Boosting Hydrogen Storage Performance of MgH_(2) by Oxygen Vacancy-Rich H-V_(2)O_(5) Nanosheet as an Excited H-Pump

MgH_(2) is a promising high-capacity solid-state hydrogen storage material,while its application is greatly hindered by the high desorption temperature and sluggish ***,intertwined 2D oxygen vacancy-rich V_(2)O_(5) nanosheets(H-V_(2)O_(5))are specifically designed and used as catalysts to improve the hydrogen storage properties of MgH_(2).The as-prepared MgH_(2)-H-V_(2)O_(5) composites exhibit low desorption temperatures(Tonset=185℃)with a hydrogen capacity of 6.54 wt%,fast kinetics(Ea=84.55±1.37 kJ mol^(-1) H_(2) for desorption),and long cycling ***,hydrogen absorption can be achieved at a temperature as low as 30℃ with a capacity of 2.38 wt%within 60 ***,the composites maintain a capacity retention rate of~99%after 100 cycles at 275℃.Experimental studies and theoretical calculations demonstrate that the in-situ formed VH_(2)/V catalysts,unique 2D structure of H-V_(2)O_(5) nanosheets,and abundant oxygen vacancies positively contribute to the improved hydrogen sorption ***,the existence of oxygen vacancies plays a double role,which could not only directly accelerate the hydrogen ab/de-sorption rate of MgH_(2),but also indirectly affect the activity of the catalytic phase VH_(2)/V,thereby further boosting the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2).This work highlights an oxygen vacancy excited“hydrogen pump”effect of VH_(2)/V on the hydrogen sorption of Mg/MgH_(2).The strategy developed here may pave a new way toward the development of oxygen vacancy-rich transition metal oxides catalyzed hydride systems.

V0405 Dra:A New Deep and Low Mass Ratio Contact Binary with Extremely Fast Decrease in the Orbital Period

V0405 Dra is a W UMa-type binary *** on the TESS data,we have conducted an orbital period study and performed a light curve analysis for the *** orbital period study reveals that the O-C curve for V0405 Dra exhibits secular decrease at an extremely high rate of d P/dt=-2.71×10^(-6)day year^(-1),along with periodic variations characterized by an amplitude of A_(3)=0.0032 day and a period of P_(3)=1.413 *** orbital periodic change is possibly due to the light-travel time effect resulting from an additional third body in the system,for which we estimate a minimum mass of M_(3)=0.77M_(⊙).By employing the 2013 version of the Wilson-Devinney(W-D)method to synthesize a light curve,we derived photometric solutions indicating that V0405 Dra is a new deep(f=68.7%)and low-mass ratio(q=0.175)contact *** fast decrease in its orbital period is likely caused by mass transfer from the more massive primary star to the less massive secondary star,or due to angular momentum *** further mass transfer and loss of angular momentum,the binary will gradually evolve into a tighter contact configuration,eventually leading to a merger into a single star,following the evolutionary paths suggested for such deep and low mass ratio contact binaries.

Au hierarchical architectures with special morphology and structures are strongly desired in varied ***,a simple synthesis method was developed for the one-step preparation of Au micronails(MNs)at the planar liquid-liquid interface under mild *** well-defined Au MNs were grown and constructed at CHCl_(3)-H_(2)O interface at room temperature using aniline in CHCl_(3)as reducing agent and HAuCl_(4)in H_(2)O as precursor and no surfactant or seed is *** intriguing Au MNs with rough surface consist of big heads and thin rods,just like iron nails in ***,through simple changing the reagent concentrations,the length and surface roughness of Au MNs can be adjusted *** effects of a series of factors on the morphology and structure of the products are studied in *** p-aminothiophenol as a molecular probe,the as-obtained Au MNs all exhibit dramatically improved surface enhanced Raman scattering sensitivity and high reproducibility,the enhancement factor and limit of detection of Au MNs are 5.4×10^(5)and 1.0×10^(-10),respectively.

Winter jujube(Ziziphus jujuba'Dongzao')is greatly appreciated by consumers for its excellent quality,but brand infringement frequently occurs in the ***,we first determined a total of 38 elements in 167 winter jujube samples from the main winter jujube producing areas of China by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer(ICP-MS).As a result,16 elements(Mg,K,Mn,Cu,Zn,Mo,Ba,Be,As,Se,Cd,Sb,Ce,Er,Tl,and Pb)exhibited significant differences in samples from different producing *** linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and orthogonal projection to latent structures discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA)showed better performance in identifying the origin of samples than unsupervised principal component analysis(PCA).LDA and OPLS-DA had a mean identification accuracy of 87.84 and 94.64%in the testing set,*** using the multilayer perceptron(MLP)and C5.0,the prediction accuracy of the models could reach 96.36 and 91.06%,*** on the above four chemometric methods,Cd,Tl,Mo and Se were selected as the main variables and principal markers for the origin identification of winter ***,this study demonstrates that it is practical and precise to identify the origin of winter jujube through multi-element fingerprint analysis with chemometrics,and may also provide reference for establishing the origin traceability system of other fruits.

