Voltage-gated sodium(Nav)channels are critical players in the generation and propagation of action potentials by triggering membrane *** in Nav channels are associated with a variety of channelopathies,which makes them relevant targets for pharmaceutical ***,the cryoelectron microscopic structure of the human Nav 1.2,Nav 1.4,and Nav 1.7 has been reported,which sheds light on the molecular basis of functional mechanism of Nav channels and provides a path toward structure-based drug *** this review,we focus on the recent advances in the structure,molecular mechanism and modulation of Nav channels,and state updated sodium channel blockers for the treatment of pathophysiology disorders and briefly discuss where the blockers may be developed in the future.

Applications are limited at present because the currently available ultrasonic motors (USMs) do not provide suffi-ciently high torque and power. The conventional travelling-wave USM needs the bearing to support, which required lubricant. To solve the above problem, a bearingless travelling-wave USM is designed. First, a novel structure of the two-sided USM consisting of a two-sided teeth stator and two disk-type rotors is designed. And the excitation principle of the two-sided travelling-wave USM is analyzed. Then, using ANSYS software, we set up the model of the stator to predict the excitation frequency and modal response of the stator. The shape of the vibration mode was obtained. Last, the load characteristics of the USM are measured using ex-perimental method. The maximum stall torque and the no-load speed were obtained. The results showed that the characteristics of the two-sided USM are better than those of the conventional one-sided USM.

In the 1920s,Dr Otto Warburg first suggested the significant difference in energy metabolism between malignant cancer cells and adjacent normal *** cells mainly adopt the glycolysis as energy source to maintain tumor cell growth and biosynthesis under aerobic *** on energy metabolism pathway in cancer cells has aroused the interest of cancer researchers all around the *** recent years,plentiful studics suggest that targeting the peculiar cancer energy metabolic pathways,including glycolysis,mitochondrial respiration,amino acid metabolism,and fatty acid oxidation may be an effective strategy to starve cancer cells by blocking essential *** products (NPs)are considered as the “treasure trove of small molecules drugs” and have played an extremely remarkable role in the discovery and development of anticancer *** numerous NPs have been reported to act on cancer energy metabolism ***,a comprehensive overview about cancer energy metabolism targets and their natural-occurring inhibitors is prepared.

The increasing requirements of intensive interoperaterbility among the distributed nodes desiderate the high performance network connections, owing to the substantial growth of cloud computing and datacenters. Network I/O virtualization aggregates the network resource and separates it into manageable parts for particular servers or devices, which provides effective consolidation and elastic management with high agility, flexibility and scalability as well as reduced cost and cabling. However, both network I/O virtualization aggregation and the increasing network speed incur higher traffic density, which generates a heavy system stress for I/O data moving and I/O event processing. Consequently, many researchers have dedicated to enhancing the system performance and alleviating the system overhead for high performance networking virtualizatiou. This paper first elaborates the mainstreaming I/O virtualization methodologies, including device emulation, split-driver model and hardware assisted model. Then, the paper discusses and compares their specific advantages in addition to performance bottlenecks in practical utilities. This paper mainly focuses on the comprehensive survey of state- of-the-art approaches for performance optimizations and improvements as well as the portability management for network I/O virtualization. The approaches include various novel data delivery schemes, overhead mitigations for interrupt processing and adequate resource allocations for dynamic network states. Finally, we highlight the diversity of I/O virtualization besides the performance improvements in network virtualization infrastructure.

Changes in hippocampal histamine receptors in rats after treatment with Trimeresurus albolabris venom

