Modelling and Temperature Control of liquid Cooling Process for lithium-Ion Battery

Efficient thermal management of lithium-ion battery,working under extremely rapid charging-discharging,is of widespread interest to avoid the battery degradation due to temperature rise,resulting in the enhanced ***,thermal management of lithium-ion battery has been performed via a liquid cooling theoretical model integrated with thermoelectric model of battery packs and single-phase heat *** to alleviate the battery temperature fluctuation by automatically manipulating the flow rate of working fluid,a nominal model-free controller,i.e.,fuzzy logic controller is *** optimized on-off controller based on pump speed optimization is introduced to serve as the comparative *** control simulations are conducted under regular operating and extreme operating conditions,and two controllers are applied to control battery temperature with proper intervals which is conducive to enhance the battery charge-discharge *** results indicate that,for any operating condition,the fuzzy logic controller shows excellence in terms of the tracking accuracy of set-point of battery *** to the establishment of fuzzy set and fuzzy behavioral rules,the battery temperature has been throughout maintained near the set point,and the temperature fluctuation amplitude is highly reduced,with better temperature control accuracy of~0.2℃(regular condition)and~0.5℃(extreme condition)compared with~1.1℃(regular condition)and~1.6℃(extreme condition)of optimized on-off *** in the case of extreme operating condition,the proposed optimized on-off controller manifests the hysteresis in temperature fluctuation,which is ascribed to the set of dead-band for the feedback *** simulation results cast new light on the utilization and development of model-free temperature controller for the thermal management of lithium-ion battery.

The design and synthesis of catalysts for the oxidation desulfurization and production of hydrogen are extremely important for solving environmental pollution and energy ***,a novel bifunctional [α-Mo_(8)O_(26)]^(4-)/[β-Mo_(8)O_(26)]^(4-)-based Cu-viologen complex H_(4)[Cu_(2)~ⅠCl_(2)(Hbcbpy)_(4)] [α-Mo_(8)O_(26)] [β-Mo8O_(26)]·H_(2)O(BHU-2,Hbcbpy=1-(4-carboxybenzyl)-4,4'-bipyridinium) was synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction(XRD),infrared radiation spectra,powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) *** structural characteristic of BHU-2 is the presence of two types of octamolybdate clusters [α-Mo_(8)O_(26)]^(4-)/[β-Mo_(8)O_(26)]^(4-)and a new binuclear Cu~Ⅰ-Hbcbpy complex linked by Cl-bridges[Cu_(2)ⅠCl_(2)(Hbcbpy)_(4)]^(4+).BHU-2 as a heterogeneous catalyst exhibits excellent activities to the oxidation desulfurization and photocatalytic hydrogen *** room temperature,BHU-2 can catalyze 96% conversion of methyl phenyl sulfide with 98% selectivity,and the process obeys the pseudo-first-order reaction kinetic with the half-life of9.6 *** notorious 2-chloroethyl ethyl sulfide can achieve 99% conversion with 98% selectivity within only1 min at the presence of BHU-2,and the turnover frequency(TOF) is up to 7400 h^(-1).BHU-2 also exhibits high catalytic activity for the oxidation of other aromatic and aliphatic thioethers within short time at room ***,BHU-2 shows a high catalytic activity for visible-light-driven hydrogen evolution with an H_(2) evolution rate of 1677.85 μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1) within 10 ***,the catalytic activities do not decrease evidently after three cycles,revealing the prominent structural stability and recyclability.

Solvent-free carbon sphere nanofluids towards intelligent lubrication regulation

By simply switching the electrical circuit installed on steel/steel contact,the tribological behaviors of nanofluids(NFs)can be regulated in real time,thereby achieving the desired performance of friction reduction and wear ***,solvent-free carbon spherical nanofluids(C-NFs)were successfully prepared for intelligent lubrication regulation.C-NFs with excellent lubrication performance can immediately reduce the coefficient of friction(COF)despite applying a weak electric potential(1.5 V).Moreover,polyethylene glycol 400(PEG400)containing 5.0 wt%C-NFs remained responsive to electrical stimulation under the intermittent voltage application with an average coefficient of friction(ACOF)reduction of 20.8%over *** intelligent lubrication regulation of C-NFs under an external electric field(EEF)mainly depends on the orderly arranged double-electric adsorption film of ion canopy-adsorbed carbon spheres(CSs).The intermittent electrical application can continuously reinforce the adsorption film and its durability for real-time controlling the sliding ***-stimulation-responsive intelligent lubricants provide a new technical support for realizing intelligent stepless control of devices.

Hybrid Power-line/Visible-light Communication(HPVC)network has been one of the most promising Cooperative Communication(CC)technologies for constructing Smart Home due to its superior communication reliability and hardware *** research on HPVC networks focuses on the performance analysis and optimization of the Physical(PHY)layer,where the Power line Communication(PLC)component only serves as the backbone to provide power to light Emitting Diode(LED)*** designing a Media Access Control(MAC)protocol remains a great challenge because it allows both PLC and Visible light Communication(VLC)components to operate data transmission,i.e.,to achieve a true HPVC network *** solve this problem,we propose a new HPC network MAC protocol(HPVC MAC)based on Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance(CSMA/CA)by combining IEEE 802.15.7 and IEEE 1901 ***,we add an Additional Assistance(AA)layer to provide the channel selection strategies for sensor stations,so that they can complete data transmission on the selected channel via the specified CSMA/CA mechanism,*** on this,we give a detailed working principle of the HPVC MAC,followed by the construction of a joint analytical model for mathematicalmathematical validation of the HPVC *** the modeling process,the impacts of PHY layer settings(including channel fading types and additive noise feature),CSMA/CA mechanisms of 802.15.7 and 1901,and practical configurations(such as traffic rate,transit buffer size)are comprehensively taken into ***,we prove the proposed analytical model has the ***,through extensive simulations,we characterize the HPVC MAC performance under different system parameters and verify the correctness of the corresponding analytical model with an average error rate of 4.62%between the simulation and analytical results.

