BACKGROUND Thrombopoietin(TPO)is a primary regulator of thrombopoiesis in physiological ***,in combination with its specific cytokine receptor c-Mpl,drives platelet production by inducing the proliferation and differentiation of ***,the role of TPO in sepsis is not well *** elevated levels of TPO are often accompanied by a decrease of platelet count(PLT)in systemic infected conditions,which is contrary to the view that TPO promotes platelet production under physiological *** addition,whether TPO mediates organ damage in sepsis remains *** To explore the relationships between TPO and inflammatory factors,platelet indices,and thrombotic indicators in *** A total of 90 patients with sepsis diagnosed and treated at the emergency medicine department of The First People’s Hospital of Foshan between January 2020 and March 2021 were enrolled in this *** addition,110 patients without sepsis who came to the emergency medicine department were included as *** and laboratory parameters including age,gender,TPO,blood cell count in peripheral blood,platelet indices,inflammatory factors such as high-sensitivity Creactive protein(hs-CRP),interleukin(IL)-21,and IL-6,organ damage indicators,and thrombotic indicators were collected and analyzed by using various statistical *** The results showed that the TPO levels were higher in the sepsis group than in controls[86.45(30.55,193.1)vs 12.45(0.64,46.09)pg/mL,P<0.001],but PLT was lower(P<0.001).Multivariable analysis showed that white blood cell count(WBC)[odds ratio(OR)=1.32;95%confidence interval(CI):1.01-1.722;P=0.044],TPO(OR=1.02;95%CI:1.01-1.04;P=0.009),IL-21(OR=1.02;95%CI:1.00-1.03;P=0.019),troponin I(OR=55.20;95%CI:5.69-535.90;P=0.001),and prothrombin time(PT)(OR=2.24;95%CI:1.10-4.55;P=0.027)were independent risk factors associated with *** levels were positively correlated with IL-21,IL-6,hs-CRP,creatinine,D-dimer,P

In this paper,we study a class of Finsler metrics defined by a vector field on a gradient Ricci *** obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for these Finsler metrics on a compact gradient Ricci soliton to be of isotropic S-curvature by establishing a new integral *** we determine the Ricci curvature of navigation Finsler metrics of isotropic S-curvature on a gradient Ricci soliton generalizing result only known in the case when such soliton is of Einstein *** its application,we obtain the Ricci curvature of all navigation Finsler metrics of isotropic S-curvature on Gaussian shrinking soliton.

Precise immobilization of metal single atoms into a porphyrinic metal-organic framework for an efficient alkene hydrosilylation

Alkene hydrosilylation is one of the most concise and atom-economical methods to synthesize organosilicon ***,we reported the precise immobilization of metal single atoms(M-SAs;M=Ru,Rh,Ir,Pd,Pt,and Au)into a porphyrinic metalorganic framework(moF)of PCN-222(PCN=porous coordination network),and then applied the resultant moF composites of M-SAs@PCN-222 to alkene *** solvent-free conditions,Pt-SAs@PCN-222 displayed an especially high catalytic efficiency with the turnover frequency up to 119 s−1 and the maximum turnover number of 906,250 at room *** and theoretical studies revealed that there existed strong interactions between Pt-SAs@PCN-222 and the substrates,which helped to condense the substrates in the cavities of the porous *** density functional theory calculations and molecular dynamics simulations disclosed that PCN-222 could transfer electrons to Pt-SAs to enhance the silane oxidative addition and drive the reaction to proceed smoothly via Chalk–Harrod pathway.

Polysaccharide of Alocasia cucullata Exerts Antitumor Effect by Regulating Bcl-2, Caspase-3 and ERK1/2 Expressions during Long-Time Administration

Objective: To study the in vitro and in vivo antitumor effects of the polysaccharide of Alocasia cucullata(PAC) and the underlying mechanism. Methods: B16F10 and 4T1 cells were cultured with PAC of 40 μg/m L, and PAC was withdrawn after 40 days of administration. The cell viability was detected by cell counting kit-8. The expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 proteins were detected by Western blot and the expressions of ERK1/2 mRNA were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR). A mouse melanoma model was established to study the effect of PAC during long-time administration. Mice were divided into 3 treatment groups: control group treated with normal saline, positive control group(LNT group) treated with lentinan at 100 mg/(kg·d), and PAC group treated with PAC at 120 mg/(kg·d). The pathological changes of tumor tissues were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining. The cell apoptosis of tumor tissues was detected by TUNEL staining. Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein expressions were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the expressions of ERK1/2, JNK1 and p38 mRNA were detected by qRT-PCR. Results: In vitro, no strong inhibitory effects of PAC were found in various tumor cells after 48 or 72 h of administration. Interestingly however, after 40 days of cultivation under PAC, an inhibitory effect on B16F10 cells was found. Correspondingly, the long-time administration of PAC led to downregulation of Bcl-2 protein(P lity of B16F10 cells under long-time administration culture in vitro decreased after drug withdrawal, and similar results were also observed in 4T1 cells. Conclusions: Long-time administration of PAC can significantly inhibit viability and promote apoptosis of tumor cells, and had obvious antitumor effect in tumor-bearing mice.

Irregular initial solidification by mold thermal monitoring in the continuous casting of steels:A review
