Influence of computation algorithm on the accuracy of rut depth measurement

Rutting is one of the dominant pavement distresses, hence, the accuracy of rut depth measurements can have a substantial impact on the maintenance and rehabilitation （M 8： R） strategies and funding allocation. Different computation algorithms such as straight- edge method and wire line method, which are based on the same raw data, may lead to rut depth estimation which are not always consistent. Therefore, there is an urgent need to assess the impact of algorithm types on the accuracy of rut depth computation. In this paper, a 1B-point-based laser sensor detection technology, commonly accepted in China for rut depth measurements, was used to obtain a database of 85,000 field transverse profiles having three representative rutting shapes with small, medium and high severity rut levels. Based on the reconstruction of real transverse profiles, the consequences from two different algorithms were compared. Results showed that there is a combined effect of rut depth and profile shape on the rut depth computation accuracy. As expected, the dif- ference between the results obtained with the two computation methods increases with deeper rutting sections： when the distress is above 15 mm （severe level）, the average dif- ference between the two computation methods is above 1.5 mm, normally, the wire line method provides larger results. The computation suggests that the rutting shapes have a minimal influence on the results. An in-depth analysis showed that the upheaval outside of the wheel path is a dominant shape factor which results in higher computation differences.

Visible-light induced direct C–H difluoromethylation of quinoxalinones with 2-((difluoromethyl)sulfonyl)benzo[d]thiazole has been developed for the first time.A broad range of quinoxalinones were well tolerated and reacted with difluorosulfone smoothly to give the corresponding products in moderate to good ***,no external photocatalyst or oxidant was required,which provides a practical and green protocol to access difluoromethylated ***,the control experiments demonstrated a radical mechanism,and the density functional theory(DFT)calculations indicated the radicals were generated through the formation of an electron donoracceptor(EDA)complex.

Presently T-wave alternans (TWA) has become a clinical index of non-invasive diagnosis for heart sudden death prediction, and detecting T-wave alternate accurately is particularly important. This paper introduces an algorithm for detecting TWA using Poincare mapping method which is a technique for nonlinear dynamic systems to display periodic behavior. Sample series of beat to beat cycles were selected to prepare Poincare mapping method. Vector Angle Index (VAI), which is the mean of the difference between θi (the angle between the line connecting the i point to the origin and the X axis) and 45 degrees was used to present the presence or absence of TWA. The value of 0.9 rad ≤ VAI ≤ 1.03 rad is accepted as a level determinative for presence of TWA. VAI via Poincare mapping method (PM) is used for correlation analysis with T-wave alternans voltage (Vtwa) by way of the spectral method (SM). The cross-correlation coefficient between Vtwa and VAI is γ = 0.8601. The algorithm can identify the absence and presence of TWA accurately and provide idea for further study of TWA-PM.

Background:Intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR)has negative impacts on the postnatal survival,growth and development of humans and animals,with not only on newborns but also ***,the characteristics for nutrient digestion and absorption in IUGR offspring are still largely ***,the normal birth weight(NBW)and IUGR growing pigs were used in this study to investigate their differences in nutrient utilization,with an expectition for further nutritional optimization of the IUGR offspring during their later ***:Twelve IUGR and 12 NBW growing pigs were fitted with catheters in their portal vein to measure blood flow rate as well as nutrients and metabolites in *** digestibilities of nutrients in different intestinal segments,and bacterial fermentation in the large intestine were examined to reveal the characteristics of nutrients utilization in IUGR versus NBW ***:The rate of portal venous blood flow did not differ beween IUGR and NBW *** concentrations of total cholesterol,triglycerides and glucose were much lower but those of urea were higher in the portal vein of IUGR pigs,compared with the NBW *** ileal digestibility of dry matter,gross energy and starch were lower in IUGR pigs than in NBW *** increased hindgut microbial diversity and bacterial fermentation activity in the *** vitro cross-fermentation of ileal digesta by caecal microbes of NBW and IUGR pigs showed that gas production was much higher for IUGR ileal digesta regardless of the source of caecal ***:IUGR impairs the nutrient digestion and absorption in small intestine,reduces caecal microbial diversity and promotes bacterial fermentation in the large intestine during the growing *** findings aid in our understanding of nutrient metabolism in IUGR pigs and provide the basis for future nutritional interventions.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the clinical efficacy and safety of liangxue Jiedu decoction(LJD) for the treatment of progressive psoriasis vulgaris and to provide the basis for the development of a standardized treatment protocol for psoriasis ***: In this multicenter, randomized, controlled study, patients with blood-heat type psoriasis were randomly assigned to receive either Chinese herbal medicine(LJD;treatment group) or Western Medicine(cetirizine hydrochloride, vitamin C, and vitamin B complex;control group). Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI) scores were calculated in addition to the number of patients who achieved ≥ 50% or ≥ 75% improvement in PASI score from baseline. The change in symptoms of Chinese medicine(color of rash, burning sensation,itchiness, severity of irritation, and anger) was evaluated and safety was assessed as adverse events and laboratory analysis. t test, independent sample non-parametric test and χ2 test were used to analyze the ***: A total of 238 participants were included in the study [treatment group, n = 122(PP analysis117);control group, n = 116(PP analysis 104)]. LJD treatment was associated with a significant improvement in skin lesions and symptoms com-pared with Western Medicine treatment. At the end of the 8-week treatment period, 23.77%(PP analysis 24.79%) of patients in the treatment group had achieved PASI75 and 57.38%(PP analysis 58.97%)had achieved PASI50;the corresponding figures in the control group were 9.48%(9.62%) and 25.00%(25.00%), respectively. The between-group differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: Treatment of psoriasis vulgaris of the blood-heat type using LJD was associated with significantly better outcomes compared with those achieved using standard Western Medicine.

Matrix vesicles(MVs)have shown strong effects in diseases such as vascular ectopic calcification and pathological calcified osteoarthritis and in wound repair of the skeletal system due to their membranous vesicle characteristics and abundant calcium and phosphorus ***,the role of MVs in the progression of osteoporosis is poorly ***,we report that annexin A5,an important component of the matrix vesicle membrane,plays a vital role in bone matrix homeostasis in the deterioration of *** first identified annexin A5 from adherent MVs but not dissociative MVs of osteoblasts and found that it could be sharply decreased in the bone matrix during the occurrence of osteoporosis based on ovariectomized *** then confirmed its potential in mediating the mineralization of the precursor osteoblast lineage via its initial binding with collagen type I to achieve MV adhesion and the subsequent activation of cellular ***,we proved its protective role in resisting bone loss by applying it to osteoporotic *** together,these data revealed the importance of annexin A5,originating from adherent MVs of osteoblasts,in bone matrix remodeling of osteoporosis and provided a new strategy for the treatment and intervention of bone loss.

研究并掌握镁合金板材在不同工艺参数条件下的渐进成形规律对完善镁合金单点温渐进成形工艺有着重要的理论和实际应用价值。以变锥角圆台件为研究对象,以有限元软件ANSYS/LS-DYNA为工具,以成形件的等效应力、减薄率和板厚变化为研究指标,研究了不同工艺参数：成形温度、摩擦条件和工具头直径对AZ31B镁合金板材单点温渐进成形的影响。结果表明：在成形温度为250℃,静摩擦系数为0.2、动摩擦系数为0.1,工具头直径在10~12 mm范围内,AZ31B镁合金板材具有良好的单点渐进成形性能。