LaFe_(11.8)Si_(1.2)/10 wt%Ce_(60)Co_(40) composites were prepared by spark plasma sintering and subsequent diffusion annealing.A novel core-shell structure is observed with the LaFe11.8Si1.2 particles as the core and the(La,Ce)_(2)(Fe,Co,Si)_(17)(2:17)phase as the *** diffusion annealing time(t_(a))increases,this core-shell structure is replaced by the formation of the(La,Ce)_(1)(Fe,Co,Si)_(13) *** at 1323 K for 12 h results in samples with(-ΔSM)^(max) of 9.30 J/(kg·K)(Δμ0H=2 T),good mechanical properties((σbc)^(max)=402 MPa,ε=4.21%)and thermal conductivity of 8.7 W/(m·K).Thus,bulk composites with excellent comprehensive properties for magnetic refrigeration are obtained in this work.

Theoretical insights into thermal transport and structural stability mechanisms of triaxial compressed methane hydrate

The heat transfer and stability of methane hydrate in reservoirs have a direct impact on the drilling and production efficiency of hydrate resources,especially in complex stress environments caused by formation *** this study,we investigated the thermal transport and structural stability of methane hydrate under triaxial compression using molecular dynamics *** results suggest that the thermal conductivity of methane hydrate increases with increasing compression *** phonon transport mechanisms were identified as factors enhancing thermal *** low compressive strains,a low-frequency phonon transport channel was established due to the overlap of phonon vibration peaks between methane and water *** high compressive strains,the filling of larger phonon bandgaps facilitated the opening of more phonon transport ***,we found that a strain of􀀀0.04 is a watershed point,where methane hydrate transitions from stable to ***,a strain of􀀀0.06 marks the threshold at which the diffusion capacities of methane and water molecules are at their *** a higher strain of􀀀0.08,the increased volume compression reduces the available space,limiting the diffusion ability of water and methane molecules within the *** synergistic effect of the strong diffusion ability and high probability of collision between atoms increases the thermal conductivity of hydrates during the unstable period compared to the stable *** findings offer valuable theoretical insights into the thermal conductivity and stability of methane hydrates in reservoir stress environments.

Super-high bed sintering for iron ores:behaviors,causes and solutions of horizontal segregation on strand

Horizontal segregation has been a constraint to the development and application of super-high bed *** eliminate the horizontal segregation of super-high bed sintering,several typical sintering machines were sampled and analyzed,and theoretical calculation was made to compare the bed depth and their differences in different areas within the mixture ***,solutions were proposed and applied to a 265 m^(2) sintering *** results showed that the horizontal seg-regation of the 265 m^(2) sintering machine was dominated by particles larger than 8 mm with horizontal segregation degree of 0.48,while 360 and 550 m^(2) sintering machines were affected by 5-8 mm and 1-3 mm particles with horizontal segregation degree of 0.27 and 0.31,*** analysis indicated the different segregation distribution results from the matching of the bed depth of each area within the mixture ***,the horizontal segregation degree not larger than 0.06 was achieved by optimizing the time parameters and the division of three zones on the 265 m^(2) sintering machine.

Super-high bed sintering for iron ores: inhomogeneous phenomena and its mechanism during mineralizing

The inhomogeneous sinter properties in super-high bed sintering have been reported in our previous *** inves-tigate the reasons for the inhomogeneous phenomena,detailed sampling and analysis of mixed material bed and sintered bed in super-high bed sintering plant were *** results indicated that the higher porosity and thinner dendrite of silico-ferrite of calcium and aluminum in the upper layer as well as dense structure and higher secondary hematite content in the lower layer led to the heterogeneities of mechanical strength and reduction properties exceeding 20%and 10%,*** the bed top downward,the basicity of mixed material decreased from 2.13 to 1.68 because the average particle size increased from 2.65 to 4.56 *** and fuels gathered in finer particles(-3 mm)of mixed material,and the-3 mm particles of mixed material generated more liquid phase than+3 mm *** heat input of super-high sintering bed was inhomogeneous due to the heat accumulation effect and unreasonable fuel *** inhomo-geneous sintering heat condition in sintering bed resulted in the different quantities and properties of liquid *** inhomogeneous quantities and properties of liquid phase that were influenced by inhomogeneous distribution of chemical composition,particle size,and heat input led to inhomogeneous mineralizing *** mineralizing condition is the key for homogeneous super-high bed sintering.

Bending Failure Mode and Prediction Method of the Compressive Strain Capacity of A Submarine Pipeline with Dent Defects

A dent is a common type of defects for submarine *** submarine pipelines,high hydrostatic pressure and internal pressure are the main *** pipelines bend due to complex subsea conditions,the compression strain capacity may be *** into the local buckling failure and accurate prediction of the compressive strain capacity are important.A finite element model of a pipeline with a dent is *** buckling failure under a bending moment is investigated,and the compressive strain capacity is *** effects of different parameters on pipeline local buckling are *** results show that the dent depth,external pressure and internal pressure lead to different local buckling failure modes of the pipeline.A higher internal pressure indicates a larger compressive strain capacity,and the opposite is true for external *** the ratio of external pressure to collapse pressure of intact pipeline is greater than 0.1,the deeper the dent,the greater the compressive strain capacity of the *** as the ratio is less than 0.1,the opposite is *** the basis of these results,a regression equation for predicting the compressive strain capacity of a dented submarine pipeline is proposed,which can be referred to during the integrity assessment of a submarine pipeline.
