroelectric topological insulators by sliding topological multilayers on the basis of first-principles *** trilayer Bi2Te3 as a model system,we show that in the van der Waals multilayer based 2D topological insulators,the in-plane and out-of-plane ferroelectricity can be induced through a specific interlayer sliding,to enable the coexistence of ferroelectric and topological *** strong coupling of the order parameters renders the topological states sensitive to polarization flip,realizing non-volatile ferroelectric control of topological *** revealed design-guideline and ferroelectric-topological coupling not only are useful for the fundamental research of the coupled ferroelectric and topological physics in 2D lattices,but also enable innovative applications in nanodevices.

Deletion of the Initial 45 Residues of ARR18 Induces Cytokinin Response in Arabidopsis

The plant hormone cytokinin plays important roles in various aspects of plant growth and development. Cytokinin signaling is mediated by a multistep phosphorelay similar to bacterial two-component system. Type-B ARRs lie at the end of the cytokinin signaling, typically mediating tile output response. However, it is still unclear how type-B ARRs are regulated in response to cytokinin. Typical type-B ARR contains an N-terminal receiver domain and a C-terminal effector domain. In this study, we performed a genome-wild comparative analysis by overexpressing full length and C-terminal effector domain of seven representative type-B ARRs. Our results indicated that overexpression of C-terminal effector domain causes short primary roots and short hypocotyls without the addition of cytokinin, sug- gesting that the inhibitory role of the receiver domain in the activity of the effector domain is a common mechanism in type-B ARRs. To investigate how the receiver domain inhibits the activity of the effector domain, we performed a deletion analysis. We found that deletion of the initial 45 residues of ARR18 （the 45 residues from N-terminus） causes pleiotropic growth defects by directly inducing cytokinin responsive genes. Together, our results suggest that the initial 45 residues are critical for the inhibitory role of the receiver domain to the effector domain in ARRI8.
