Genetic variation is a key factor influencing cytokine production capacity,but which genetic loci regulate cytokine production before and after vaccination,particularly in African population is ***,we aimed to identify single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)controlling cytokine responses after microbial stimulation in infants of West-African ancestry,comprising of low-birth-weight neonates randomized to bacillus calmette-Gue rin(BcG)vaccine-at-birth or to the usual delayed ***-wide cytokine cytokine quantitative trait loci(cQTL)mapping revealed 12 independent loci,of which the LINc01082-LINc00917 locus influenced more than half of the cytokine-stimulation pairs ***,nine distinct cQTLs were found among infants randomized to *** validation confirmed that several complement genes affect cytokine response after BcG *** observed a limited overlap of common cQTLs between the West-African infants and cohorts of Western European *** data reveal strong population-specific genetic effects on cytokine production and may indicate new opportunities for therapeutic intervention and vaccine development in African populations.

Recent reports have demonstrated that the new commercially available immobilized-type chiral stationary phases（cSPs） containing amylose tris（3-chloro-5-methylphenylcarbamate）（AcMPc） as a selector exhibit not only an exceptionally high enantioselectivity in high-performance liquid chromatography（hPLc） but they are also applicable to a wide range of chiral analytes. herein, we report the results obtained in the hPLc analysis of omeprazole and its impurities B and E on the AcMPc-based chiralpak IG-3 cSP（cSP） under polar organic conditions. A systematic evaluation of the retention characteristics of the selected benzimidazole chiral probes was carried out by changing the composition of the mobile phase and the column temperature. It is worth emphasizing that the high affinity of both enantiomers of all analytes recorded in pure methanol mode dramatically decreased incorporating small volumes of either basic or acid additives in the mobile phase. Unspecified sites of the IG-3 cSP presumably involved in strong and non-stereoselective h-bonding contacts with chiral analytes are assumed responsible for the unproductive retention process.

Backward erosion piping involves the gradual removal of granular material under the action of water flow from the foundation of a dam or levee, whereby shallow pipes are formed that grow in the direction opposite to the flow. This pipe-forming process can ultimately lead to failure of a water-retaining structure and is considered one of the most important failure mechanisms for dikes and levees in the Netherlands and the United States. Modeling of this mechanism requires the assessment of hydraulic conditions in the pipe, which are controlled by the particle equilibrium at the pipe wall. Since the pipe’s dimensions are controlled by the inflow to the pipe from the porous medium, the flow through the pipe is thought to be laminar for fine-to medium-grained sands. The literature provides data for incipient motion in laminar flow, which is reviewed here and complemented with data from backward erosion experiments. The experiments illustrate the applicability of the laminar incipient motion data to determine the erosion pipe dimensions and corresponding pipe hydraulics for fine-to medium-grained sands, for the purpose of backward erosion piping modeling.

