Effects of mesoclimate and microclimate variations mediated by high altitude and row orientation on sucrose metabolism and anthocyanin synthesis in grape berries

Climate change and extreme weather pose significant challenges to the traditional viticulture *** high-altitude grape-producing regions with diverse orientations have shown great potential in coping with this ***,high-quality wine grape production may be achieved by synchronizing the meso-and *** clarify the role of high altitude and row orientation in meso-and microclimate and the response of berries to it,we evaluated seven years(2012-2018)of climate data,two years of basic grape(Cabernet Sauvignon,Vitis vinifera L.)quality,and one-year microclimate from veraison to *** comparing two locations(Sidon 2047 m,Sinon 2208 m)in Yunnan Province,China,we found that the average temperature has been stable at approximately 15℃ for seven years,with no extreme weather or,noticeable global *** light intensity(li)in the north-south(NS)was more balanced than the east-west(EW)direction,and the east-west to the south(EW-S)canopy side was almost higher than the other *** li was associated with high photosynthetically active radiation(PAR),ultraviolet(UV),and infrared(IR)light and vice *** north-south to the east(NS-E)and east-west to the north(EWN)sides were characterized by lower li and higher UV and IR light,and higher total anthocyanin *** anthocyanin synthesis-related genes,for example,VvF3'H and VvF3'5'H,were highly expressed in NS-E from veraison to *** UV and IR light induced their *** study provides new insights on the role of differently orientated rows in controlling grape quality due to varied light *** findings are globally significant,particularly in the context of climate change,and offer fresh insights into berry physiological responses and decision-making for the management of existing vineyards.

Traditional flame-retardant plastics are technically difficult to chemically *** development of newtypes of flame-retardant plastics that are intrinsically capable of being closed-loop recycled and are sufficiently robust and stable to satisfy their practical application is urgently *** this study,closed-loop recyclable flame-retardant plastics with high mechanical strength and excellent chemical resistance are fabricated by cross-linking amino-terminated polyimide(PI-NH_(2))and aldehyde-terminated cyclophosphazene(CP-CHO)with imine *** resultant flame-retardant plastic,which is denoted as PI-CP,exhibits a tensile strength of∼115.6 MPa,Young’s modulus of∼2.5 GPa,and glass transition temperature of 316°*** the PI-CP plastic,the imine bonds are isolated within hydrophobic microenvironments generated by the rigid and hydrophobic polyimide chains and the benzene ring of *** a result,the PI-CP plastics are highly stable in highly acidic and basic aqueous solutions and other commonly used organic *** PI-CP plastic shows outstanding flame retardancy with a limiting oxygen index value of 48.8%.More importantly,the PI-CP plastic can be depolymerized to generate the original PI-NH_(2)and CPCHO monomers in high yields(∼97%)and *** recovered monomers can be used to refabricate the original plastics,establishing highly efficient polymer-monomer-polymer circulation and a sustainable plastics economy.

Observation and verification of surface electrical explosion driven by radial-distributed pulsed current in laboratory lightning strike test

Animal body size variation is of particular interest in evolutionary biology,but the genetic basis remains largely *** studies have shown the presence of two parallel evolutionary genetic clusters within the fish genus Epinephelus with evident divergence in body size,providing an excellent opportunity to investigate the genetic basis of body size variation in ***,we performed phylotranscriptomic analysis and reconstructed the phylogeny of 13 epinephelids originating from the South China *** genetic clades with an estimated divergence time of approximately 15.4 million years ago were correlated with large and small body size,respectively.A total of 180 rapidly evolving genes and two positively selected genes were identified between the two *** enrichment analyses of these candidate genes revealed distinct enrichment categories between the two *** pathways and genes may play important roles in body size variation in groupers through complex regulatory *** on our results,we speculate that the ancestors of the two divergent groups of groupers may have adapted to different environments through habitat selection,leading to genetic variations in metabolic patterns,organ development,and lifespan,resulting in body size divergence between the two locally adapted *** findings provide important insights into the genetic mechanisms underlying body size variation in groupers and species differentiation.

A Deep Mantle Source for the Late Neoarchean Metamorphosed Basalts in Eastern Hebei,North China Craton:Insights from Whole-Rock Geochemistry and Sm-Nd Isotopes,and Zircon U-Pb-Hf Isotopes

The basalts within the greenstone belt worldwide serve as an ideal target to decipher the nature of Archean mantle sources and further to extend the understanding of the early stages of Earth's *** provide important insights into the issues,we carried out a detailed investigation of whole-rock geochemistry and Sm-Nd isotopes,and zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopes for the Late Neoarchean metamorphosed basalts in eastern Hebei,North China Craton.U-Pb isotopic dating using the LA-ICPMS on zircons reveals that the basalts in eastern Hebei erupted at ca.2.48-2.51 Ga and subsequently experienced multiple regional metamorphic events at 2477 and 1798 Ma,*** metamorphosed basalts are featured by low SiO_(2),MgO,K_(2)O+Na_(2)O,and high Fe O contents,endowed with the subalkaline and high-Fe tholeiitic *** radiogenic initial Nd and Hf isotope values and correlations among V,Ni and Cr contents strongly imply that the basalts experienced significant clinopyroxene and olivine fractionation and minor crustal contamination during magma *** are also characterized by the relatively low total REE contents and exhibit significant depletions to moderate enrichments in the LREE contents,indicating the derivation from a deep mantle source in an Archean proto-mantle plume setting.

