We proposed a lattice Boltzmann model for the Rossler equation. Using a method of multiscales in the lattice Boltzmann model, we get the ditheion reaction as a special case. If the diffusion effect disappeared, we can obtain the lattice Boltzmann solution of the Rossler equation on the mesescopic scale. The numericale results show the method can be used to simulate Rossler equation.

It is known that the standard lattice Boltzmann method has near-vacuum limit,i. e., when the density is near zero, this method is invalid. In this letter, we propose a shople lattice Boltzmann model for one-dimensional fiows. It possesses the ability of simulating near vacuum area by setting a limitation of the relaxation factor. Thus, the model overcomes the disadvantage of non-physical pressure and the density. The numerical examples show these results are satisfactory.

In practice, the unknown parameters are often restricted. This paper provides a general method for constructing the fiducial intervals of the restricted parameters. Applying the general method, the fiducial intervals are constructed for the location (scale)parameters and the difference (ratio) of two locations (scales) in a location (scale) family of distributions. The frequency properties of these intervals are verified. For a variance components model, the fiducial intervals for the three parameters of common interest are obtained. Their frequency properties are investigated theoretically and computationally.

In this paper the dynamics of a weakly nonlinear {1. subjected to combined parametric and external excitation are discussed. The existence of transversal homoclinic orbits resulting in chaotic dynamics and bifurcation are established by using the averaging method and Melnikov method. Numerical simulations are also provided to demonstrate the theoretical analysis.

Abstract The left semi-tensor product of matrices was proposed in [2]. In this paper the right semi-tensor product is introduced first. Some basic properties are presented and compared with those of the left semi-tensor *** two new applications are investigated. Firstly, its applications to connection, an important concept in differential geometry, is considered. The structure matrix and the Christoffel matrix are introduced. The transfer formulas under coordinate transformation are expressed in matrix form. Certain new results are obtained. Secondly, the structure of finite dimensional lie algebra, etc. are investigated under the matrix *** applications demonstrate the usefulness of the new matrix products.