BACKGROUND： It has been demonstrated that histamine and its receptors in the hippocampus play an important role in memory and/or learning behaviors.OBJECTIVE： To investigate the expression levels of the histamine receptor gene and protein in the hippocampi of rats prior to and after administration of Trimeresurus albolabris venom using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） and Western blot techniques. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A controlled observation based on cellular protein level was performed in the College of life Sciences, Chongqing Normal University between March 2005 and April 2007. MATERIALS： Eighty adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were provided by the Laboratory Animal Center of the Third Military Medical University of Chinese PLA. The lyophilized powder of Trimeresurus albolabris venom was collected from Jin-Hu-Shan in Chongqing, China. METHODS： Twenty rats were randomly and evenly divided into an experimental group and a control group The experimental group was subcutaneously injected with 0.65 mg/mL Trimeresurus albolabris venom, 0.5 mL for each rat. The control group was subcutaneously injected with an equal amount of 0.9% physiological saline. Prior to and after injection, rats from these two groups were placed in the Morris Water Maze for recording of path length and escape latency. The remaining 60 rats were randomly allocated to another experimental group （n = 50） and another control group （n = 10）. Rats were correspondingly injected as described above. At different time points （0.1, 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 hours after injection）, rats were decapitated and bilateral hippocampal tissues were dissociated （approximately 100 mg for each sample）. Then, the acquired hippocampal tissue was immediately preserved at -70 ℃ for subsequent experiments. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES：（1） The levels of histamine receptor （including H1R, H2R, and H3R） mRNA and protein in the hippocampi of rats were measured prior to and after injection of Trimeresurus

Since the outer surface interaction of Q[n]s (OSIQ, including self-, anion- and aromatic-induced OSIQs) was proposed in 2014, it has become the most important research area in our group to construct various Q[n]-based supramolecular frameworks via the OSIQ strategy. Herein, we report a novel supramolecular framework constructed using cucurbit[8]uril (Q[8]) and 4-sulfocalix[6]arene (SC[6]A). This Q[8]/SC[6]A-based supramolecular framework is a product via the perfect combination of self-, anion- and aromatic-induced OSIQs. This framework has the characteristics of easy preparation and high stability with the most important feature being the sequence selective capture of specific metal cations, such as common alkali- and alkaline earth metal ions, and renewability. Thus, this framework may be used in seawater desalination, potassium ion enrichment, radioactive cesium ion pollution source treatment, Gruinard's treatment or water softening and other applications.

Aim:To explore the mechanism of agmatine’s antidepressant ***:Male mice were subjected to a variety of unpredictable stressors on a daily basisover a 24-d *** open-field behaviors of the mice were displayed andrecorded using a Videomex-V image analytic system *** bromodeo-xyuridine(BrdU;thymidine analog as a marker for dividing cells)labeling,the micewere injected with BrdU(100 mg/kg,ip,twice per d for 2 d),and the hippocampalneurogenesis in stressed mice was measured by *** of cultured hippocampal progenitor cells from neonatal rats wasdetermined by colorimetric assay(cell counting kit-8)and ~3H-thymidine incorpo-ration ***:After the onset of chronic stress,the locomotor activity ofthe mice in the open field significantly decreased,while coadministration of agma-tine 10 mg/kg(po)blocked ***,the number of BrdU-labeled cells in thehippocampal dentate gyrus significantly decreased in chronically stressed mice,which was also blocked by chronic coadministration with agmatine 10 mg/kg(po).Four weeks after the BrdU injection,some of the new born cells matured andbecame neurons,as determined by double labeling for BrdU and neuron specificenolase(NSE),a marker for mature *** vitro treatment with agmatine 0.1-10 μmol/L for 3 d significantly increased the proliferation of the cultured hippoc-ampal progenitor cells in a dose-dependent ***:We have foundthat agmatine increases proliferation of hippocampal progenitor cells in vitro andthe hippocampal neurogenesis in vivo in chronically stressed mice,This may beone of the important mechanisms involved in agmatine’s antidepressant action.

ANALYSIS ON POVERTY IN MOUNTAIN AREAS BASED ON OFF-FARM INDUSTRIES

This paper reveals that agricultural growth trend in China is strongly correlated with the growth of off-farm industries-the curve of net income from off-farm industries reflects the general characteristics of net income of households. That means the increase of net income of farm households is chiefly from off-farm industries,more than from agriculture. The authors therefore conclude that the "poverty" in mountain areas or the gap between mountain areas and plain areas lies in the underdevelopment of off-farm industries in mountain areas. Finally,the authors make suggestions of strategic adjustment of economic structure: 1) present situation of mountain areas in China should be fully considered; 2) a full industrial system is not our desire; 3) advantageous industries should be promoted to create famous products; 4) industrialization and urbanization in mountain areas should be promoted and so on.
