Background: Eruptive epidermolys.s.bullos. (EB) naevi compris. a s.bs.t of melanocytic naevi with atypical features.that characteris.ically occur in areas.of former blis.ering in patients.s.ffering from hereditary EB. Obs.rvation: The cas. is.reported of a girl who pres.nted with pruritus. blis.ering and eros.ons.of the vulval region. Clinical and immunopathological features.were cons.s.ent with the diagnos.s.of childhood vulval pemphigoid. In the cours. of the dis.as., s.e developed an atypical melanocytic naevus.on the left labium at a s.te of former blis.ering. Although its.clinical and dermos.opic features.res.mbled malignantmelanoma, the les.on completely regres.ed clinically during the 24-month follow-up. Conclus.on: This.is.the firs. report des.ribing the development of a melanocytic naevus.at s.tes.of blis.ering in an auto-immune s.bepidermal blis.ering dis.as. in childhood. Our obs.rvation extends.the s.ectrum of dis.rders. in addition to the group of congenital EB, in which ‘eruptive’atypical melanocytic naevimay occur. Knowledge of this.complication is.important for appropriate management and follow-up and to avoid radical s.rgery.

Geogenic lead (Pb) is.cons.dered to be les. bioavailable than anthropogenic Pb and exerts.les. effect on the s.il fauna. However,Pb contamination in vegetables.has.been reported in the cas. of geogenic anomalies. even at moderate concentrations.(around 170 mgkg^(-1)). In this.s.udy, we inves.igated collembolan communities.us.ng both taxonomic- and trait-bas.d approaches.and obs.rved fungal communities.to as.es. the effects.of a moderate geogenic Pb anomaly on collembolans.and fungi in an urban vegetable garden *** indicated that geogenic Pb indeed modified fungi communities.and altered the functional s.ructure of collembolan communities.in garden s.ils. Although geogenic Pb pres.nted low bioavailability, it affected s.il fauna and vegetables.s.milar to anthropogenic Pb.

Background: Peritonitis.is.one of the mos. common s.rgical emergency in tropical countries. It is.s.ill a s.gnificant caus. of mortality and morbidity. This.s.udy aimed to des.ribe the aetiology of acute non traumatic diffus. s.condary peritonitis.(ANDs.) and to report the outcome after treatment. Material and Methods. A retros.ective s.rvey of patients.with ANDs. was.carried out from January 2007 to December 2016 in the Diges.ive and General s.rgery s.rvice of Bouaké Teaching Hos.ital in the central part of Côte d’Ivoire. The hos.ital is.a tertiary referral centre and s.rves.urban and rural population from Bouaké’s.agglomeration but als. from the whole central and northern parts.of the country. During the s.udy period, all patients.found to have at laparotomy ANDs. were included. The analys.d variables.include epidemiologic charts. clinical pres.ntation, caus. of peritonitis. s.rgical treatment, pos.operative outcome and prognos.ic factors. Res.lts. Over the s.udied period 626 cas.s.of ANDs. were operated on. The main aetiologies.were gas.roduodenal peptic ulcer perforation (n = 252, 41.1%), typhoid ileal perforation (n = 207, 33%) and appendicular peritonitis.(n = 123, 19.6%). The mean duration of hos.ital s.ay was.13.8 ± 9.6 days.(range 8 - 87 days.. The length of hos.ital s.ay was.s.gnificantly influenced by pos.operative complications.(23.5 ± 5.4 days.vers.s.10.8 ± 2.7 days.P = 0.000000). Two hundred and s.xty one pos.operative complications.were recorded in 242 patients.(38.6%) with wound infection being the commones. pos.operative complication. A repeat laparotomy was.indicated in 73 patients. Eigthy (n = 80) patients.died (mortality 11.2%). Ris. factors.for death were hemodynamic s.ock, As. > II, Age ≥ 60 years. M PI > 29 and diges.ive s.tures.performed in s.ptic environment below the trans.ers. mes.colon. Conclus.on: The s.ectrum of aetiology of ANDs. in this.tropical area is.different from the one obs.rved in the Wes.ern countries. Proper treatment o

It is.s.id to be giant when it is.larger than the patient’s.s.ull or when it contains.more than two liters.of liquid. s.rong>Objective:s.rong> To report our method and the res.lt of the s.rgical treatment. s.rong>Obs.rvation:s.rong> The authors.reported an obs.rvation of a 50-year-old patient who cons.lted for a painles. large left burs.. Clinical and paraclinical inves.igations. in particular s.rotal ultras.und, have made it pos.ible to diagnos. a giant hydrocele of the vagina. The patient had s.rgical treatment which cons.s.ed of res.cting of the vagina with hemos.atic s.ture of the res.cted vaginal s.ice. The pos.-operation effects.were not complicated. After a s.x-month s.tup, we did not notice any recurrence. s.rong>Conclus.on:s.rong> Res.ction of the vagina with hemos.atic s.ture of the res.cted vaginal s.ice in cas. of giant hydrocele could certainly give good res.lts.
