As an elementary particle,a photon that carries information in frequency,polarization,phase,and amplitude,plays a crucial role in modern science and ***,how to retrieve the full information of unknown photons *** ultracompact manner over broad bandwidth remains a challenging task with growing ***,we demonstrate a versatile photonic slide rule based on an ll-silicon metasurface that enables uS to reconstruct incident photons'frequency and polarization *** underlying mechanism relies on the coherent interactions of frequency-driven phase diagrams which rotate at various angular velocities within broad *** rotation direction and speed are determined by the topological charge and phase ***,our metasurface leverages both achromatically focusing and azimuthally evolving phases with topological charges+1 and-1 to ensure the confocal annular intensity *** combination of geometric phase and interference holography allows the joint manipulations of two distinct group delay coverages to realize angle-resolved in-pair spots in *** manner-a behavior that would disperse along longitudinal direction in conventional *** spin-orbital coupling between the incident photons and vortex phases provides routing for the simultaneous identifcation of the photons'frequency and circular polarization state through recognizing the spots'*** work provides an analog of the conventional slide rule to flexibly characterize the photons in an ultracompact and multifunctional way and may find applications in integrated optical circuits or pocketable devices.

Multimodal Emotion Recognition Based on Facial Expression and ECG Signal

As a key link in human-computer interaction,emotion recognition can enable robots to correctly perceive user emotions and provide dynamic and adjustable services according to the emotional needs of different users,which is the key to improve the cognitive level of robot *** recognition based on facial expression and electrocardiogram has numerous industrial ***,three-dimensional convolutional neural network deep learning architecture is utilized to extract the spatial and temporal features from facial expression video data and electrocardiogram(ECG)data,and emotion classification is carried *** two modalities are fused in the data level and the decision level,respectively,and the emotion recognition results are then ***,the emotion recognition results of single-modality and multi-modality are compared and *** the comparative analysis of the experimental results of single-modality and multi-modality under the two fusion methods,it is concluded that the accuracy rate of multi-modal emotion recognition is greatly improved compared with that of single-modal emotion recognition,and decision-level fusion is easier to operate and more effective than data-level fusion.

With the aid of computation, we consider the variable-coefficient coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations with the effects of group-velocity dispersion, self-phase modulation and cross-phase modulation, which have potential applications in the long-distance communication of two-pulse propagation in inhomogeneous optical fibers. Based on the obtained nonisospectral linear eigenvalue problems （i.e. Lax pair）, we construct the Darboux transformation for such a model to derive the optical soliton solutions. In addition, through the one- and two-soliton-like solutions, we graphically discuss the features of picosecond solitons in inhomogeneous optical fibers.

Semi-Measurement-Device-Independent Quantum State Tomography

As a fundamental tool in the quantum information field, quantum state tomography can be used to reconstruct any unknown state. Generally, it needs a tomographically complete set of measurements, such that all measurements are fully characterized. Here, we propose a semi-measurement-device-independent quantum state tomography protocol, which only needs one characterized measurement and a trusted ancillary system. Furthermore, we perform corresponding experiments using linear optics. Our results show that the average state fidelity is as high as 0.973, verifying the effectiveness of the scheme.

CO_(2)flooding in shale oil reservoir with radial borehole fracturing for CO_(2)storage and enhanced oil recovery

This study introduces a novel method integrating CO_(2)flooding with radial borehole fracturing for enhanced oil recovery and CO_(2)underground storage,a solution to the limited vertical stimulation reservoir volume in horizontal well fracturing.A numerical model is established to investigate the production rate,reservoir pressure field,and CO_(2)saturation distribution corresponding to changing time of CO_(2)flooding with radial borehole fracturing.A sensitivity analysis on the influence of CO_(2)injection location,layer spacing,pressure difference,borehole number,and hydraulic fractures on oil production and CO_(2)storage is *** CO_(2)flooding process is divided into four *** in layer spacing will significantly improve oil production rate and gas storage ***,serious gas channeling can occur when the spacing is lower than 20 *** the pressure difference between the producer and injector,the borehole number,the hydraulic fracture height,and the fracture width can also increase the oil production rate and gas storage *** analysis shows that layer spacing and fracture height greatly influence gas storage and oil *** outcomes are expected to provide a theoretical basis for the efficient development of shale oil reservoirs in the vertical direction.

Performance in Grain Yield and Physiological Traits of Rice in the Yangtze River Basin of China During the Last 60 yr

Knowledge on the performance in grain yield and physiological traits is essential to understand the main yield-limiting factor and make strategies for breeding and crop management in rice （Oryza sativa L.）. This study investigated the changes in grain yield and associated physiological traits of rice in the Yangtze River Basin of China during the last 60 yr. Thirteen mid-season indica and 12 japonica rice cultivars that were popularly used were grown in the field in 2008 and 2009. The grain yield and yield components, biomass, leaf area, leaf photosynthesis, root oxidation activity, and harvest index were examined. The results showed that grain yield and grain yield per day have progressively increased during the years and such increases are mainly attributed to the expanded sink size as a result of more spikelets per panicle, especially for the case of super rice. Both biomass and harvest index were increased with the improvement of cultivars. Increase in biomass for modern rice cultivars was associated with an enhancement of leaf area and photosynthesis, root dry weight, and root oxidation activity, although the indica super rice cultivars showed a lower leaf photosynthetic rate and root oxidation activity than the semi-dwarf cultivars during the grain filling period. Both indica and japonica super rice cultivars exhibited a low percentage of filled grains, which may limit their great yield potential. All the data suggested that grain yield have been substantially improved during the 60 yr of rice breeding in the Yangtze River Basin. Expanded sink size, increased dry matter production and harvest index, and enhanced leaf area and photosynthesis, root dry weight, and root oxidation activity contribute to the improvement in grain yield. Increase in filling efficiency could realize the great yield potential in super rice.

In this paper,Co9S8/Ni3S2 nanoflakes(NFs)with sulfur deficiencies were grown in-situ on N-doped graphene nanotubes(NGNTs).They were successfully prepared through electrodeposition followed by hydrogenation treatment,which is able to act as a self-supported electrode for asymmetric supercapacitors(ASCs).Combining the defect-rich active materials with highly conductive skeletons,the hybrid electrode N-GNTs@sd-Co9S8/Ni3S2NFs show ultrahigh specific capacity of^304 mA hg^-1 and prominent rate capability(capacity retention ratio of^85%even at 100 Ag^-1),and deliver a long cycling lifespan of^1.9%capacitance loss after 10000 *** addition,an ASC was constructed using the as-synthesized composite electrode as the positive electrode and active carbon(AC)as the negative *** fabricated device shows a high energy density of^45.1 Wh kg^-1 at^3.4 kW kg^-1 and superior cycling *** work substantiates a smart strategy to fabricate novel composite electrode materials for next-generation supercapacitors by incorporating riched deficiencies into nanostructures.

ANTI-N-METHYL-D-ASPARTATE (NMDA) receptorencephalitis is a newly recognized autoimmunedisease. It is predominantly described in youngwomen with a series of symptoms, includingpersonality change, memory loss, seizures, involuntarymovements, autonomic dysfunction et al.1 It is commonlyassociated with mature ovarian teratomas.2 Since its firstdenomination by Dalmau et al,1 many scientific publicationshave emerged on anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, butonly a few focused on the anesthetic management ofpatients with this disease.3-5 Herein we reported two caseswith anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis in association withovarian teratoma and discussed the anesthetic managementand the outcomes of these patients.
