Vanadium flow batteries(VFBs)have drawn considerable attention as an emerging technology for largescale energy storage systems(ESSs).One of the pivotal challenges is the availability of eligible ion exchange membranes(ICMs)that provide high ion selectivity,proton conductivity,and stability under rigorous ***,a‘side-chain-type’strategy has been employed to fabricate highly stable phenolphthalein-based cardo poly(arylene ether ketone)s(PAEKs)membrane with low area resistance(0.058Ωcm^(2)),in which flexible alkyl spacers effectively alleviated inductive withdrawing effect from terminal ion exchange groups thus enabling a stable *** assembled VFBs based on PAEKs bearing pendent alkyl chain terminated with q.aternary ammonium(q.PPhEK)demonstrated an energy efficiency above 80%over 700 cycles at 160 mA/cm^(2).Such a remarkable results revealed that the side-chain-type strategy contributed to enhancing the ICMs stability in strong oxidizing environment,meanwhile,more interesting backbones would be woken with this design engaging in stable ICMs for VFBs.

The superτ-charm facility(STCF)is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics *** is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of 0.5×10^(35) cm^(–2)·s^(–1) or *** STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the presentτ-charm factory—the BEPCII,providing a uniq.e platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter(charge-parity violation),in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions,as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard *** STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&D *** document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF,describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system,and discusses future plans for detector R&D and physics case studies.

The nucleus of Darkschewitsch(ND), mainly composed of GABAergic neurons, is widely recognized as a component of the eye-movement controlling system. However, the functional contribution of ND GABAergic neurons(NDGABA) in animal behavior is largely unknown. Here, we show that NDGABA neurons were selectively activated by different types of fear stimuli, such as predator odor and foot *** and chemogenetic manipulations revealed that NDGABA neurons mediate freezing ***, using circuit-based optogenetic and neuroanatomical tracing methods, we identified an excitatory pathway from the lateral periaq.eductal gray(l PAG) to the ND that induces freezing by exciting ND inhibitory outputs to the motor-related gigantocellular reticular nucleus, ventral part(Gi V). Together,these findings indicate the NDGABA population as a novel hub for controlling defensive response by relaying fearful information from the l PAG to Gi V, a mechanism critical for understanding how the freezing behavior is encoded in the mammalian brain.

For accurately identifying the distribution charac-teristic of Gaussian-like noises in unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)state estimation,this paper proposes a non-parametric scheme based on curve similarity *** the framework of the pro-posed scheme,a Parzen window(kernel density estimation,KDE)method on sliding window technology is applied for roughly esti-mating the sample probability density,a precise data probability density function(PDF)model is constructed with the least sq.are method on K-fold cross validation,and the testing result based on evaluation method is obtained based on some data characteristic analyses of curve shape,abruptness and *** com-parison simulations with classical methods and UAV flight exper-iment shows that the proposed scheme has higher recognition accuracy than classical methods for some kinds of Gaussian-like data,which provides better reference for the design of Kalman filter(KF)in complex water environment.

We present a theoretical study of the medium modifications of the p_(T)balance (x_(J)) of dijets in Xe+Xe collisions at■.The initial production of dijets was carried out using the POWHEG+PYTHIA8 prescription,which matches the next-toleading-order (NLO) q.D matrix elements with the parton shower (PS) *** SHELL model described the in-medium evolution of nucleus–nucleus collisions using a transport *** theoretical results of the dijet xJin the Xe+Xe collisions exhibit more imbalanced distributions than those in the p+p collisions,consistent with recently reported ATLAS *** utilizing the Interleaved Flavor Neutralisation,an infrared-and-collinear-safe jet flavor algorithm,to identify the flavor of the reconstructed jets,we classify dijets processes into three categories:gluon–gluon (gg),q.ark–gluon (q.),and q.ark–q.ark (q.),and investigated the respective medium modification patterns and fraction changes of the gg,q.,and q. components of the dijet sample in Xe+Xe *** is shown that the increased fraction of q. component at a small x_(J)contributes to the imbalance of the dijet;in particular,the q.(1)g_(2)(q.ark-jet-leading) dijets experience more significant asymmetric energy loss than the g_(1)q.(2)(gluon-jet-leading) dijets traversing the *** comparing the■of inclusive,■ dijets in Xe+Xe collisions,we observe■.Moreover,ρ_(Xe),P_(b),the ratios of the nuclear modification factors of dijets in Xe+Xe to those in Pb+Pb,were calculated,which indicates that the yield suppression of dijets in Pb+Pb is more pronounced than that in Xe+Xe owing to the larger radius of the lead nucleus.

NEDD8(Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally downregulated protein 8)is an ubiq.itin-like protein that is covalently attached to a lysine residue of a protein substrate through a process known as neddylation,catalyzed by the enzyme cascade,namely NEDD8 activating enzyme(E1),NEDD8 conjugating enzyme(E2),and NEDD8 ligase(E3).The substrates of neddylation are categorized into cullins and non-cullin *** of cullins activates CRLs(cullin RING ligases),the largest family of E3 ligases,whereas neddylation of non-cullin substrates alters their stability and activity,as well as subcellular ***,the neddylation pathway and/or many neddylation substrates are abnormally activated or over-expressed in various human diseases,such as metabolic disorders,liver dysfunction,neurodegenerative disorders,and cancers,among ***,targeting neddylation becomes an attractive strategy for the treatment of these *** this review,we first provide a general introduction on the neddylation cascade,its biochemical process and regulation,and the crystal structures of neddylation enzymes in complex with cullin substrates;then discuss how neddylation governs various key biological processes via the modification of cullins and non-cullin *** further review the literature data on dysregulated neddylation in several human diseases,particularly cancer,followed by an outline of current efforts in the discovery of small molecule inhibitors of neddylation as a promising therapeutic ***,few perspectives were proposed for extensive future investigations.
