Objective This paper aims to elucidate the combined toxicity of magnetite nanoparticles/Chromium [MNPs/Cr（Ⅵ）] adducts. Methods The HEK293 cell was exposed to either Cr（Ⅵ） or MNPs, or their adducts MNPs/Cr（Ⅵ）. The cytotoxicity was evaluated by assessing the cell viability, apoptosis, oxidative stress induction, and cellular uptake. Results The toxicity of formed adducts is significantly reduced when compared to Cr（Ⅵ） anions. We found that the cellular uptake of MNPs/Cr（Ⅵ） adduct was rare, only few particles were endocytosed from the extracellular fluid and not accumulated in the cell nucleus. On the other hand, the Cr（Ⅵ） anions entered cells, generated oxidative stress, induced cell apoptosis, and caused cytotoxicity. Conclusion The results showed minor effects of the nanoadducts on the tested cells and supported that magnetite nanoparticles could be implemented in the wastewater treatment process in which advantageous properties outweigh the risks.

The formation and growth behavior of inclusions in the liquid steel were studied based on 45 steel by virtue of high temperature confocal laser scanning *** structures of all kinds of complex inclusions formed in the process of cooling and solidification of liquid steel were analyzed,and disregistries between various inclusions were *** results showed that inclusions with high melting point precipitated firstly,and inclusions with low disregistries precipitated *** latter precipitated and grew up on the surface of the former,and finally clear layered complex inclusions *** low disregistry mechanism could not fully explain the forming reasons of all complex inclusions,but no matter which kind of mechanism leading to the formation of complex inclusions,its basic principle is that the first precipitated phase provides a low nuclear power interface for the latter,which can reduce the nucleation interface and strain energy barrier of the latter.

A series of 2-[1-（2-formylamido-3-phenylpropionyloxy）alkyl]-1,4-dihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone（2FPADHAQ） derivatives was designed and *** antitumor activities were tested against L1210 tumor cells and P388 mouse leukemic tumor cells in vitro and in ICR mice bearing sarcoma 180 cells in ***,the introduction of 2-formylamido-3-phenyl-propanoic acid（2-FPPA） into the C-2-alkyl side chain C＇-1 hydroxy group in 2-（1-hydroxyalkyl）-1,4-dihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinones（2-HDHAQ） enhanced the antitumor activity compared with the starting materials.2-FPADHAQ with alkyl chains longer than the pentyl group had negligible activity,whereas compounds 2b,2c,2d and 2e possessing shorter chains demonstrated moderate cytotoxic activity[50% effective dose（ED 50） of L1210 and P388 are 2.61―4.75 and 5.84―8.74 μg/mL],whereas compound 2l with an aromatic system showed strong cytotoxic activity.T/C（%） values[（average survival days in the test group）/（average survival days in the control group）×100%] also show that the introduction of 2-FPPA into the side chain of 2-HDHAQ enhanced antitumor *** data suggest that the introduction of an amino acid into the starting material may increase its affinity for DNA or its selectivity for proliferating cancer cells.

Relationship between crystallographic structure of complex inclusions MgAl_(2)O_(4)/Ti2O_(3)/MnS and improved toughness of heat-affected zone in shipbuilding steel

In accordance with the minimum degree of disregistry mechanism in oxide metallurgy, the intragranular acicular ferrite (IAF) generated by microalloying elements in austenite was studied. Herein, the effect of Mg treatment on the microstructure and toughness of the heat-affected zone (HAZ) in shipbuilding steel was investigated. Mg treatment produced inclusions that influenced the formation of acicular ferrite in the microstructure. This refined the HAZ microstructure and improved its toughness. Electron backscatter diffraction was used to determine the oxides of titanium and the MgO Al_(2)O_(3) or MgAl_(2)O_(4) complex inclusions that induced the formation of IAF. MnS precipitated on MgAl_(2)O_(4) on a specific habit plane and in a specific direction. MnS had a specific orientation relationship with MgAl_(2)O_(4), i.e., f100gMgAl_(2)O_(4) //{100}MnS. The 35-mm-thick plate obtained in the industrial test after welding at a welding heat input of 120 kJ/cm had an average impact absorbed energy of 282.7 J at - 40 ℃ and 2 mm from the weld joint in the HAZ. The twodimensional disregistry index between inclusions can be used as the basis for controlling their distribution and adsorption force. Microalloy addition in the order of Al-Mg-Ti is key to obtaining abundant dispersion and fine nucleation in austenite.

Satisfying the mold-flux performance requirements for high-speed continuous casting necessitates the development of a new non-Newtonian-fluid mold flux with shear-thinning behavior, i.e., a mold flux whose viscosity is relatively high under lower shear rates and relatively low under higher shear rates. In this work, a mold flux that exhibits shear-thinning behavior was developed by adding different amounts of Si_3N_4 to the CaO–SiO_2–CaF_2 mold flux. The shear-thinning behavior was investigated using a rotational viscometer. In addition, the microstructure of the newly prepared slags was studied by high-temperature Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results showed that the mechanism of shear-thinning was attributable to a temporary viscosity loss caused by the one-way shear stress, whereas the corresponding magnitude of shear-thinning was closely related to the degree of polymerization(DP). Finally, the non-Newtonian fluid mold flux was used for laboratory casting tests, which revealed that the mold flux could reduce slag entrapment and positively affect the continuous casting optimization.

