In this paper,the weak pre-orthogonal adaptive Fourier decomposition(w-POAFD)method is applied to solve fractional boundary value problems(FBVPs)in the reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces(RkHSs)w_(0)^(4)[0,1] and w^(1)[0,1].The process of the w-POAFD is as follows:(i)choose a dictionary and implement the pre-orthogonalization to all the dictionary elements;(ii)select points in[0,1]by the weak maximal selection principle to determine the corresponding orthonormalized dictionary elements iteratively;(iii)express the analytical solution as a linear combination of these determined dictionary *** properties of numerical solutions are also *** numerical experiments are carried out to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of w-POAFD for solving FBVPs.

Hovering ability is one of the most desired features in Flapping-wing Micro Air Vehicles （Fw-MAVs）. This paper presents a hybrid design of flapping wing and fixed wing, which combines two flapping wings and two fixed wings to take advantage of the double wing clap-and-fling effect for high thrust production, and utilizes the fixed wings as the stabilizing surfaces for inherently stable hovering flight. Force measurement shows that the effect of wing clap-and-fling significantly enhances the cycle-averaged vertical thrust up to 44.82% at 12.4 Hz. The effect of ventral wing clap-and-fling due to presence of fixed wings produces about 11% increase of thrust-to-power ratio, and the insect-inspired Fw-MAV can produce enough cycle-averaged vertical thrust of 14.76 g for lift-offat 10 Hz, and 24 g at maximum frequency of 12.4 Hz. Power measurement indicates that the power consumed for aerodynamic forces and wing inertia, and power loss due to gearbox friction and mechanism inertia was about 80% and 20% of the total input power, respectively. The proposed insect-inspired Fw-MAV could endure three-minute flight, and demonstrate a good flight performance in terms of vertical take-off, hovering, and control with an onboard 3.7 V-70 mAh LiPo battery and control system.

we propose an ex vivo T cell expansion system that mimics natural antigen-presenting cells(APCs)for adoptive cell therapy(ACT).Microfiber scaffolds coated with dendritic cell(DC)membrane replicate physicochemical properties of dendritic cells specific for T cell activation such as rapid recognition by T cells,long duration of T cell tethering,and DC-specific co-stimulatory *** DC membrane-coated scaffold is first surface-immobilized with T cell stimulatory ligands,anti-CD3(αCD3)and anti-CD28(αCD28)antibodies,followed by adsorption of releasable interleukin-2(IL-2).The scaffolds present both surface and soluble cues to T cells ex vivo in the same way that these cues are presented by natural APCs in *** demonstrate that the DC-mimicking scaffold promotes greater polyclonal expansion of primary human T cells as compared toαCD3/αCD28-func-tionalized *** importantly,major histocompatibility complex molecules derived from the DC membrane of the scaffold allow antigen-specific T cell expansion with target cell-specific killing *** addition,most of the expanded T cells(~97%)can be harvested from the scaffold by density gradient ***,the DC-mimicking scaffold offers a scalable,modular,and customizable platform for rapid expansion of highly functional T cells for ACT.

Helicobacter pylori is a highly successful bacterium with a high global prevalence and the infection carries significant disease burden. It is also becoming increasingly difficult to eradicate and the main reason for this is growing primary antibiotic resistance rates in a world where antibiotics are frequently prescribed and readily available. Despite knowing much more about the bacterium since its discovery, such as its genomic makeup and pathogenesis, we have seen declining treatment success. Therefore, clinicians today must be prepared to face one, two or even multiple treatment failures, and should be equipped with sufficient knowledge to decide on the appropriate salvage therapy when this happens. This article discusses the factors contributing to treatment failure and reviews the second and thirdline treatment strategies that have been investigated. Established empiric second line treatment options include both bismuth based quadruple therapy and levofloxacin based triple therapy. Antibiotic testing is recommended prior to initiating third line treatment. In the event that antibiotic susceptibility testing is unavailable, third line treatment options include rifabutin, rifaximin and sitafloxacin based therapies.

This paper focuses on the visual servo control of an uncalibrated robotic arm with an eye-in-hand camera. without a prior knowledge of the kinematics of the robotic arm or camera calibration, the proposed hybrid Jacobian controller can track a moving object using visual feedback and joint-space velocity feedback. The proposed hybrid control method is a combination of the uncalibrated visual servoing and approximate Jacobian feedback control. First, the Jacobian matrix from joint-space to image-space is estimated by recursive least-squares (RLS) algorithm, and then the approximate Jacobian feedback controller is designed by using visual feedback and joint-space velocity feedback. The performances of the proposed control methods are illustrated by computer simulations.