双氧水是一种广泛应用的重要化学品.目前,双氧水大规模制备主要通过高能耗的蒽醌氧化还原-蒸馏浓缩过程实现.近年来,利用可再生电能经氧还原反应实现分散式双氧水制备引起了广泛的兴趣.在此过程中,高效电催化剂的作用非常重要.除已报道的基于贵金属及其合金、金属氧化物和碳基催化剂外,氮原子稳定的单原子金属钴催化剂(co-N/c)因其优异的性能受到越来越多的关注.尽管通过调节单原子钴活性位点的周围环境可以提升其催化活性,但常用的高温热解方法仍很难制得原子精度结构,因此,仍需探索其他简单有效的催化活性提升方法.本文通过简单的界面工程方法成功地制备了具有单原子金属钴活性位点的非均相分子催化剂,可高效生产双氧水.首先将具有典型co-N/c结构的酞菁钴分子(coPc)分散于多壁碳纳米管(cNT)表面,得到一类具有位点结构并充分暴露的非均相分子催化剂(coPc/cNT),避免了由于活性位点结构不一和扩散传质可能带来的影响.随后利用溶剂互溶法将疏水离子液体均匀地覆盖在coPc/cNT表面,实现界面工程改性,并通过调控体系中离子液体与coPc/cNT催化剂的质量比(x),制备了一系列精确控制离子液体覆盖层厚度的催化剂(coPc/cNT-x).采用高角球差扫描透射显微镜、X射线光电子能谱和同步辐射X光吸收光谱技术表征了单原子co活性位点的结构,结果表明,离子液体包裹不影响钴原子的局部环境和电子结构.离子液体包裹可有效提升催化剂活性,且提升程度与离子液体层厚度密切相关.进一步实验结果证实,性能提升主要来自两方面.首先,与水溶液相比,离子液体可以通过更大的氧溶解度(2.12×10^(−3)mol/L)在活性位点周边建立富氧环境,从热力学角度提升氧还原反应活性.其次,其疏水性可以使生成的双氧水分子快速从催化剂表面脱离,避免其富集并进一步还原降解.实验发现最佳离子液体层厚度为8 nm,该厚度下催化剂生成双氧水的动力学电流密度是参比催化剂(coPc/cNT)的近4倍,且生成双氧水选择性提升至92%,在两电极电解槽测试中可以稳定地实现3.71 molh2O2 gcat^(–1)h^(–1)的产率.本工作证明界面工程可以作为一类简单易行的方法,有效提升电化学制备双氧水的效率.

Within the global monitoring plan(GMP)established by article 16 of the Stockholm convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants,perfluorooctane sulfonic acid(PFOS),perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA),and perfluorohexane sulfonic acid(PFhxS)are recommended for analysis in core matrices to assess occurrence and changes geographically and with *** 101 samples consisting of 86 national pools and 15 pools from States in Brazil obtained between 2008 and 2019,PFhxS was detected in 17%of the national pools and none in *** and PFOS had a detection frequency of 100%and 92%,*** perfluoroalkane substances(PFAS)had either low detection frequencies and median values of zero(carboxylic acids c4-c11;except PFOA)or could not be quantified in any sample(sulfonic acids,c4-c10,and long-chain carboxylic acids,c_(12)-c_(14)).correlation between PFOA and PFOS was moderately(r=0.58).Whereas median values were almost identical(18.9 pg/g *** PFOS;18.6 pg/g *** PFOA),PFOS showed larger ranges(han PFOA(hown that wealthier countries had higher PFOA concentrations than poorer *** difference in concentrations was found for samples collected in countries having or not having ratified the Stockholm convention amendments to list PFOS or *** goal to achieve 50%decrease in concentrations within ten years was met by Antigua and Barbuda,Kenya,and Nigeria for PFOS and by Antigua and Barbuda for *** a few cases,increases were observed;one country for PFOS,four countries for PFOA.

Based on the foundation laid by the h-index we introduce and study the R- and AR-indices. These new indices eliminate some of the disadvantages of the h-index, especially when they are used in combina-tion with the h-index. The R-index measures the h-core’s citation intensity, while AR goes one step further and takes the age of publications into account. This allows for an index that can actually in-crease and decrease over time. We propose the pair (h, AR) as a meaningful indicator for research evaluation. We further prove a relation characterizing the h-index in the power law model.

Purpose: To show for which publication-citation arrays h-type indices are equal and to reconsider rational h-type indices. Results for these research questions fill some gaps in existing basic knowledge about h-type ***/methodology/approach: The results and introduction of new indicators are based on well-known ***: The research purpose has been reached: answers to the first questions are obtained and new indicators are defined. Research limitations: h-type indices do not meet the Bouyssou-Marchant independence *** implications: On the one hand, more insight has been obtained for well-known indices such as the h-and the g-index and on the other hand, simple extensions of existing indicators have been added to the bibliometric toolbox. Relative rational h-type indices are more useful for individuals than the existing absolute ***/value: Answers to basic questions such as "when are the values of two h-type indices equal" are provided. A new rational h-index is introduced.