The formation mechanism of intragranular ferrites with acicular morphology was *** ferrites were characterized by scanning electron *** results showed that the ferrites had an acicular structure with radial,symmetrical,and acicular laths,and that the inclusions were the nucleation sites of the intragranular acicular *** electron microscopy（TEM）was used to characterize the *** results of TEM with energy dispersive spectroscopy and TEM-selected area electron diffraction indicated that the complex inclusions consisted of Ti-Al complex oxides and *** jagged edges of the complex inclusions can be ascribed to the effects of the crystal *** stabilization energy U of the coordination polyhedron growth units varies with the type of connection according to the calculation results.A larger Ucorresponds to more stable growth units,which induces the preferentially oriented growth of inclusions,at which point acicular ferrites are formed.

Cloning and Sequence Analysis of lef-3 Gene from Pieris rapae Granulovirus

To better understand the origination and evolution of lef-3 gene from baculovirus genome and determine the relationships between various viruses at molecular level, late expression factor 3 gene （lef-3） fragments of Pieris rapae granulovirus were obtained through conventional PCR method and sequenced after cloned into T-vector. Then, bioinformatics analysis on lef-3 gene and its encoding sequences were conducted by using bid-softs. Four mutations were appeared in the ORF of cloned lef-3 gene, which did not alter the characteristics of amino acids. It was inferred that PiraGV LEF-3 protein contained 399 amino acids, the molecular weight of which was 3.99 kD. Prediction of the LEF-3 advanced structure and homology comparison between other LEF-3 from various baculoviruses showed that the lef-3 gene might encode the single-stranded DNA-binding protein. The result of BLAST revealed that the lef-3 gene only existed in Lepidoptera host for the baculovirus genome, and the evolution analysis illustrated that lef-3 gene could be divided into 3 groups including one granulovirus （GV） group and 2 nucleopolyhedrovirus （NPV） groups. The selection pressure analysis of GV lef-3 gene coding region showed that the majority of lef-3 genes performed negative selection, while the Ka/Ks differed from different lef-3 gene, to some extent, which also performed positive selection. The origination analysis revealed that lef-3 gene of baculovirus might derive from bacteria. The lef-3 gene of PiraGV was cloned successfully and the possible patterns of origination and evolution were speculated through bioinformatics analysis.

The objectives of the present study were to detect the polymorphism in follicle stimulating hormone beta （FSHβ） gene and investigate the relationship between FSHβ gene and high prolificacy in *** to the sequence of ovine FSHβ gene,two pairs of primers were designed to detect single nucleotide polymorphism of exon 2 of FSHβ gene in two goat breeds,Xinong Saanen dairy goat and Boer goat,by *** least square mean and genetic variance of different genotypes at polymorphic locus were analyzed,and the selection reaction was forecasted by genetic correlation between marker locus and genetic variance of litter size *** was one polymorphic locus occurring in exon 2 （P2） with three genotypes （EE,EF and FF）.In Xinong Saanen dairy goat,EE genotype had significantly higher （P 〈 0.05） litter size than EF and FF genotype in the first to fourth parity and average parity;EF genotype had significantly higher （P 〈 0.05） litter size than FF genotype in the second and average *** Boer goat,EE genotype had significantly higher （P 〈 0.01） litter size than EF and FF genotype in the second to fourth parity and average parity;EF genotype had significantly higher （P 〈 0.05） litter size than FF genotype in average *** Xinong Saanen dairy and Boer goat,the heredity of litter size was mainly influenced by genetic additive effect and the EE genotype is a favorable marker genotype for litter size in these two breeds.

Background:The invasive alien species may lead to great environmental and economic crisis due to its strong capability of occupying the biological niche of native species and altering the ecosystem of the invaded ***,its potential to serve as the vectors of some specific zoonotic pathogens,especially parasites,has been ***,the damage that it may cause has been hugely underestimated in this aspect,which is actually an important public health *** paper aims to discuss the current status of zoonotic parasites carried by invasive alien species in *** body:This review summarizes the reported zoonotic parasites carried by invasive alien species in China based on the Database of Invasive Alien Species in *** summarize their prevalence,threat to human health,related reported cases,and the roles of invasive alien species in the life cycle of these parasites,and the invasion history of some invasive alien ***,we sum up the current state of prevention and control of invasive alien species in China,and discuss about the urgency and several feasible strategies for the prevention and control of these zoonoses under the background of booming international communications and inevitable ***:Information of the zoonotic parasites carried by invasive alien species neither in China or worldwide,especially related case reports,is limited due to a long-time neglection and lack of *** underestimation of their damage requires more attention to the monitoring and control and compulsory measures should be taken to control the invasive alien species carrying zoonotic parasites.
