The development of highly efficient non-precious-metal-based electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction is imperative for promoting the large-scale application of electrochemical water splitting.Herein,nitrogen/phosphorus co-doped carbon nanorods encapsulated Mo_(2)C nanoparticles(Mo_(2)C@PNc)have been prepared by pre-phosphating treatment in combination of the coordination with polydopamine and the subsequent pyrolysis.The phosphating temperature has a significant effect on the content of phosphorus within the resultant Mo_(2)C@PNC,and the optimal catalyst delivers superior HER activity with the low overpotential of 104 mV at a current density of 10 mAcm^(-2) and good stability for 8 h,which has been theoretically demonstrated to originate from the synergistic effect between P doping and Mo_(2)C induced electron redistribution of nitrogen-doped carbon layer.

A Deep Learning Approach for Forecasting Thunderstorm Gusts in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Region

Thunderstorm gusts are a common form of severe convective weather in the warm season in North China,and it is of great importance to correctly forecast them.At present,the forecasting of thunderstorm gusts is mainly based on traditional subjective methods,which fails to achieve high-resolution and high-frequency gridded forecasts based on multiple observation sources.In this paper,we propose a deep learning method called Thunderstorm Gusts TransU-net(TGTransUnet)to forecast thunderstorm gusts in North China based on multi-source gridded product data from the Institute of Urban Meteorology(IUM)with a lead time of 1 to 6 h.To determine the specific range of thunderstorm gusts,we combine three meteorological variables:radar reflectivity factor,lightning location,and 1-h maximum instantaneous wind speed from automatic weather stations(AWSs),and obtain a reasonable ground truth of thunderstorm gusts.Then,we transform the forecasting problem into an image-to-image problem in deep learning under the TG-TransUnet architecture,which is based on convolutional neural networks and a transformer.The analysis and forecast data of the enriched multi-source gridded comprehensive forecasting system for the period 2021–23 are then used as training,validation,and testing datasets.Finally,the performance of TG-TransUnet is compared with other methods.The results show that TG-TransUnet has the best prediction results at 1–6 h.The IUM is currently using this model to support the forecasting of thunderstorm gusts in North China.

Humans can perceive our complex world through multi-sensory fusion.Under limited visual conditions,people can sense a variety of tactile signals to identify objects accurately and rapidly.However,replicating this unique capability in robots remains a significant challenge.Here,we present a new form of ultralight multifunctional tactile nano-layered carbon aerogel sensor that provides pressure,temperature,material recognition and 3D location capabilities,which is combined with multimodal supervised learning algorithms for object recognition.The sensor exhibits human-like pressure(0.04–100 kPa)and temperature(21.5–66.2℃)detection,millisecond response times(11 ms),a pressure sensitivity of 92.22 kPa^(−1)and triboelectric durability of over 6000 cycles.The devised algorithm has universality and can accommodate a range of application scenarios.The tactile system can identify common foods in a kitchen scene with 94.63%accuracy and explore the topographic and geomorphic features of a Mars scene with 100%accuracy.This sensing approach empowers robots with versatile tactile perception to advance future society toward heightened sensing,recognition and intelligence.

Oceanic uptake and storage of anthropogenic CO_(2)(CANT)are regulated by ocean circulation and ventilation.To decipher the storage and redistribution of CANT in the western North Pacific,where a major CANT sink develops,we investigated the water column carbonate system,dissolved inorganic radiocarbon and ancillary parameters in May and August 2018,spanning the Kuroshio Extension(KE,35-39°N),Kuroshio Recirculation(KR,27-35°N)and subtropical(21-27°N)zones.Water column CANT inventories were estimated to be 40.5±1.1 mol m^(-2) in the KR zone and 37.2±0.9 mol m^(-2) in the subtropical zone.In comparison with historical data obtained in 2005,relatively high rates of increase of the CANT inventory of 1.05±0.20 and 1.03±0.12 mol m^(-2) yr^(-1) in the recent decade were obtained in the KR and subtropical zones,respectively.Our water-mass-based analyses suggest that formation and transport of subtropical mode water dominate the deep penetration,storage,and redistribution of CANT in those two regions.In the KE zone,however,both the water column CANT inventory and the decadal CANT accumulation rate were small and uncertain owing to the dynamic hydrology,where the naturally uplifting isopycnal surfaces make CANT penetration relatively shallow.The findings of this study improve the understanding of the spatiotemporal variations of CANT distribution,storage,and transport in the western North Pacific.

Understanding the paleoenvironment and phytogeographical history of the Tibetan Plateau,China relies on discovering new plant fossils.The Qaidam Basin has long been regarded as an ideal‘field laboratory’to investigate the paleoclimate and paleobiological evolution of the northern Tibetan Plateau.However,fossil angiosperms from the Qaidam Basin are rare,and our knowledge of its paleovegetation is poor.Here,we report fossil leaves and fruits of Betulaceae found from the Oligocene Shangganchaigou Formation of northwestern Qaidam Basin(Huatugou area).Comparative morphological analysis led us to assign the fruits to the Betula subgenus Betula and the leaves to Carpinus grandis.These findings,together with other reported fossil plants from the same locality,reveal a close floristic linkage between the Qaidam Basin and Europe during the Oligocene.The northern pathway of this floristic exchange may have crossed through the Qaidam Basin during the late Paleogene.This floristic linkage may have been facilitated by the continuous narrowing of the Turgai Strait and stronger westerlies,which transported moisture and provided favorable climatic conditions.Indeed,fossil plants collected from the Qaidam Basin suggest that during the Oligocene this region had warm and humid deciduous broad-leaf forest,which differs from the region’s modern vegetation and indicates that the Qaidam Basin may have been a suitable region for these plants to flourish and spread during the Oligocene.

