Objective Up to 45% of total organic carbon(TOC) was probably lost during acid treatment in carbonate-rich rocks(Froelich, 1980). Some scientists thought these acidsoluble organic matters were largely contributed from carboxylic acid salts, which were commonly developed in alkaline carbonate formations and could potentially be excellent sources for natural gas stored in Early Paleozoic carbonate rocks in the Ordos Basin(Chong and McKay, 1984;liu et al., 2017).

The most important process before leaf senescence is nutrient resorption,which reduces nutrient loss and maximizes plant fitness during the subsequent growth ***,plants must retain certain levels of nitrogen(N)in their leaves to maintain carbon assimilation during *** objective of this study was to investigate the tradeoffs in N investment between leaf N resorption and N for photosynthesis in seedlings with increased soil fertility during the hardening period.A field experiment was conducted to determine if and how soil fertility treatments(17,34,or 68 mg N seedling−1)affected N resorption and allocation to the photosynthetic apparatus in Quercus mongolica leaves during the hardening *** were sampled at T1(after terminal bud formation),T2(between terminal bud formation and end of the growing period),and T3(at the end of the growing period).Results showed that photosynthetic N content continued to rise in T2,while N resorption started from non-photosynthetic *** N allocation to the photosynthetic apparatus increased as soil fertility increased,delaying N ***,soil fertility significantly affected N partitioning among different photosynthetic components,maintaining or increasing photosynthetic traits during *** study demonstrates a tradeoff in N investment between resorption and photosynthesis to maintain photosynthetic assimilation capacity during the hardening period,and that soil fertility impacts this *** leaves primarily resorbed N from the non-photosynthetic apparatus and invested it in the photosynthetic apparatus,whereas different photosynthetic N component allocations effectively improved this pattern.

In order to develop an innovative omnidirectional non-homonymic flexible chassis(FC),the four-wheel steering control method of FC was designed by a new concept called off-centered steering(OCS)and the automatic tracking steering system was *** of this wheel concept lies in the non-conventional positioning of the steering axis and wheel ***,the steering axis of steerable wheel was motorized with an on/off electrometrical brake to overcome a hyper-motorization issue inherent to the wheel’s geometrical properties and hold the steering *** on the off-centered steering characteristics of FC,the Wheatstone bridge was applied in the steering control *** bridge resistances are used to track target steering angles and the actual steering angle,*** output voltage of the bridge is exploited to adjust the wheel’s speed so that steering and automatic tracking could be *** at different speeds,loadings,and target steering angles were *** showed that the chassis can indeed be controlled independently and its steering range is from-90°to 90°,which indicated the automatic tracking steering system was *** electromagnetic lock(EL)can significantly improve the stability of the chassis and reduce the *** has no significant effect on the accuracy of the steering angle and the time it takes to complete steering *** time taken to complete a forward steering task showed a linear relationship with the required angles,but was independent of rotation speed;for backward steering,time was related to both target angles and rotation *** results presented in this research may provide a reference for the steering control strategies of the four-wheel individual drive and four-wheel(4WID/4WIS)vehicle in the future.

Na^(+)batteries(SIBs)have been emerging as the most promising candidate for the next generation of secondary ***,the development of high-performance and cost-effective anode materials is urgently needed for the large-scale applications of *** this study,carbon dots confined bimetallic sulfide(NiCO_(2)S_(4))architecture(NiCO_(2)S_(4)@CDs)was proposed and synthesized from assembling nanosheets into cross-stacked superstructure and the subsequent confinement of carbon *** novel decussated structure assembly from nanosheets is greatly beneficial to the structure stability of electrode material during the successive charge/discharge ***,the CDs based carbon conductive network can enhance the electrical conductivity for facilitating the easy transport of electron/Na^(+).Benefitting from these advantages,NiCO_(2)S_(4)@CDs exhibits high-rate performance and an ultralong cycling life in ***,the specific capacity of NiCO_(2)S_(4)@CDs can reach the discharge specific capacity as high as 568.9 mAh/g at 0.5 A/g,which can also maintain 302.7 m Ah/g after 750 cycles at 5.0 A/***,ex-situ characterization techniques such as ex-situ XRD and ex-situ XPS were employed to further explore the sodium storage mechanism of the NiCO_(2)S_(4)@CDs anode.

Tea domain transcription factor 4 (TEAD4) plays a pivotal role in tissue development and homeostasis by interacting with Yesassociated protein (YAP) in response to Hippo signaling inactivation. TEAD4 and YAP can also cooperate with transforminggrowth factor-β (TGF-β)-activated Smad proteins to regulate gene transcription. Yet, it remains unclear whether TEAD4 playsa YAP-independent role in TGF-β signaling. Here, we unveil a novel tumor suppressive function of TEAD4 in liver cancer viamitigating TGF-β signaling. Ectopic TEAD4 inhibited TGF-β-induced signal transduction, Smad transcriptional activity, and targetgene transcription, consequently suppressing hepatocellular carcinoma cell proliferation and migration in vitro and xenografttumorgrowth in mice. Consistently, depletion of endogenous TEAD4 by siRNAs enhanced TGF-β signaling in cancer cells. Mechanistically,TEAD4 associates with receptor-regulated Smads (Smad2/3) and Smad4 in the nucleus, thereby impairing the binding of Smad2/3to the histone acetyltransferase p300. Intriguingly, these negative effects of TEAD4 on TGF-β/Smad signaling are independent ofYAP, as impairing the TEAD4–YAP interaction through point mutagenesis or depletion of YAP and/or its paralog TAZ has little ***, these results unravel a novel function of TEAD4 in fine tuning TGF-β signaling and liver cancer progression in a YAPindependent manner.