Uncertainty and disturbance estimator-based model predictive control for wet flue gas desulphurization system

Wet flue gas desulphurization technology is widely used in the industrial process for its capability of efficient pollution *** desulphurization control system,however,is subjected to complex reaction mechanisms and severe disturbances,which make for it difficult to achieve certain practically relevant control goals including emission and economic performances as well as system *** address these challenges,a new robust control scheme based on uncertainty and disturbance estimator(UDE)and model predictive control(MPC)is proposed in this *** UDE is used to estimate and dynamically compensate acting disturbances,whereas MPC is deployed for optimal feedback regulation of the resultant *** viewing the system nonlinearities and unknown dynamics as disturbances,the proposed control framework allows to locally treat the considered nonlinear plant as a linear *** obtained simulation results confirm that the utilization of UDE makes the tracking error negligibly small,even in the presence of unmodeled *** the conducted comparison study,the introduced control scheme outperforms both the standard MPC and PID(proportional-integral-derivative)control strategies in terms of transient performance and ***,the results reveal that a lowpass-filter time constant has a significant effect on the robustness and the convergence range of the tracking error.

A comparative study on mechanical and vibroacoustic performance of sandwich cylindrical shells with positive,negative,and zero Poisson’s ratio cellular cores

Deep-sea submersibles are significant mobile platforms requiring multi-functional capabilities that are strongly determined by the constituent *** cylindrical protective cover can be advanced by designing their sandwiched cellular materials whose physical properties can be readily parameterized and flexibly *** honeycomb materials are capable of possessing tuned positive,negative,or zero Poisson’s ratios(PPR,NPR,and ZPR),which is expected to produce distinct physical performance when utilized as a cellular core of cylindrical shells for the deep-sea submersibles.A novel cylindrical meta-structure sandwiched with the semi-re-entrant ZPR metamaterial has been designed as well as its similarly-shaped sandwich cylindrical shell structures with PPR and NPR *** mechanical and vibroacoustic performance of sandwich cylindrical shells with cellular materials featuring a full characteristic range of Poisson’s ratios are then compared systematically to explore their potential for engineering applications on submerged pressure-resistant *** respective unit cells are designed to feature an equivalent load-bearing *** properties of pressure resistance,buckling,and sound insulation are simulated,respectively,and the orders of each property are then generalized by systematic *** results indicate that the PPR honeycomb core takes advantage of higher structural strength and stability while the ZPR one yields better energy absorption and sound insulation *** NPR one yields moderate properties and has the potential for lower circumferential *** work explores the application of cellular materials with varied Poisson’s ratios and provides guidance for the multi-functional design of sandwich cylindrical meta-structures.

End-Triassic storm deposits in the lacustrine Sichuan Basin and their driving mechanisms

Storm deposits or tempestites are event sequences formed by storms,requiring at least a water temperature of 26.5℃.While inland lakes are unlikely to form storm deposits because of their limited width and water *** Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation in the Sichuan Basin is a set of coal-bearing,clastic sequences with dominant sedimentary facies varying from braided river delta to lacustrine settings,with storm deposits widely *** the Zilanba of Guanyuan area,in situ tree trunks on a palaeosol surface in Member Vof the Xujiahe Formation provide new evidence of a storm *** fallen-down directions of nine in situ tree trunks were predominant in the NW direction,contrary to the palaeocurrent direction of the underlying strata,suggesting that the southeasterlies prevailed during the end-Triassic in the northern Sichuan *** mud clasts were frequently recorded in sandstones of the Xujiahe Formation,as well as in the xindianzi *** mud clasts showed a rip-up or a plastic deformation with upside-down V-shapes,were capped on an erosional surface,showed no transport traces and were therefore interpreted as a storm lag *** megamonsoonal climate prevailed during the Late Triassic,although the megamonsoons themselves could not generate a storm deposition in the Xujiahe Formation due to its low maximum surface wind *** driving mechanism for generating storm deposits in the Xujiahe Formation is suggested to be tropical cyclones over the Tethys Ocean moving eastward,further landfalling on the western margin of the Sichuan *** of storm events in the circum-Tethys region show a widespread storm surge in low latitudes during the *** storm deposits at the top of the Xujiahe Formation represent a sedimentary response to the end-Triassic hyperthermal event.

Laparoscopic partial splenectomy in the treatment of splenic ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurred outside the uterus,usually in the fallopian tube,followed by other abdominal *** pregnancy could not develop normally to term and requires sufficient evaluation and intervention with medication or surgery in most cases(1).As a rare form of abdominal pregnancy(2),splenic ectopic pregnancy could be treated by drug treatment(3)or surgical interventions,including laparotomy and laparoscopy,which focused on total splenectomy(4,5).A previous study(6)indicated that laparoscopic partial splenectomy for selected patients was safe and *** to the fragile texture of the spleen,the suture method during laparoscopic partial splenectomy was technically demanding since it might encounter higher risk of splenic vascular hemorrhage than total ***,few reports focused on the treatment of splenic ectopic pregnancy via laparoscopic partial splenectomy(7).In order to avoid the potential severe complications such as hemoperitoneum(8)caused by drug treatment alone,and to avert impaired hematopoietic and immune function caused by total splenectomy,we herein presented a case(Video 1)of a 30-year-old woman(gravida 2,para 1)undergoing laparoscopic partial splenectomy performed by hepatobiliary surgeons to treat splenic ectopic pregnancy.