The CoVID-19 pandemic that started in late 2019 is sweeping through the world,posing historic challenges to global health,and disrupting social and economic lives.Previous and recent studies indicate that monoclonal antibodies can be efficacious in preventing and treating SARSCoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 infections.Using a phage display platform,we have identified dozens of monoclonal antibodies that bind to diverse epitope groups on the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.Many of them bound to the receptor binding domain(RBD)and inhibited ACE2-RBD interaction.

To the Editor:Psoriatic arthritis(PsA)is a highly heterogeneous inflammatory arthritis.It occurs in up to 30%of patients with psoriasis and can have severe impacts on peripheral joints,spine,tendon insertions,and fingers. ^([1])Radiographic progression is currently the preferred method for assessing structural damage of PsA. ^([2])Biologic treatment options for PsA include tumor necrosis factor-αinhibitors(TNFi),interleukin-12/23 inhibitors,and interleukin-17(IL-17)inhibitors.The therapeutic effects of IL-17 inhibitors on structural damage were not consistent over multiple trials.Therefore,a systematic review and meta-analysis of the available randomized controlled trials(RCTs)was conducted to quantify the overall effect of IL-17 inhibitors on structural damage in PsA.This study was registered with PROSPERO(No.CRD42022301774).

Haplotype-resolved Genome of Sika Deer Reveals Allele-specific Gene Expression and Chromosome Evolution

Despite the scientific and medicinal importance of diploid sika deer(Cervus nippon),its genome resources are limited and haplotype-resolved chromosome-scale assembly is urgently needed.To explore mechanisms underlying the expression patterns of the allele-specific genes in antlers and the chromosome evolution in Cervidae,we report,for the first time,a high-quality haplotype-resolved chromosome-scale genome of sika deer by integrating multiple sequencing strategies,which was anchored to 32 homologous groups with a pair of sex chromosomes(XY).Several expanded genes(RET,PPP2R1A,PPP2R1B,YWHAB,YWHAZ,and RPS6)and positively selected genes(eIF4E,Wnt8A,Wnt9B,BMP4,and TP53)were identified,which could contribute to rapid antler growth without carcinogenesis.A comprehensive and systematic genome-wide analysis of allele expression patterns revealed that most alleles were functionally equivalent in regulating rapid antler growth and inhibiting oncogenesis.Comparative genomic analysis revealed that chromosome fission might occur during the divergence of sika deer and red deer(Cervus elaphus),and the olfactory sensation of sika deer might be more powerful than that of red deer.Obvious inversion regions containing olfactory receptor genes were also identified,which arose since the divergence.In conclusion,the high-quality allele-aware reference genome provides valuable resources for further illustration of the unique biological characteristics of antler,chromosome evolution,and multi-omics research of cervid animals.

Reviews and prospects of human factors research on curve driving

In order to fully understand the research progress of human factors and traffic safety in curve driving,from the perspective of driver-vehicle-road-environment dynamic traffic system,this paper explored the current research status and development trend of human factors of curve driving,and displayed the development process and structural relationship of human factors research of curve driving by using scientific knowledge map.Through the core collection database of Web of Science,1408 English literatures related to human factors research of curve driving published from 2012 to 2022(as of October 1,2022)were obtained,and the literatures in this field were sorted and analyzed based on the VOSviewer visualization software.The results show that China,Tongji University and Accident Analysis and Prevention are the country,institution and journal with the largest contribution rate in the field of human factors research on curve driving.Co-citation analysis shows that the research contents in this field are divided into 5 clusters:driver’s visual characteristics,risk of collision,vehicle dynamics characteristics,the influence of traffic engineering facilities on driving behavior,selection of driving speed.The co-occurrence analysis of keywords shows that the topics of curve geometry design and vehicle dynamics,driving behavior and risk,driving speed and safety,behavior prediction and intervention measures are the current research hotspots in the research field.It is found that the development trend of traffic safety improvement in curves is to construct a continuous,consistent,multi-level visual reference frame conforming to driving expectation through visual guiding technology,and summarizes the technical concept of linear visual guidance.This study can provide a reference for the study of human factors of curve driving.

[目的/意义]学术论文是学者科研水平与学术贡献的重要佐证和标志。构建科学的学术论文评价模型,对人才评价、科研经费分配、评奖评优、晋升及招聘等都具有重要指导意义。[方法/过程]文章选择Web of Science数据库中“Information Science and Library Science”学科类别下发表于2010年的论文作为研究对象。首先,基于论文多方面的关联特征构建模型特征空间;然后,采用机器学习中被广泛用于预测任务的有监督学习算法——BP神经网络训练模型,并进行十折交叉验证确保模型稳定性;最后,通过计算模型的校正决定系数(R_(adjusted)^(2))和均方根误差(RMSE),选择出最优模型。[结果/结论]本研究构建的最优BP神经网络模型的校正决定系数(R_(adjusted)^(2))达0.91,均方根误差(RMSE)约19.8,评价性能较好。
