Viral diseases are minacious with the potential for causing pandemics and treatment is complicated because of their inherent ability to mutate and become resistant to drugs. Antiviral drug resistance is a persistent problem that needs continuous attention by scientists, medical professionals, and government agencies. to solve the problem, an in-depth understanding of the intricate interplay between causes of antiviral drug resistance and potential new drugs specifically natural products is imperative in the interest and safety of public health. this review delves into natural product as reservoir for antiviral agents with the peculiar potentials for addressing the complexities associated with multi-drug resistant and emerging viral strains. An evaluation of the mechanisms underlying antiviral drug activity, antiviral drug resistance is addressed, with emphasis on production of broad-spectrum antiviral agents from natural sources. there is a need for continued natural product-based research, identification of new species and novel compounds.

Single-shot X-ray phase-contrast imaging is used to take high-resolution images of laser-driven strong shock *** a two-grating talbot interferometer,we successfully acquire standard absorption,differential phase-contrast,and dark-field images of the shocked *** agreement is demonstrated between experimental data and the results of two-dimensional radiation hydrodynamics simulations of the laser-plasma *** main sources of image noise are identified through a thorough assessment of the interferometer’s *** acquired images demonstrate that grating-based phase-contrast imaging is a powerful diagnostic tool for high-energy-density *** addition,we make a novel attempt at using the dark-field image as a signal modality of talbot interferometry to identify the microstructure of a foam target.

the primary role of the gonadal steroid hormones in mammals is to regulate reproduction and related behaviors; however, both androgens and estrogens are also integrally involved in mediating higher brain function and processes including cognition, neural development, and neural plasticity. In particular, a number of studies show that estradiol modulates dendritic spine growth and synapse density （synaptic plasticity） in the hippocampus of females, and that increased estradiol levels are generally associated with improvements on a variety of learning and memory tasks. While the majority of research has focused on the beneficial effects of estradiol in females, much less attention has been given to testosterone and its effects on learning and memory in males. Similar to estradiol titers in females, testosterone titers in males decline with age, albeit more gradually, and this decline has been correlated with impairment of certain cognitive tasks. Moreover, studies involving both humans and animals indicate that testosterone and its metabolites can augment responding on certain behavioral tasks, depending on the subject＇s current hormonal state, the response required, and the stimuli involved （e.g., those involving spatial or nonspatial stimuli）. While the exact mechanisms by which testosterone exerts its effects on learning and memory are not fully understood, recent findings suggest that testosterone modulates learning and memory in males through an interaction with the cholinergic system. the overall objective of this review is to discuss studies investigating the role of the gonadal hormones in mediating learning and memory processes in male mammals [Current Zoology 57 （4）： 543-558, 2011].

Background:Deep body temperature is a critical indicator of heat ***,direct measures are often invasive,costly,and difficult to implement in the *** study assessed the agreement between deep body temperature estimated from heart rate and that measured directly during repeated work bouts while wearing explosive ordnance disposal(EOD)protective clothing and during ***:Eight males completed three work and recovery periods across two separate *** consisted of treadmill walking on a 1%incline at 2.5,4.0,or 5.5 km/h,in a random order,wearing EOD protective *** temperature and relative humidity were maintained at 24℃and 50%[Wet bulb globe temperature(WBGt)(20.9±1.2)℃]or 32℃and 60%[WBGt(29.0±0.2)℃]on the separate days,*** rate and gastrointestinal temperature(tGI)were monitored continuously,and deep body temperature was also estimated from heart rate(ECtemp).Results:the overall systematic bias between tGI and ECtemp was 0.01℃with 95%limits of agreement(Lo A)of±0.64℃and a root mean square error of 0.32℃.the average error statistics among participants showed no significant differences in error between the exercise and recovery periods or the environmental *** tGI levels of(37.0–37.5)℃,(37.5–38.0)℃,(38.0–38.5)℃,and>38.5℃,the systematic bias and±95%Lo A were(0.08±0.58)℃,(–0.02±0.69)℃,(–0.07±0.63)℃,and(–0.32±0.56)℃,***:the findings demonstrate acceptable validity of the ECtemp up to 38.5℃.Conducting work within an ECtemp limit of 38.4℃,in conditions similar to the present study,would protect the majority of personnel from an excessive elevation in deep body temperature(>39.0℃).

As a speaker communicates with a hearer,the speaker’s attention can come to be on a particular entityher " target"—that she wants to communicate about to the *** target can be located near or far in either the speech-external(deictic) or the speech-internal(anaphoric) *** thus needs the hearer to know what her intended target is and to have his attention on it jointly with her *** problem,though,is how to bring this *** cannot somehow reach into the hearer’s cognition and directly place his focus of attention on her selected *** solves this problem by initiating a certain two-stage procedure in the hearer’s *** this function,it uses a specialized set of mostly closed-class lexical forms;" triggers".English triggers include;this/ these,that/those,here,there,yonder,now,then,thus,so,such,yay,thisaway,thataway,personal pronouns, relative pronouns,and tense *** speaker initiates the hearer’s procedure by placing a trigger at the relevant point in the current sentence of her *** the first stage,the trigger directs the hearer to find certain elements of information to which he does have ready *** are "cues" to the speaker’s intended *** cues belong to ten distinct categories,representing ten different sources of *** the second stage,equipped with the cues he has found,the hearer uses them in combination to determine the speaker’s intended target.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men, with 1.1 million new cases worldwide reported by the World Health Organization in one recent year. transrectal ultrasound （tRUS）-guided biopsy has been used for the diagnosis of prostate cancer for over 2 decades, but the technique is usually blind to cancer location. Moreover, the false negative rate of tRUS biopsy has been reported to be as high as 47%. Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging （mp-MRI） includes t1- and t2-weighted imaging as well as dynamic contrast-enhanced （DCE） and diffusion-weighted imaging （DWI）. mp-MRI is a major advance in the imaging of prostate cancer, enabling targeted biopsy of suspicious lesions. Evolving targeted biopsy techniquesmincluding direct in-bore biopsy, cognitive fusion and software-based MRI-ultrasound （MRI-US） fusion--have led to a several-fold improvement in cancer detection compared to the earlier method. Importantly, the detection of clinically significant cancers has been greatly facilitated by targeting, compared to systematic biopsy alone. targeted biopsy via MRI-US fusion may dramatically alter the way prostate cancer is diagnosed and managed.
