The hepatopancreatic duct (HPD) system links the liver and pancreas to the intestinal tube and is composed of the extrahepatic biliary duct, gallbladder, and pancreatic duct. Haematopoietically expressed-homeobox (Hhex) protein plays an essential role in the establishment of HPD;however, the molecular mechanism remains elusive. Here, we show that zebrafish hhex-null mutants fail to develop the HPD system characterized by lacking the biliary marker Annexin A4 and the HPD marker sox9b. The hepatobiliary duct part of the mutant HPD system is replaced by an intrahepatic intestinal tube characterized by expressing the intestinal marker fatty acid-binding protein 2a (fabp2a). Cell lineage analysis showed that this intrahepatic intestinal tube is not originated from hepatocytes or cholangiocytes. Further analysis revealed that cdx1b and pdx1 are expressed ectopically in the intrahepatic intestinal tube and knockdown of cdx1b and pdx1 could restore the expression of sox9b in the mutant. Chromatin-immunoprecipitation analysis showed that Hhex binds to the promoters of pdx1 and cdx1b genes to repress their expression. We therefore propose that Hhex, Cdx1b, Pdx1, and Sox9b form a genetic network governing the patterning and morphogenesis of the HPD and digestive tract systems in zebrafish.

In vertebrates,body weight increases many folds as a consequence of body growth from the childhood to adulthood（e.g.,～20 folds for a mouse）.Considering the fact that the liver-to-body weight ratio（LBR）stays relatively constant within species（Weglarz and Sandgren,2000;Kan et al.,2009）,the cell number in a liver must therefore keep increasing along with the growth of an individual organism. For example, during the growth of the zebrafish from 5 days post-fertilization （dpf） to 1.5 years old, the number of liver cells increased -900 folds （Figs. 1A and S1 ）.

Ribosomes are large RNA and protein complexes that function as the machinery for translation protein synthesis （Boisvert et al., 2007; Ben-Shem et al., 2011： Henras et al., 2015： Kbatter et al., 2015; McCann et al., 2015）. The eukaryotic ribosome is composed of two subunits, the 60S large subunit （LSU） and the 40S small sub- unit （SSU）, which collectively comprise of four different ribosomal RNA （rRNA） species and more than 70 proteins （Ben-Sbem et al., 2011： Henras et al., 2015; Khatter et al., 2015）. The LSU contains the 28S, 5.8S and 5S rRNAs and the SSU contains the 18S rRNA. The assembly of each subunit is initiated in the nucleolus using the respective rRNAs as backbones （Ben-Shem et al., 2011; Henras et al., 2015; Khatter et al., 2015）.

Resource-dependent cities(RCs)are a vulnerable group of urban settlements that often face population shrinkage;however,population changes in RCs in China are not well *** study offers new insight into this matter through a robust analysis that features a longer time scale,a larger sample of RCs,and a finer unit of *** finds new evidence that problems of population shrinkage in RCs are more serious than previous literature has *** 30%of the studied units have experienced either long-term or short-term population shrinkage,and many more are experiencing a slowing down of population *** are especially common among three types of RCs:the resource-depleted RCs,the forestry-based RCs,and RCs in Northeast *** results underscore transition policy inadequacies in addressing population loss,and call for a more comprehensive and diversified population policy that tackles the multifaceted factors that contribute to population shrinkage,including lack of industrial support,maladjustment to market oriented reformation,poor urban environment and natural population decline.

The number of Android applications has increased rapidly as Android is becoming the dominant platform in the smartphone market. Security and privacy are key factors for an Android application to be successful. Android provides a permission mechanism to ensure security and privacy. This permission mechanism requires that developers declare the sensitive resources required by their applications. On installation or during runtime, users are required to agree with the permission request. However, in practice, there are numerous popular permission misuses, despite Android introducing official documents stating how to use these permissions properly. Some data mining techniques(e.g., association rule mining) have been proposed to help better recommend permissions required by an API. In this paper, based on popular techniques used to build recommendation systems, we propose two novel approaches to improve the effectiveness of the prior work. The first approach utilizes a collaborative filtering technique, which is inspired by the intuition that apps that have similar features — inferred from their APIs — usually share similar permissions. The second approach recommends permissions based on a text mining technique that uses a naive Bayes multinomial classification algorithm to build a prediction model by analyzing descriptions of apps. To evaluate these two approaches, we use 936 Android apps from F-Droid, which is a repository of free and open source Android applications. We find that our proposed approaches yield a significant improvement in terms of precision, recall, F1-score, and MAP of the top-k results over the baseline approach.

The economic transformation of the old industrial bases is a key research topic among geographers in *** this paper,we propose that the concept of regional economic resilience(RER)has unique theoretical value in analyzing the economic transformation of the old industrial *** constructed an analytical framework and an index system and applied the conceptual tools to study the evolution of RER in the old industrial base of liaoning Province in China,which is currently subjected to not only sudden shocks but‘slow burn’—longer term processes of change that may nevertheless affect the regional *** are four main findings:first,the evolution of RER in liaoning can be divided into four stages from 2000 to *** is currently in its conservation-release period,and the next stage will be a release-reorganization ***,the RER of the majority of the studied cities is lower than the average value for liaoning,and this is mainly attributed to the relatively weak vulnerability-resistance and adaptability-transformation capacity of these ***,the RER levels of the 14 cities in liaoning differ *** the first level is Shenyang and Dalian,at the second level is Dandong and Yingkou,and the third level comprises the remaining ***,regional economic resilience is mainly determined by vulnerability-resistance,which indirectly reflects liaoning’s lack of adaptability-transformation capacity,and the ability of the region to renew or create a new development path is weak.

The effective use of land in Northeast China is of great significance for ensuring national food security and regional rural *** this study,based on the survey data collected from Jilin Province,Northeast China,we analyzed the vacancy rates of rural homesteads in suburban,outer suburban,and remote villages,as well as the withdrawal intention of rural-settled farmers,urbansettled farmers,and farmers with urban and rural dual residency from vacant *** the perspective of farmers’perceptions,this study constructed a theoretical framework of the influence mechanism of their withdrawal intention and analyzed such mechanism by constructing a structural equation *** results indicated that:1)rural homestead vacancy rates increased with distance from the village to the city.2)rural-settled farmers showed a low withdrawal intention for vacant rural homesteads,followed by urban and rural dual-residence farmers,and urban-settled farmers showed the highest withdrawal intention.3)the relative importance of the factors influencing withdrawal intention is in the following order:policy awareness>interest perception>living environment perception>family ***,this study discussed the reformation of the homestead system and rural homestead transition in Northeast China,which can provide policy support to increase the potential of cultivated land and promote sustainable rural development and urban-rural coordination.
