To the Editors:We read with great interest the study recently published by Sun et al 1 entitled“Electroacupuncture at Tianshu(ST25)and Zusanli(ST36)alleviates stress-induced irritable bowel syndrome in mice by modulating gut microbiota and corticotropin-releasing factor”in which the microbial details of electroacupuncture(EA)-induced protection in irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)were investigated.

Lung cancer is one of the most common malignancies and has the highest number of deaths among all *** continuous advances in medical strategies,the overall survival of lung cancer patients is still low,probably due to disease progression or drug *** is an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death triggered by the lethal accumulation of lipid peroxides,and its dysregulation is implicated in cancer *** evidence has shown that targeting the ferroptosis pathway could be a potential strategy for improving lung cancer treatment *** this review,we summarize the underlying mechanisms and regulatory networks of ferroptosis in lung cancer and highlight ferroptosis-targeting preclinical attempts to provide new insights for lung cancer treatment.

In order to alleviate the pressure on the supply of lithium resources,this research proposes the use of binary/ternary collectors with high selectivity and collecting ability to enhance the flotation purification of low-grade zinnwaldite *** binary collector is a mixture of dodecylamine polyoxyethylene ether and DL-2-octanol.A binary collector is added first,followed by sodium oleate,known as a ternary *** acidic conditions,the recovery of li2O in the concentrate was increased by 8.26%with the binary collector and 13.70%with the ternary collector,compared to the dodecylamine polyoxyethylene *** binary collector enhanced the dispersibility of the single collector,while co-adsorption strengthened the hydrophobic nature of the zinnwaldite ***,zinnwaldite particles,after the application of binary collector,displayed inter-particle flocculation and attachment to bubbles within 60109 m compared to other *** collector exhibited the capacity to lower critical micelle concentration and surface tension,subsequently inducing a denser and thicker hydrophobic layer through electrostatic forces,hydrophobic interactions,and chemical *** objective of this research is to facilitate the recovery of lithium resources from low-grade ores in order to meet the needs of sustainable development.

Understanding and characterizing rough contact and wavy surfaces are essential for developing effective strategies to mitigate wear,optimize lubrication,and enhance the overall performance and durability of mechanical *** sliding friction contact problem between a thermoelectric(TE)half-plane and a rigid solid with a periodic wavy surface is the focus of this *** simplify the problem,we utilize mixed boundary conditions,leading to a set of singular integral equations(SIEs)with the Hilbert *** analytical solutions for the energy flux and electric current density are obtained by the variable transform method in the context of the electric and temperature *** contact problem for the elastic field is transformed into the second-kind SIE and solved by the Jacobi ***,the smoothness of the wavy contact surface ensures that there are no singularities in the surface contact stress,and ensures that it remains free at the contact *** on the plane strain theory of elasticity,the analysis primarily examines the correlation between the applied load and the effective contact *** distribution of the normal stress on the surface with or without TE loads is discussed in detail for various friction ***,the obtained results indicate that the in-plane stress decreases behind the trailing edge,while it increases ahead of the trailing edge when subjected to TE loads.

Supercapacitors display promising electrochemical performance with high power density and excellent cycle ***,their low energy density limits their advancement in a broader range of *** enhance their energy density,we proposed self-assembled spinel NiMn2S4nanoflakes grown on nickel foam which we successfully prepared by a facile hydrothermal *** NiMn2S4electrode delivers a high capacitance of 2096.7 F g^(-1)at 1.0 A g^(-1),with an exceptional rate capability(~720.6 F g^(-1)at a very high current density of 100 A g^(-1))and good cycle stability(~85.1%retention of the initial capacitance after 7000 cycles with the Coulombic efficiency around 100%).The as-fabricated asymmetric supercapacitors based on NiMn2S4nanoflakes//active carbon demonstrate an energy density of 73.6 W h kg^(-1)at 800.5 W kg^(-1)and adequate cycling performance of~84.6%capacitance retention at 15 A g^(-1)after 10000 *** results reveal that the nanostructured NiMn2S4is an excellent electrode material for high-performance energy storage applications.

The concentration of PM_(2.5)has considerably reduced in recent years,but remains relatively high in *** particular,the increasing contribution of organic compounds to PM_(2.5)generates popular pressure for further reductions,resulting in an urgent need to study organic aerosol(OA).To investigate the molecular composition and source contribution of OA in the rural area of the Guanzhong Plain,Northwest China,PM_(2.5)samples were collected during 3–23 August 2016 and 5–20 January 2017 and studied for more than 100 organic tracer *** mean concentration of total measured organic compounds is 662±296 ng/m^(3)in summer and 3258±1925 ng/m^(3)in *** is the most abundant single compound found throughout the sampling period,which is a crucial tracer for biomass burning emissions,preliminary suggesting that biomass burning is an essential source of *** summer,organic compounds such as lipid compounds,sugar compounds,and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),more come from higher plants,wood burning,vehicle exhausts,plastic waste,and other direct emission *** PAHs(OPAHs),nitrophenols,and phthalic acids more come from the atmosphere through the oxidation reaction of aromatic precursors,especially photochemical ***,in winter,most of the increases in concentrations of organic compounds are attributed to biomass *** analysis of a haze event(14–19 January 2017)during the winter sampling period shows that the increases in the concentration of organic compounds are unaccompanied by strong secondary formation under lower relative humidity(49.1%±13.5%).The main reason for the growth of OA in this haze event is the accumulation of primary OA(POA).The source apportionment by the positive matrix factorization(PMF)model shows that biomass burning(37.1%)is the primary source of OA in the rural regions of the Guanzhong Plain,especially in winter(40.6%).The contribution of secondary formation decreases from 26.0%in summer t

Both M_(W) 7.8 and M_(W) 7.5 earthquakes occurred in southeastern Türkiye on February 6,2023,resulting in numerous buildings collapsing and serious *** the distribution of coseismic surface ruptures and secondary disasters surrounding the epicentral area is important for post-earthquake emergency and disaster ***-resolution Maxar and GF-2 satellite data were used after the events to extract the location of the rupture surrounding the first epicentral *** results show that the length of the interpreted surface rupture zone(part of)is approximately 75 km,with a coseismic sinistral dislocation of 2-3 m near the epicenter;however,this reduced to zero at the tip of the southwest section of the East Anatolia Fault ***,dense soil liquefaction pits were triggered along the rupture *** events are in the western region of the Eurasian Seismic Belt and result from the subduction and collision of the Arabian and African Plates toward the Eurasian *** western region of the Chinese mainland and its adjacent areas are in the eastern section of the Eurasian Seismic Belt,where seismic activity is controlled by the collision of the Indian and Eurasian *** China and Türkiye have independent tectonic histories.