A case study of continental shelf waves in the northwestern South China Sea induced by winter storms in 2021

This study aims to investigate characteristics of continental shelf wave(CSW)on the northwestern continental shelf of the South China Sea(SCS)induced by winter storms in *** and cruise observations,tidal gauge data at stations Hong Kong,Zhapo and Qinglan and sea surface wind data from January 1 to February 28,2021 are used to examine the relationship between along-shelf wind and sea level *** events of CSWs driven by the along-shelf sea surface wind are detected from wavelet spectra of tidal gauge *** signals are triply peaked at periods of 56 h,94 h and 180 h,propagating along the coast with phase speed ranging from 6.9 m/s to18.9 m/*** dispersion relation shows their property of the Kelvin mode of *** develop a simple method to estimate amplitude of sea surface fluctuation by along-shelf *** results are comparable with the observation data,suggesting it is *** mode 2 CSWs fits very well with the mooring current velocity *** results from rare current help to understand wave-current interaction in the northwestern SCS.

The harsh environment in tunnels with high geothermal temperatures and humidity can adversely impact machinery,personnel,and *** main causes of specific problems are the unknown mechanisms of local geothermal formation,inappropriate temperature control measures,and insufficient systematic *** this study,three work sections relating to a high geothermal tunnel are:the tunnel face,middle-of-tunnel section,and outside-oftunnel section.A cooling strategy is proposed to offer technical support in achieving comprehensive cooling,overall as well as for each of the ***,a comprehensive geological survey explores the mechanism and exact location of the heat ***,grouting and centralized drainage measures are used to control the heat release of hot *** ventilation,ice chillers and other applicable measures are used to control the ambient ***,a monitoring and early warning system is established to prevent *** cooling strategy has been applied in the field with good results.

Long-Term Performance and Microstructural Characterization of Dam Concrete in the Three Gorges Project

This study investigates the long-term performance of laboratory dam concrete in different curing environments over ten years and the microstructure of 17-year-old laboratory concrete and actual concrete cores drilled from the Three Gorges *** mechanical properties of the laboratory dam concrete,whether cured in natural or standard environments,continued to improve over ***,the laboratory dam concrete exhibited good resistance to diffusion and a refined microstructure after 17 ***,curing and long-term exposure to the local natural environment reduced the frost *** analyses of the laboratory concrete samples demonstrated that moderate-heat cement and fine fly ash(FA)particles were almost fully hydrated to form compact micro structures consisting of large quantities of homogeneous calcium(alumino)silicate hydrate(C-(A)-S-H)gels and a few *** obvious interfacial transition zones were observed in the microstructure owing to the longterm pozzolanic *** dense and homogenous microstructure was the crucial reason for the excellent long-term performance of the dam concrete.A high FA volume also played a significant role in the microstructural densification and performance growth of dam concrete at a later *** concrete drilled from the dam surface exhibited a loose microstructure with higher microporosity,indicating that concrete directly exposed to the actual service environment suffered degradation caused by water and wind *** this study,both macro-performance and microstructural analyses revealed that the application of moderate-heat cement and FA resulted in a dense and homogenous microstructure,which ensured the excellent long-term performance of concrete from the Three Gorges Dam after 17 ***-term exposure to an actual service environment may lead to microstructural degradation of the concrete ***,the retained long-term dam concrete samples need to be further researched to

In organic solar cells(OSCs),it is an effective way to improve the power conversion efficiency(PCE)by adding a guest component with appropriate absorption and energy levels in the host ***,a new nonfullerene acceptor(NFA)named TBF-2Cl was developed by the strategy of expanding theπconjugated core of 2,2’-(((4,4,9,9-tetrahexyl-4,9-dihydro-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b’]dithiophene-2,7-diyl)bis(methaneylylidene))bis(5,6-dichloro-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-indene-2,1-diylidene))dimalononitrile(IDT-4Cl)with two benzene *** increase of benzene units,TBF-2Cl exhibits higher lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(luMO)level of-3.75 eV than that of one benzene unit based NFA IDT-4Cl and fluorene core based NFA F-2Cl,which facilitates enhancing the open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))of ternary ***,TBF-2Cl film shows a medium optical bandgap with the absorption range from 500-800 nm,being well complementary with the wide bandgap polymer donor D18 and narrow bandgap NFA ***,a remarkable PCE of 18.92%with a high short-circuit current density(J_(sc))of 27.40 mA·cm^(-2),a fill factor(FF)of 0.749,especially an outstanding V_(oc) of 0.922 V was achieved for the optimal ternary device based on D18:TBF-2Cl:CH-6F,surpassing the binary counterpart(17.08%).The findings provide insight into the development of new guest acceptors for obtaining more efficient OSCs.

DepthGAN: GAN-based depth generation from semantic layouts

Existing GAN-based generative methodsare typically used for semantic image synthesis. Wepose the question of whether GAN-based architecturescan generate plausible depth maps and find thatexisting methods have difficulty in generating depthmaps which reasonably represent 3D scene structuredue to the lack of global geometric ***, we propose DepthGAN, a novel method ofgenerating a depth map using a semantic layout asinput to aid construction, and manipulation of wellstructured 3D scene point clouds. Specifically, wefirst build a feature generation model with a cascadeof semantically-aware transformer blocks to obtaindepth features with global structural *** our semantically aware transformer block, wepropose a mixed attention module and a semanticallyaware layer normalization module to better exploitsemantic consistency for depth features ***, we present a novel semantically weighteddepth synthesis module, which generates adaptivedepth intervals for the current scene. We generate thefinal depth map by using a weighted combination ofsemantically aware depth weights for different depthranges. In this manner, we obtain a more accuratedepth map. Extensive experiments on indoor andoutdoor datasets demonstrate that DepthGAN achievessuperior results both quantitatively and visually for thedepth generation task.
